Chapter 69: Chapter 69

Blood oozed out of Audrey's nostrils and mouth. Valerie gave out a loud scream as her hands were soiled with the blood.

“Help! Please take her to the hospital.” Valerie cried out helplessly.

Without hesitation, the President quickly carried Audrey and rushed out of the house. Valerie, even though she was still suffering from the twisted ankle, she managed to limp outside the mansion.

Shocked, Lady Davison rushed into the car, and it drove off with her and Audrey. Rebecca walked out of the house, fuming furiously. Things were no longer going as she planned. Valerie was supposed to be out of the mansion already, and now Audrey has ruined her plans.

Valerie limped to Audrey's bus driver with tears in her eyes. “Please… please take me to the hospital. I need to be there.”

“Where do you think you're going, Valerie?” Rebecca gritted her teeth in annoyance.

Turning to her, Valerie sniffed. “I want to go to the hospital. Audrey… She's bleeding. I can't be here knowing fully well that she's not okay.”

Rebecca clenched her fist in annoyance. Valerie was nothing but an eyesore to her, and hearing her say what she just said even added up to the hatred she had for her. “Shut the f*** up! TCH… Who the hell do you think you are? I can't believe you! Seems you've forgotten that you were just relieved of your job a few minutes ago.”

“Should we still be talking about this? Even if I have to leave the mansion, that will be after Audrey's recovery.” Valerie boldly replied.

Getting a hold of herself, Rebecca forced a smile at her. “You must think highly of yourself, Valerie Watson. I'm really disappointed at your stupidity. Whatever it is you think you are is just a joke.”

“I understand that you don't want me here, ma'am. But this is not what I want to do right now. Mr. Driver, please take me to the hospital.” Valerie beckoned on him.

The driver rushed to help her limp into the car, and the car was driven out of the mansion. Rebecca stamped her feet on the ground in so much annoyance.

“This girl is nothing but a pest. Just when I thought she's going to be driven out of the house, she just found a way to escape. Haha! You must think you've escaped, but you don't know what's going to hit you.”

With that, Rebecca pressed the key button of her car and hopped into the car. Igniting the car, her cell phone rang aloud. She quickly accepted the call, and placed the phone on her right ear.

“Hey, babes. What's up? Have you finally gotten rid of her?” The voice came from the other end.

Rebecca sighed in disappointment. “I wish!”

“What? Did something go wrong?”

“That drama queen of a daughter that Ethan has. Both of them are really so pesky that I feel like crushing them in my palms. So annoying!” Rebecca spoke without exhaling.

“What are you going to do now, Rebecca? What exactly happened?” The voice continued after a few minutes of silence.

Rebecca gulped. “Audrey was rushed to the hospital, and that stupid Valerie went with them.”

“They have all gone to the hospital, right? So, what are you still doing there? Why aren't you going to the hospital?” The voice asked curiously.

Rebecca snorted disapprovingly. “Oh, come on, babes. You know how much I hate going to the hospital. I can't take the smell that comes from medicine and all that hospital stuff. Gross! I feel like I'm going to get sick there.”

“You're so unbelievable, Rebecca. Have you forgotten the reason you came all the way from the States? Don't you know that for you to be able to gain Ethan's affection, you have to be concerned about his daughter?”

Scratching her head, Rebecca exhaled deeply. “But I can't stand the stench coming from that hospital. I'm going to get sick from inhaling all that.”

“The earlier you start acting concerned about his daughter, the better for your relationship with him.”

With that, Rebecca hung the call-up and groaned in annoyance. “I don't have a choice.” She speeded out of the compound, mumbling in anger.

At the Hospital, Ethan was at the doctor's office. He banged his fist on the table in fury. “What are you saying, doctor? It's my only child we're talking about here.”

“Calm down, President Ethan. I know how you feel. Your daughter lost a lot of blood, and she's in need of a blood transfusion…”

Ethan interrupted him. “Then stick your freaking syringe into my vein and get blood for my daughter. I will not take it lightly with you if anything happens to my daughter, doctor.”

“I'm sorry, but you can't donate blood to your daughter. You're not in good health to do that for the meantime. We're doing our best to get a donor for your daughter. Your daughter's blood type is Ab negative, and it's rare.” The doctor snapped.

Ethan sat heavily on the couch. “How do I go about this, then? Are you saying I'm just going to watch my daughter in pain without doing anything?”

“Doctor, please, you have to do something. I'm short of words. It's my only grandchild we're talking about.” His mother, who had been so quiet ever since they got into the doctor's office, managed to speak.

Ethan turned to her, and eyed her angrily. It was all her fault that his daughter was in this predicament.

“It's very rare to find someone who has an AB negative blood type. I just hope it won't be too late.” The doctor added.

The door creaked open, and someone said sharply. “I'm an AB negative blood type, let me donate my blood to her.”

They all turned swiftly. “Valerie?”
