Chapter 91: Chapter 91
Patricia walked downstairs, only to see the food she cooked herself and instructed the chef to serve her husband left untouched on the dining table.
“Grace! Grace!!”
The young lady rushed out of the kitchen, straight to the dining room. “Yes, ma'am.”
“Why is the food still here? Didn't I instruct you to serve my husband the food before he leaves for work?” Patricia yelled at her.
Grace shook her head. “Yes, ma'am. I served the food when he was still here, but he said he would rather not eat.”
“What… What? Did you tell him that I was the one who prepared this food specially for him?” Patricia freaked out.
“I did, ma'am. He was going to eat the food, but immediately I informed him that it was prepared by you, then he said he wasn't hungry.” Grace replied.
Upon hearing what Grace said, Patricia clenched her fist in annoyance. Ever since she came back to the house with her child, Justin has been treating her coldly. Obviously, he was only nice to her because she was carrying his child.
Tears circulated in her eyes, but she blinked hard to prevent herself from crying. She quickly turned to go upstairs, but Grace spoke up. “What should I do with the food, ma'am? It's getting cold.”
“Microwave it, and scoop it into a lunchbox. I'll take it to my husband's workplace.” Patricia managed to say before going upstairs. Then, she thought.
“There is no way I will take my time preparing such delicious food for him, and he'll let the food go to waste. I had to wake up early to prepare this for him. Such an ingrate!”
A few minutes later, Patricia had already taken her bath and dressed in a casual but classy outfit.
“Take good care of my baby. Make sure the baby doesn't cry, or go hungry. Do you understand me, Salome?” She turned to the nanny, who bowed slightly.
“Yes, ma'am.”
Picking up her purse, Patricia walked down the stairs. She headed straight to the kitchen to pick the lunchbox up.
In a few minutes, she was already in the car, driving to Justin's workplace. She drove into the work premises and headed into the office.
“Good morning, ma'am.” The receptionist greeted, but she ignored her and walked away.
Patricia was about to enter his office when Justin's secretary stopped her from entering. “Good morning, ma'am. I'm sorry, but you are not allowed to enter the office. Do you have any appointments with the Manager, Justin?”
Likewise, Patricia stared at her from head to toe. The secretary's skirt was a bit short, and that got her uncomfortable.
Freaking out, Patricia snorted as she glared hard at her. “You must be stupid to ask me that. Do you know who I am? How dare you stop me?”
“I'm truly sorry, ma. I'm only acting on orders. The manager is in a meeting, so you'll have to wait for him.” The girl replied politely, despite how rude Patricia spoke to her.
She scoffed. “For your information, your manager happens to be my husband. Do you know that you can lose your job at the snap of my finger?”
The secretary gasped in shock, and clasped her palm on her mouth. “I'm… I'm deeply sorry, ma'am.”
“TCH… Sorry for your miserable self. Get lost!” Patricia kissed her teeth loudly and stormed into Justin's office.
Justin was having a conversation with an investor. He turned to the door when he heard a creak from the door. “Patricia?” He mumbled.
He ignored her and rounded up the contract with the investor, and he left his office. Meanwhile, Patricia sat on the couch with her legs crossed.
“What are you doing here, Patricia? You should have called me on the phone instead of coming over.” Justin said simply as he operated the desktop in front of him.
Patricia got up and walked to him. She dropped the lunchbox on the table in front of him. “Why don't you want me to come over? Is there anything that you don't want me to know?”
Taking a deep exhale, Justin said. “What is this?”
“Isn't it obvious, my dear husband? I made this food specially for you. You don't know how stressful it is for me to stand in the kitchen preparing something for you. But you rejected my food, and left it to get cold.” Patricia sounded furious.
Justin calmly replied. “This is my workplace, Patricia. How could you bring this up here? I'm very busy, and I'm not hungry. Take the lunchbox back home, I've eaten.”
“Why? Is it because your darling secretary must have made breakfast for you, huh?” Patricia banged the table.
Holding back his anger, Justin spoke in between his teeth. “What has my secretary gotten to do with this? You just got to my office, and you're already making trouble. Don't you get tired of this? I never told you to prepare breakfast for me.”
“I… You're so ungrateful. I just wanted to make breakfast for my husband. Is it bad for me to do that? I'm your wife, Justin. The mother of your only child.” Patricia broke into tears.
Justin gulped hard. “Don't try to create a scene here. I'm not starving, and you can't force me to eat.”
“Damn you, Justin! F*** you.” She cursed as she pushed the lunchbox and the food thrown on the ground.
She stormed out of the office, feeling so bad. “He doesn't even have a single likeness for me.”
…
“You… Why would you ask me that, baby? I thought you said it yourself that I'm not allowed to have feelings for your daddy, huh?” Valerie managed to speak.
Audrey chuckled. “Yes. No one is allowed to nurse feelings for my dad, except you.”
“You… You want me for your daddy?” Valerie stammered.
Reluctantly, Audrey nodded her head. “Please, be mommy. Tell me daddy you want to marry him.”
“WHAT?” Valerie gasped in shock.
