Chapter 112: Chapter 112

“No, you listen to me, Ethan.” Mrs. Davison yelled at him angrily.

Calmly, Ethan sipped from the glass of orange juice and replied. “For the past few years, I've always listened to you. Mom, I practically do every single thing that you've ever wanted. This is the only thing I've decided to do, and you're not going to support me, really?”

“Ethan, you're my son. I can never deceive you. That woman, you see that Valerie girl, she's not the one for you. Have you forgotten that you have been engaged to Rebecca for almost three years?” She continued ranting.

Ethan scoffed. “An engagement that I've already called off, or is there any other one that I don't know of?”

Raising her brows in surprise. Mrs. Davison asked. “I beg your pardon.”

“That's true, Mom. I already called off my engagement with her. Likewise, I told her that we were done.” Ethan replied.

Visibly shaking in annoyance, Mrs. Davison couldn't stop herself from giving Ethan a deafening slap. “How dare you, Ethan?”

Without saying a word, Ethan touched his slapped cheek, and smirked. “Really? I get slapped because I refused to marry your choice of girl? Hilarious! This is really amusing.”

“Do you know the height of what you just did, Ethan? Have you forgotten that Rebecca's father is one of the biggest shareholders in our company?” She was already boiling in anger.

Ethan rolled his eyes. “So what, Mom? Are you going to trade my happiness with money? I've made my decisions, and they are final. See you at my wedding tomorrow.”

“Wedding? What wedding?” Mrs. Davison glared at him, confused.

He continued. “Why do you think I'm here, Mom? Of course, I came to invite you to my wedding. That's the least I can do as your son.”

“Wait a damn minute! Are you trying to tell me that you are getting married to that peasant of a nanny tomorrow?” She freaked out.

Exhaling deeply, he nodded his head in agreement. “Yes, mom. You can call her whatever name you want to, but after tomorrow, the peasant girl is going to become your daughter-in-law. How does that sound?”

“I'm your mother, Ethan Davison. Did you forget that all because of Valerie Watson? Are you out of your mind? What the hell has that girl done to you?” She continued fuming with anger.

Ethan smirked. “Apart from being my daughter's mother, she stole from me.”

“Stole from you? You must be a joker, right? She stole from you, and you decided to marry her, huh? Shouldn't you call the police and get her locked up?” Mrs. Davison asked.

Taking a last sip from the glass, President Ethan stood up from the couch. “Oops! You forgot to ask what she had stolen from me. Actually, it's my heart she stole.”

“You darn the boy! I can't believe you're this stupid. You have to stop the wedding, Ethan.” She tried to convince him.

“That can only happen after you've driven a 14-inch knife into my chest. See you tomorrow, Mom.”

With that, he walked out of the huge sitting room, leaving Mrs. Davison in shock.

At Davison's villa, the night seemed to be longer than every other night. Valerie couldn't stop herself from glancing at the wall clock.

“Mommy, are you excited?” She felt her daughter's presence as she held her pinky finger.

Reciprocating with a wide smile, she nodded her head in agreement. “Yes, baby. I'm excited and very nervous. I haven't seen your daddy the whole day, and we're getting married tomorrow morning.”

“There is no need for you to be nervous, even before this wedding is happening, I've always considered you my mother and my father's wife. It's not a big deal turning it into a reality.” Audrey giggled.

Valerie smiled. “I can't believe I'm actually getting married tomorrow. Audrey, you have to be a good girl tomorrow, okay?”

“Sure, mom.”

The wedding bells were ringing. The sun shone brightly, and Valerie couldn't stop grinning from ear to ear. After getting her queenly bath in a bathtub filled with sweet-scented foam and petals, she stepped out and sat in front of the mirror.

Of course, she had the best makeup artist to give her face a makeover. Her hair was all curled up with a curler.

With a smile, she turned to the other side of the room to see her immaculate white wedding gown.

“Miss Valerie, you look exceptionally beautiful.” Some servants gushed over her beauty.

“Thank you, guys.”

In a few minutes, her hair was all made and her makeover made her beauty radiant as ever. Placing her leg on the stool, she was helped to put on her expensive shoes, designed with diamond stones.

“Oh, my gosh! Best friend!!” She heard someone scream as soon as the door creaked open.

Without sparing a glance, she knew it was no apart from Susan. She quickly got up and threw her arms around Susan, who couldn't help but jump in excitement like a child.

“Suzy, where's my daughter?” She asked as soon as they disengaged the hug.

Susan shook her head. “That goddaughter of mine is so hot headed. She's gone to be with her father.”

Valerie had her dress on, and was led out to the waiting car outside. It was time to head to the church. Susan helped her hold her train as they got into the car.

Meanwhile, Anastasia, who couldn't hold the anger she was feeling, walked away.

“Who would have thought that a maid who just got into the house a few months ago was actually going to become the mistress of the house? I can't even imagine it.”

The car was zoomed out of the compound immediately. They were on their way to the church when suddenly a car overtook them, and double-crossed the car.

Gunshots were heard as the masked gunners quickly opened the car door and shot into the car.
