Chapter 109: Chapter 109

Audrey was seated in the dining room, eating hungrily, when she sighted her mommy and daddy walking downstairs. Her eyes bulged out when she noticed her daddy holding Valerie's hand so tight.

“Good morning, baby.” Valerie smiled at her as Ethan helped her draw the seat out and she sat down.

Audrey gulped. “What's going on, mommy and daddy? Why are you guys holding hands?”

“Isn't that what you've always wanted? We are together now, which means you'll be getting a complete family soon.” Ethan snapped at her.

She gasped with smiles all over her face. “Really? This isn't a joke, right, mommy?”

Shyly, Valerie nodded her head in agreement. “Yes, Audrey. This is not a joke. Your daddy and I are officially dating.”

“Oh my God! That means I'm getting a younger sibling very soon, right?” Audrey jumped for joy.

Upon hearing Audrey, Valerie choked as she turned to look at Ethan. Surprisingly, he was smiling broadly and nodding in affirmation of what Audrey had just said. Valerie twitched her brows, and nudged him gently, then mumbled. “What are you so happy about? Don't tell me you are thinking of giving what Audrey said a chance?”

Ignoring her, Ethan turned to his daughter, who was obviously so excited. “Do you want a baby brother or a sister, Audrey? Your mommy and I can make that happen.”

“Ethan?” Valerie cried out.

Immediately, Audrey rushed to her and held her pinky finger. “Mommy, you don't know how long I've waited and prayed for me to have a mother and a father and then a sibling. Thank you so much for accepting to be with my daddy.”

“Oh, dear! You don't know how lucky I am to have found you. All these years I thought that you were far away from me and that I will never set my eyes on you again. But luckily, fate has a way of doing things.” Valerie patted her hair.

“Daddy, I can't wait to prepare for a wedding. I'm informing all my friends that we have an ultimate party to prepare for.” Audrey rushed upstairs.

Valerie tried to stop her, but she didn't even spare a glance. “Audrey! Audrey!! You are yet to finish your breakfast.”

“I'll eat later, mommy. I just need to tell everyone that I'm getting a complete family soon.” She continued rejoicing.

Taking a deep exhale, Valerie sat on the chair. She couldn't even look at Ethan, probably because of what their daughter had requested. Ethan kissed her forehead, and she raised her brows at him.

“Thank you so much for putting a smile on my daughter's face. I can't remember the last time she smiled so genuinely, except when you got into this house.” President Ethan replied.

She chuckled. “She's my daughter too, Ethan. She's a part of me.”

“Oh my God! This is the best news ever.” Susan shrieked in excitement as Valerie spilled the beans to her.

Valerie nodded her head. “I can't even believe this is happening. In my entire life, I've never imagined that I'll be together with the Davison's heir, talk more of being the mother of his child.”

“Oh, dear Valerie. I'm so happy for you. This is you realizing all your dreams.” Susan hugged her passionately.

Blinking back tears of joy, Valerie sniffed. “Who would have thought that being a surrogate mother will bring me so much fortune? You know how much I wished that I was never a surrogate mother? Now, it seems to be the best thing that has ever happened to me. I was actually a surrogate mother to the daughter of the most powerful man in the country.”

“What a twist. I'm certain that your conniving stepsister and stepmother will be so disappointed. Please keep in mind, I'm always here for you.” Susan replied as they hugged each other passionately.

Evening came, and Valerie was set to go back to Davison's villa. It didn't take long for the driver to arrive at Susan's apartment. They bid each other goodbye as Valerie hopped into the SUV car as it speeded off.

A few minutes later, they arrived at the Davison's estate and headed to the villa. The magnificent gate was thrown open as the car drove into the mansion.

Furthermore, Valerie got down from the car and proceeded into the mansion. The security guards greeted her, and she waved at them before one of them opened the entrance door.

She got into the mansion, and found out that it was dark. She thought.

“What's going on? Why is the house so quiet and dark? Isn't Audrey back from school yet?”

Shrugging it off, she walked to the light switch and turned it on.

“SURPRISE.” The crowd chorused, and that freaked her out.

The sitting room was decorated with ribbons and flowers. A gasp escaped her lips as she read what was written on the wall. “Will you be our mommy?”

She didn't know how exactly to react. Excitement was an understatement of how she felt. Shocked, she clasped her palm on her mouth.

Just then, Ethan walked straight to her with a sparkling diamond ring. He gently went on his knees. Out of the blues, little Audrey walked forward with a banquet of flowers.

“Please, be my mommy.” Audrey mouthed as tears circulated in Valerie's eyes.
