Chapter 78: Chapter 78
Andrea's slender figure moved slightly under the duvet, and her eyes flew open only to greet an empty room with no signs of Sean or the kids. She groaned loudly while stretching out her limbs.
"Sean, where did you go so early in the morning?" she muttered under her breath as she fumbled for her phone on the nightstand.
Andrea picked it up and bit her lip hard as memories of last night flashed through her mind. A smile formed on her lips as she stared at her clothes that were littered all over the place.
She stretched out her hand and retrieved her lacy undies from the ground. Seeing it reminded her of how Sean tore it off last night, her face flushed in embarrassment instantly.
Just then, her phone began to ring. She beamed a sweet smile as she picked up. "Hello," she said in a hoarse voice.
"Huh? Are you just waking up, or did I wake you?" she heard that familiar voice she had been yearning to listen to since the moment she woke up.
"I'm just waking up. Where did you disappear so early in the morning?" she demanded with a pout.
"I'm at the gym upstairs. I'll be back in a bit. You should freshen up so we can have breakfast together."
"Uh-huh. I will do just that. And the kids?"
"Oh, don't worry about them. They are safe with Elena. How are you feeling? Sore down there?" he asked nonchalantly.
A bright shade of red crept up her cheeks. "Shut up. Don't you think this is not the right time or place to ask such questions," she said through gritted teeth. She wondered if he wasn't feeling embarrassed like she was at the moment. After she hung up, she went to take a bath and went straight to Elena's lodge.
Elena opened the door, and Andrea gave her a dirty look before making her way into the room. "Hey Peach, how was your night? Hope you slept well," Elena waved at her awkwardly.
Andrea sneered. "Of course, thanks to you, I had a wonderful night with a touch of embarrassment," she replied sarcastically.
"Hey, come on. You should be thanking me. After all, I told you I would fix your marriage. What were you thinking?"
"At least you should have given me a heads up. I still can't believe my best friend spiked my drink," she said, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Let's look on the bright side, everything fell into place like it should, right?" Elena smiled widely.
"Do you know how embarrassed I'm feeling right now to face Sean? Lena, I can't believe I said those dirty words to him last night," she buried her face in her palm.
"Stop overreacting and cheer up. Like I said, look on the bright side, my dear friend. So tell me, is he good in bed?" Elena wrapped her arm around Andrea's shoulder.
Andrea shot her a deadly glare and took Elena's arm from her shoulder. "You better be quiet. You still owe me an apology."
……
Jace ruffled his hair in frustration as he watched the lady stomp out of the room in anger.
He couldn't believe he had acted irrationally last night and stolen the lady's innocence. He had tried to reason with her, but she refused to hear him out.
What could he do other than to watch her walk out of the room in a dejected manner? The words she said to him earlier came to his mind.
"I will pretend this never transpired, and you should also act like it never happened. And then again, I hope we never cross paths in this lifetime."
He scoffed loudly and put on his shirt. He was about to take his leave when he caught sight of a pink wallet lying on the nightstand. Without hesitation, he opened the purse and found a debit card, some few bucks, and lastly, the lady's ID card.
"Jasmine Beth, a nurse at Blue Moon Private Hospital," he read out loud and slowly a smile settled on his face.
While back outside the hotel, Jasmine flagged down a taxi, and immediately she got in, she began to rummage for her wallet inside her bag.
"Oh no, I left it at the hotel. All of my stuff and even my work ID," Jasmine almost burst into tears at the thought of it. She couldn't even think about going there; she had vowed never to go back to that place ever again.
She couldn't believe she had lost her innocence that she had always kept for her future spouse. She was taken aback to the day of the movie premiere when she almost lost her virginity, but she was lucky enough to escape. But clearly, this time around, luck doesn't seem to be on her side.
"Mom is going to kill me if she finds out," she quickly discarded the thoughts of telling her mother. Moreover, what would she benefit other than her never-ending scolding? It's not as if telling her mother will bring back her innocence either.
In an elegantly-decorated restaurant
Sean couldn't stop putting food onto Andrea's plate, making Elena feel jealous and left out. She kept clearing her throat, trying to gain Ryan's attention, which was to no avail as he didn't bother to avert his gaze from his phone.
"Would you guys quit it already? Did you call us out for dinner just so you could display your PDA?"
Andrea pouted cutely at Sean before turning back to her friend. "What can I say Lena? Sean has been going to no limits to spoil me. Who am I to say no? After all, he is the one in charge."
"Oh right! Since when? You told me last night that you are the boss, and Mr. Wilson is under your control and does whatever you say." Elena chuckled sarcastically.
Sean's pupils dilated as he faced his lovely wife. "Is that so? You told your friend that you are the one in charge?" he demanded with a hint of surprise. "But I guess you forgot to be in charge in bed last night," he added.
Andrea gulped hard and chuckled nervously, her face red like a tomato. "I was only kidding with Elena, who knew she would take it seriously," she said, signalling Elena to be quiet.
The intimidating aura emitting from Sean could not be ignored. All she could do was pray that Elena would seal her lips.
Sean smirked mischievously at her, and Andrea felt her heart beating even faster. She knew that look quite well, and she couldn't help but wonder what he had in mind.
"Hey, what have you been so busy with that you didn't even touch your food?" Elena leaned in trying to get a glimpse of what he was doing.
Ryan became alarmed immediately and quickly put his phone into his pocket. "I was just chatting with a friend, that's all."
"Oh, a friend? A male or a female?" she narrowed her eyes, staring at him suspiciously.
Andrea burst out laughing. "Stop acting like a possessive girlfriend, or I'm afraid Ryan might run away."
"He dares not," she retorted.
Sean smiled and added more food onto her plate. Andrea pushed it aside. "No thank you. I'm so full already," she rubbed her tummy as a loud sigh escaped her lips.
"How about we go for a walk before they are done with their dinner?" Sean suggested.
Andrea looked at Elena, who nodded with a smile. "Sure, you can go. I will watch the twins. I'm sure you two don't want any company, right?" she grinned at this.
"Shall we?" Sean extended his palm to her, which she placed hers on. She rose to her feet, and they both left the restaurant.
As they strolled hand in hand through the streets of Paris, they couldn't help but feel free and fulfilled. This was their first public appearance together, and even though they were in a foreign country, they were still overwhelmed with joy.
"Are you sure you aren't feeling sore down there? You know you shouldn't hide anything from me."
"You won't let go of this topic, would you?" she thought to herself inwardly. She glanced at his side profile before saying, "Just a little. I'm sure I will be fine by tomorrow," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Okay, if you say so, but you…"
Seeing he wouldn't let go of the topic so easily, her gaze wandered around, and luckily she found an ice cream truck on the other side of the road. "Ice cream!" she exclaimed.
Andrea quickly pulled him by the arm, and they both went over to the ice cream truck. "Two ice cream cones," she ordered.
She was handed a vanilla and chocolate flavoured ice cream, she stared at both, wondering which to give him. Just then, Sean grabbed the chocolate flavour from her, leaving her with the vanilla. "Let's go," he held her hand.
Andrea pouted her lip sadly as she licked her ice cream while staring at the ice cream cone in his hand.
"Jerk!"
"Huh? What did you say?"
"I said I'm tasty," she lied, hoping to divert the conversation away from what she had actually said.
Sean lifted her chin and made her face him. He brought his lips closer to her face and licked the ice cream from her lips.
"Sean!" she mumbled in a low tone and stepped back a little. Her gaze wandered around, hoping no one around saw what had just happened.
"What? You had ice cream on your lips."
"Why didn't you wipe it off? I mean with your hand or a hanky."
"Because you are my wife, and I can do whatever I please. Look, there is a convenience store open here. Didn't you say you were tasty?" He held her hand and led her in.
Andrea paused in her tracks and Sean, who noticed this, turned back to look at her " what is it?" he arched his eyebrows at her.
She suddenly gave him a bright smile before snatching the ice cream cone in his hand. " It's nothing. I'm just taking back what belongs to me" she licked his ice cream with a satisfied look on her face.
Sean let out a chuckle " you are so cute " he couldn't resist the urge to pull her cheeks.
"Wait here; let me grab you a bottle of water," he said to her gently with an affectionate look.
Andrea nodded, and before Sean could make a move, she went straight to the snacks area, leaving him stunned. Sean couldn't help but shake his head in disbelief. Here he was telling her one thing while she was doing the exact opposite.
"Wow! There are so many varieties of snacks. Which do I go with? I will grab the spicy ones for Lena and chocolate chip cookies for myself," her eyes twinkled with excitement as she grabbed each.
She brought out her phone from her pocket and sent a text to Sean. "Darling, grab me two cans of cola from the fridge, pretty please."
Sean read her message and couldn't help but chuckle softly. "She's too adorable," he murmured.
As she was walking back to the counter to meet up with Sean, she saw a familiar face, and her steps abruptly came to a halt. She stood frozen to the ground, and her eyes instantly turned misty with tears. "Mom!" she whispered.
