Chapter 39: Chapter 39
Aviena's POV
"Congratulations, Big Sister." Ruby smiled slightly at me.
“Thank you, Ruby. How are you feeling?” I asked her.
"I'm getting there like you, Big Sister…" she said while smiling at me.
It's been months since we started to go to therapies. It was months of healing. River is with me all that time while Ruby has Auntie.
"I'm happy that you'll finally get married again with Kuya River, Big Sister," she said so I smiled and nodded. Our third wedding got postponed because of what I wanted. River supported me and help me with what I wanted to do. He was always there by my side that time. We waited for this day to happen.
Almost all of us in the house were excited as well. I can't help but feel happy about our wedding. The first two times we got married, I wasn’t that happy. At first, I was too confused that I'll be marrying him, the second time I feel like it was not worth it because I thought Marissa and him were dating. Now, I'm going to finally marry him without thinking of anything. I'm just really excited because this will be my dream wedding.
And now here we are, the days passed by so fast and we're here. We will get married again.
"I wish that we completely heal for the things we use to cry with," I told Ruby which was why she nodded.
"We'll get there, Big Sister," she said, smiling at me.
“I’m going now, Big Sister. I can't wait to see the happiness on your face later. ” She even hugged me so I couldn’t help but smile. She used to be someone who smile a lot but those past few months became a really hard one for her. The reason why she slowly lost her bright smile. Uncle is now in jail. Even though the world turned upside down, I know that she still considered Uncle her father.
She waved when she came out. Atasha also came by.
“You’re getting married again. I hope all!” Atasha said when she approached me while Ms. Cho was fixing my makeup.
“Congrats, Vena! I know you're happier right now,” Atasha said to me so I just smiled. Atasha is really consistent. We rarely talk as of now but she still treats me as her friend.
She also said goodbye quickly because Black was waiting for her outside.
"I can't wait to see you walk in the aisle, Big Sister," Marieta said while looking at me. She looks so pure while looking at me. I can't help but smile because of that.
"I always wish for your happiness, Big Sister… focus on yourself now…" she said while hugging me. I couldn’t help but grin before messing up her hair. I'm happy that they'll be here watching one of the most important events of my life.
"Big Sister will still be here for you, you will always remember that, Marieta," I said, smiling at her. She nodded at me. Even when Grandma picked me up, the event hadn't started but she was already crying.
"I'm glad you met a man who will take care of you forever, my granddaughter," she said, hugging me tightly.
"Grandma will always be happy for you," she said so I just smiled before nodding to her. We just talked for a while until the wedding coordinator called us. I thanked her too for everything.
I felt nervous as I started walking down the aisle.
I can't help but cry when I saw River in the front. He was just looking at me. There was still a trace of concern on his face when he saw me crying.
All of them were looking at us. Grandma's crying on my side too. I can't help but cry more. My heart is just so full. I feel like I'm floating on a cloud now.
Until I got to the front I was just crying. When River approached me, he couldn’t help but speak.
“You’re crying again. Are you starting to hate the idea of being married to me?”
“Stupid. While would I? I'm just really happy…” I said, trying to smile at him even though I felt nervous at the same time. I could see his gradual smile because of what I said.
"I thought you still don't want to get married to me…" he said. I don’t know if I can see the nervousness on his face or what. I just laughed before shrugging.
The ceremony has already begun. I couldn’t help but look at the altarpiece before turning to River. I slowly held his hands before he smiled.
"I'll introduce you to him this time," I whispered softly to him so he stared at me. Gradually the smile on his lips also curved there.
I always say to myself that when I get married, I will introduce him, and this time my dream l came true. I'm really introducing him to Him.
River was just holding my hands the whole time until we needed to exchange vows.
“I never believe in such corny things called love. I never really imagine myself getting knot with someone else. Having a child or even having a family. I thought I would live alone in my house without anything. Not until you happened… You give a sprinkle of happiness in my life. You make me realize how boring that life I wanted to live. You thought me how to live a real life, Aviena… I'm thankful that He let me meet you… I love you, Mrs. Savellano,” he said before kissing me on the forehead. I can't help but smile. He used to hate things like this. Those vows that he thinks of as corny ones.
“I said to myself when I was young that I’ll find a prince charming that will let me feel I’m beautiful but He gave me someone who will tell me how ugly things are… someone who will tell me my flaws but will still embrace that pitiful and ugly young lady… With you, I don't have to act… I could be the ugliest person and most childish one and you will still accept those things. Thank you for embracing every aspect of who I am, Mister… I love you, River Savellano… ”
After exchanging vows, he kissed me on the lips. I was so happy, especially that the people who are here right now are the people we cherished the most.
After the wedding, we also went straight to the venue.
Ms. Matilda is the exclusive reporter of the bachelors so she also took some of our statements for the wedding. She's actually Demon's girlfriend or I don't know? Their relationship is just so messy.
My family and River's parents actually meet. River asks his parents to meet those important people in my life. The conversation went well, they also had nothing to say because River and I planned this wedding.
His family soften a little bit. Somehow they talk to me properly.
“Why you've been married three times but I still don't have a great-grandchild? How slow are you, Grandson?” Grandpa laughed at us. I can't avoid shaking my head because when he actually sees us, that's all he's thinking about.
“I can't wait for that. I hope you won't hide my niece or nephew from me,” Ocean said, who is next to Marissa now. River scolded her sister.
"You can't handle our child, you almost made her hate me," River told her. Ocean sighed there.
"I didn't know that she's the celebrity you like for a long time—" Before Ocean could finish what he was going to say, River covered her mouth while Marissa laughed there.
“Why? Are you still shy to let Aviena know that you're actually her fan?” Marissa laughed. He gave a bad look to the two opposite us. I was surprised to look at them and did not know what they were saying.
“I’m really sorry for acting like River’s girlfriend. I just want to know if this guy has a chance with you but come to think to those days, you always seem like you don't really care about him at all.” Marissa laughed.
"I thought I would feel sorry for my friend here but it looks like he was able to charm you!" Marissa laughed.
“We’re just really best friends since we were young that’s why I did that. I promise,” she told me with one hand raised. I couldn't help but smile there. I actually believe her. River already told me about that too.
"But seriously, how did Kuya manage to get you?" Ocean asked, folding her arms. I just shrugged my head there. I actually don't know what to say to her at all. Well, maybe because she used to hate me.
"Hmm, maybe because he has a lot of money?" I ask. Marissa laughed as Ocean dropped her jaw while looking at me. Her gaze immediately deepened because that's why Marissa just held her arm while laughing.
"Don't even think of doing anything, Ocean. Even your brother seems ready to waste money at any time," Marissa said with a laugh before shrugging her shoulders. Ocean just looked at me before rolling her eyes.
"Yes, whatever!" she said with a glare.
"But let me babysit when the time comes," she said as if threatening us. River and I just laughed when she turned her back on us and marched away while her hair was waving.
I can't help but smile because of that. She just really has a nasty personality but like River said, she's nice.
We just entertain our guests until River's friends are the only ones who are here. I just laughed when River really wanted to drive them away.
"Calm down, Beh," Lake said laughing so they laughed.
“Stupid, you're not just under now. You also get your girlfriend's personality,” Light said with a laugh. I just shake my head because of their noise.
Until the end, they were just pure laughter and noise while talking.
"Hey! Bring me down! It's embarrassing!” I laughed at River when he carried me with a bridal carry into our villa.
He did not follow what I said. Until I got inside, he just carried me. He also immediately lowered me to our bed.
"Damn… I'm falling harder with you every day, Wife…" he said slowly kissing me on my lips.
"I love you. Every day,” he whispered to me. He even brought his lip to my ear before whispering again.
"Ready yourself, Wife, no one will sleep tonight."
