Chapter 31: Chapter 31

Her persistence and self-respect were the two driving forces that made him want to push despite her not giving into his offer for a long time. He thought that she was not a gold-digger like others, so he would be safe.

But the same two traits were now getting on his nerves.

She ignored him like a plague throughout their wedding ceremony. The photographers had to instruct time and again to be close, but she was acting as if his touch would burn her. He had never been treated like that before. He even saw women giving them envious glances at the wedding.

She did not understand who she had gotten married to—albeit, on the papers. He was the most sought out bachelor in LA, but she made him feel like he was someone who should be despised. He could not understand what his fault was.

He sighed as he got into the shower and changed into casual shirt and a sweat pant. It was a long day for him as it was for her. He did not want to get married either. If it was not for his grandfather’s threats, he would have never gotten married at such a young age. He had never thought of getting married before thirty.

“She is young. Maybe, she is just immature” His mind defended her. But he doubted it was the case. He found her to be more mature than girls in their mid-twenties. The way she handled herself after being harassed by that bastard Joe…he thought she would hug Thomas and cry after he saved her just like a damsel in distress, but she did not do either of them. Instead, she went home alone on her own. Unintentionally, her respect increased in his heart despite the fact that he just considered her a stripper and nothing else.

He sighed as he laid down on the bed. Just as he was about to close his eyes, he realized that she was at his place—with him. He quickly opened his eyes.

He was so used to living alone in the condo that he did not realize there was a lady in the house. Even when he spent time with different girls, he did not bring any of them to his place. It was a personal thing for him, and he did not like anyone invading his privacy.

Besides he was so angry that he did not even made her feel comfortable. For a moment, he thought about not going out and punish her, but he shook his head and got up. She would be all alone and would probably still be in the living room.

He opened the door and looked around for her, but she was not in sight. He looked in the kitchen, but she was not there either. The balcony also seemed empty.

“Where the hell did she go?” He scratched his head.

He opened the door to the other room which he had already set up for her. He knew she would not want to live with him in a room, so he arranged everything for her. There were also some outfits hanged for her in the cupboard with other essential items.

The reason why he wanted to be away from the home for a while was that he wanted to keep her away from James. His grandpa could be difficult sometimes. He wanted for her to relax and give time to the new life before she had to live with him. He could not risk getting caught. To be honest, he wanted to develop an understanding with her first since she seemed to dislike him for some reasons.

He went inside the room but there was nothing—no one.

“Did she run away? Oh God, what if that crazy girl ran away after I lashed out on her?” He grabbed his head tightly in his hands. He felt a headache appear. She was so quiet when he lectured her. It did seem quite unusual for her not to argue back, but she did not. So she was planning to leave already!

Exasperated, he tried one last place before planning to look for her elsewhere. He opened the door to the bathroom and his hands froze along his eyes.

She was so busy that she had not even noticed him. The wedding gown was hanged on the rack neatly beside the door and steam had formed inside the bathroom. He saw her humming softly while she was busy washing her body.

The wet hair and smooth back with her delicious behind…everything was making him crazy. And her legs—slim and soft. He was not even aware of the fact that he was holding the door knob tightly and looking at her like a creep.

A little part of her breasts showed as she lifted up her hands to rinse her hair. She had her back towards him, but he was as hard as one could get. The saliva felt dry in his mouth.

He jerked his head as he finally blinked and looked away. It was so hard, but he had to get a grip.

Damn! He felt like a creep. He was ashamed that he had been staring while she was completely unaware. He slowly closed the door while avoiding to take another glance. His whole being was screaming at him to keep looking or get to her or do something crazy, but he held back. He had to hold back.

All the while, he thought of himself as a decent person. Sure he slept around a lot, but that was because every woman he slept with had her consent. While Olivia…she was not like that. He had understood her that much.

“Phew!” He exclaimed as he put his head on the back of the bathroom door. The image just would not leave his mind. He felt like he had done something forbidden. He gave his head a violent shake and left the room.

He had to get away. Otherwise, the scene would keep haunting him. He could not understand if her body was like heaven or hell. It was meant to be worshipped, but it felt so wrong to have such thoughts.

To think that he had not even seen it all—seen her all. His member felt so hard. He went to take another shower—this time, a cold one. He tried to occupy his mind with every nasty thing that would make him forget the image, but none of those helped.

“Fuck!” He exclaimed as he left the condo without even drying his hair. He decided to leave for a workout in the gym down below. Maybe, that would help to take his mind off the thoughts that he should not have.

Olivia’s POV:

She got out of the bathroom and looked around, but there was no one. She felt as if she heard the door being closed, but maybe, she had just imagined it as there was no sight of Thomas or anyone else.

She shrugged and picked out a red shirt and black tights to wear. That was the most comfy clothes she could find, but there were at least clothes there for her. He was always prepared. At first, when he told her that they would be living in his condo for a few days, she did not like the idea, but now, she was glad. She did not know if she had the energy to deal with the grandpa just yet.

She was drying her hair and thinking about the way he talked to her earlier. She was mad. She wanted to leave right then and there, but she knew that she could not. They had made a contract and she had to do her part.

He was so rude. It was her first day, and she was not even aware where to go. But she eventually figured her way out and found a room where her clothes were already inside the wardrobe. She figured it was her room for the time being. He had at least arranged her room for her.

She quickly went to take a shower. Her wedding gown was making her uncomfortable now. She took a long time stripping herself off the gown and placed it on the rack. She could not wait to shower.

The warm water was doing wonders on her aching body. She closed her eyes and started cleaning herself off. She spent a long time inside the shower. She had nothing else to do. She did not want to face Thomas after everything he said to her.

“Huh! As if I am dying to talk to you. It would be my greatest wish if you don’t eat my brains for a while.” She talked to herself. She was annoyed as hell at his implications as if he was the one who was forced into this marriage. She was the one who he had forced into marrying him. He had perhaps forgot how he made her lose her job and apartment and how he kept pestering her, but she did not forget neither would she.

Throughout the ceremony, he was touching her time and again—when the photographer told them to stand close to each other, he stood so close as if they were not a fake couple but a real one. And when he kissed her, he made sure to not let go before she was left breathless. His proximity made her heartbeat increase and weird feelings engulfed her insides.

She had never been truly intimate with anyone before except that one kiss in school. People wanted her to sleep with them and offered her countless times as the job she did meant she wanted to do something like that, but she did not want that. She wanted a quiet and peaceful life with her mom.

She sighed thinking about her mom. She would be alone without her. Although Aunt Mary assured her that she would visit her every day, she was still worried. The nurse would come the next day and would live there with her mom to take care of her. That was what Thomas told her.

“It was because of these things that I have agreed to marry him. Otherwise, why would I do that? A stuck-up person like Thomas did not need anyone in his life. He has his own compulsions, and I have my own.” She thought clicking her tongue and got up to make herself some coffee. She hoped he was out as she had heard the door being clicked a few minutes ago.

She did not want to come face to face with him for the time being.
