“I understand.” She said nodding her head. She understood now why he had reacted that way. But he could have told her directly instead of showing a changed behavior. She would not have to waste all her energy thinking about what must have happened.

She even went as far as thinking if he was regretting their ‘marriage’. She could not afford losing it now.

He looked at her with surprise. It was the first time she was actually agreeing to something he was saying.

“Grandpa wants us to go to our honeymoon.” He said remembering what James had told him earlier. It had completely left his mind.

She snapped her head at him with shock. When did it all happen?

“What are you talking about? It’s not like this is a real marriage.” She said throwing her hands in the air while talking. She was so tired. She had just been free from the reception and he had to explode a new kind of bomb on her head.

“He does not know that.” He shrugged looking at her with an expression, ‘Do you understand what you are even saying?’

She grabbed her head and started massaging her temple. When she agreed to his offer, she did not know she had to deal with such things.

“What’s the problem? Take it as a vacation. You should be glad we will be away from the prying eyes for some time.” He tried to make her see reason. What he said did make sense. If they were away for a time being, the media and other people would not be able to pry on them. It could also give her some time to gain her strength back.

But she could not leave her mom. She was sick and could need her any moment. How could she leave her alone?

“My mom. I cannot leave her alone. I am the only one she can rely on. She gets sick quite often.” She said and shared about her mom to him for the first time. She just did not like to show the world how troubled she was about things.

“I understand. I will talk to a doctor and let him be on alert 24/7. That way, the slightest sickness would be reported and examined by him. I will alert the nurse as well. You should not worry about her. She will be okay. It is all a matter of a few days. We will be back before you know it.” He said with an assuring voice and expression.

His words did assure her a little, but she was still worried. What if she got really sick suddenly? She would not be able to reach on time. She had to at least know how far they were going. If the destination was too far away, she would have to decline it.

“Where are we going?” She asked hopping he would not think she was too eager to know about the place. He did not seem like he had thought that.

“I really have no idea. He did not tell me. I will ask about it tomorrow.” He said making her nod. She did not say anything else and left for her room. It was not like she could really reject the grandpa’s directions. But she still would refuse to go if it was far away. She at least wanted to reach in LA if something happened to her mom.

She could never really think about losing her. She was just afraid that she would get sick without Olivia being there to take care of her.

She got rid of her dress, wiped off her makeup, and brushed her teeth before hitting the bed. She was so tired that she did not have the energy to take a shower.

‘I will talk to Aunt Mary. She might agree to look after her mom once in a while. That way, she would be relaxed.” She thought before dozing off. It took her no time to reach the dreamland.

Thomas kept awake for some time thinking about what had actually happened. From falling on top of her to having a normal conversation, everything was a surprise. He did not think they two could hold a conversation.

He also did not think just a mere incidence would wake up the hidden desire in him. He was attracted to her from the very first time he laid her eyes on her. She had such a powerful effect on him earlier when she was staring up at him with such cute round and innocent eyes. Her dark eyes coupled with a vulnerable look on her face made him want to do something which he stopped himself from on time. He suddenly remembered what she had told him the previous time when he was about to kiss her.

She was so against intimacy. He could not understand. She was a stripper for God’s sake. The more he tried to understand her, the more he deviated away from knowing her actions and expressions.

She looked sad when she asked him what was wrong. Why was she sad? What was it to her how he behaved? She had made it clear that she did not want anything to do with him. Then why was she caring this much?

He sighed and got up to take a shower. Her soft body and captivating eyes were occupying his mind at that moment. It was so hard to resist. Only he knew how hard he tried not to irk or hurt her again.

But he wanted to know what her reason was for resisting a mere touch. He wanted to know why she was that way when everybody else was so prone to such things and did not consider such things at all. Why did she consider it?

He took a shower and changed into his night suit. It was a long day. He had to ask grandpa about their honeymoon first thing the next day. He could sense how worried Olivia was about leaving her mom alone.

He had never seen someone who cared about a parent this much. She loved her mom a lot.

He turned to his side and closed his eyes.

‘Tomorrow is a new day.’ He thought before dozing off.

“Grandpa.” He greeted as he entered his office. It was early in the morning and it was also the first time he gone to office that early.

“Thomas? Sit.” James asked with a bit of a surprise as he rarely visited him in his office, that too, early in the morning.

“I wanted to ask about what the destination of our honeymoon is.” He asked coming directly to the thing he wanted to ask about.

He smiled hearing him say that.

“It is a surprise.” He said getting busy with his work, indicating that they were done with the conversation. But he was not done.

“At least tell me if it is far away.” He insisted. He knew he would not tell him about the place because it was James Walker on the other end. If he said it was a surprise, it was a surprise.

“Why do you want to know?” He asked curiously this time. He had planned vacations for him before as well when he felt like he was being too much controlling with him or he was being too much pushy. He knew that he should be lenient with him from time to time. So he gave him surprises like that once in a while. He did not have any opposition or question to any of such events. Why was it different when it came to their honeymoon?

“I am worried about work.” He cleared his throat and said after a while. He could not understand what to say.

He narrowed his eyes like he was looking deep inside his soul, “The same work you have been putting off for years!?” He stated as a matter of fact making Thomas avoid looking at him directly. He was so sharp.

“Yeah.” He answered stubbornly. James sighed.

“It is not too far away. Now you can go and prepare for the trip. You two have to leave early in the morning tomorrow.” He dismissed him after giving him a brief answer. He did not need to hear anything else. It was enough for him to know it was close.

He left his office and went to the condo directly to tell her the news. He had gone with a few girls on trips before. He knew what they all were like. They would pack a dozen of suitcases even for a few days. He had to inform her beforehand as she would have things to prepare and pack.

He was so content for some reasons. It was not the first time he was going on a trip. He never got this excited to go on some vacations before. He had spent the most of his times in other countries. Why was he feeling happy then?
