Chapter 45: You are such a devil!

Sean looked at himself in the dressing mirror before walking out of his room. He made his way to the living room, and his steps came to a halt as his gaze went back to Drew.

" What are you still doing here? " he pursed his lips in annoyance.

Drew itched his scalp as his gaze flickered, and without waiting for Sean's orders, he scurried away immediately.

Sean smoothed down his shirt; his smile vanished before he uphend the doorknob. "Come in," he said, making way for her, only for Andrea to scoff loudly.

" So you will try to make a move on me like you did the last time," she said brazenly, leaving him completely speechless.

" Look, I'm not here to exchange pleasantries. I'm here to talk business with you. You really showed me this time that you are no different from other rich people who love to exercise their power and influence on the weak. But is there really a need to make Elena lose her job? What do you actually want from me? I can't bear to watch Elena like this anymore."

Sean stared at the lady incredulously as her lips kept moving with no breaks.

" What are you talking about? " He couldn't help but cut her words short.

Andrea chuckled sarcastically. " Really? Is there a need to pretend when I have seen it all? Mr Wilson I promise to be considerate with your request this time around, but you need to undo what you did first,"

Sean had no idea of what she was yarning about, but after hearing her words, he didn't mind taking the blame or looking like the bad guy.

He decided to play along. " Really? If you want to speak to me, you have no other choice but to come in. It's chilly out here; I'm afraid you will fall sick and not be able to take care of our kids," he said, crossing his arm over his chest.

" Our kids! " she huffed as she made her way into the house.

Sean smirked slightly as he trailed behind her. They got to his living room, and he gestured for her to take a seat, but she instantly declined.

" I have heard your request, and I will make sure your friend gets her job back, but in return……" he paused as he moved nearer to her. The aura emitting from him felt intimidating to her for the very first time, and she involuntarily moved backwards till her back was in contact with the wall. The next thing, Sean grabbed her waist roughly, making her let out a low shriek.

This time around, her bosom was pressing hard on his chest. A frown crept on her face as she tried to break  herself free from his grip, but it was to no avail as he was holding onto her even tighter.

Andrea raised her head, and Sean bore into her emerald eyes " What are you doing? Let me go! " she said through gritted teeth.

Sean let out a soft chuckle. " Didn't you ask me to get Elena's job back for her? The only way that will happen is if you are willing to be my mistress."

Andrea's jaw slackened immediately after those words escaped from his lips.

Sean ignored the stunned look on her face as he spread his hands wide open. " That's it, Andrea. If you agree to be my mistress, I will call the hospital and ask them to give Elena her job back."

Andrea gasped " You are such a devil! How can you be so cruel to the mother of your kids? "

Oh, so they are my kids now? I thought you asked me to stay away from them? " He said it mockingly.

Andrea bit her lip as she thought for a while before meeting his gaze again. " I agree to it," she said above a whisper. Instantly,  those words came out of her mouth, and she felt her cheeks heating up.

" Agree to what? If you don't elaborate, how do you expect me to understand? " he asked innocently.

Andrea tightened her fists and lowered her gaze to the ground before muttering, " I agree to become your mistress."

" Great! It is done already. I will call the hospital tonight, and I assure you that first thing tomorrow, Elena will be called back to work by the director himself."

Andrea nodded and remained fixated in one position. Sean noticed this and looked at her again.

" Oh! You want to spend the night here? You are really passionate about your new job, aren't you? " He smiled and got up, walking towards her.

Andrea hastily shook her head. She quickened her steps out of his place. On her way to the door, her legs trembled, and she lost her balance and fell on her face.

The sound echoed in the living room, and Sean couldn't help but yell, Watch your steps, or do you want me to carry you in my arms? My bed is very cozy and accommodating."

A mischievous smile appeared on his lips.

Andrea huffed angrily as she got back on her feet. " Crazy pervert! From your ex-employee to your mistress, isn't that a tremendous promotion? she murmured.

She kept murmuring until she got into her room.  " I'm the one who went over to his place for negotiation. Why does it feel like it's the other way around? Goodness! I can't believe I was cheated. I always thought I was cunning, but not until I met the king of slyness himself," she said, blowing out her cheeks.

" I'm just happy that I can do something for Elena at least. She has been by my side during my darkest days," she smiled faintly.

The following morning, A shrill scream jolted Andrea from her slumber. She sprang out of her bed and rubbed her eyes groggily as she sluggishly followed the direction the sound was coming from, which led her to Elena's room.

Lena, it is so early in the morning. Why did you have to scream so loudly, huh? " she said as she pouted her lips.

" Andrea, I got my job back," she announced excitedly as she grabbed her by the shoulder and spun them around.

Andrea smiled brightly. Congratulations, Elena. I knew all along that something wasn't right," she lied as she lowered her gaze slightly.

" Right? This morning I just got a call from the director, and he told me to come to work, although he didn't mention why I was suddenly rehired, but who cares? " She grinned as she slumped herself on the bed happily.

Andrea stared at her for a while as a smile settled on her lips. She was overjoyed to see Elena's spirit was high today after breaking up with Ryan.

" You should get ready for work quickly. You deserve it, and you are the best," Andrea said, giving her a gummy smile as she gestured with a thumbs up.

" You are right! I should get ready quickly before he changes his mind," she burst into laughter as she rushed into the bathroom.

After Elena freshened up and came downstairs, she found Andrea making breakfast with Jasmine in the kitchen.

"Here,"  Andrea said, handing her a bowl of porridge.

Elena ate a few spoonfuls before she got up and headed out the door. Andrea knew she must be excited about getting her job back. She followed her all the way to the parking lot and waved goodbye.

Immediately she got off the elevator, and her gaze traveled to Sean's apartment. She didn't want to meet him after what happened the previous night, so she decided to quickly rush into the house before he sees her.

Just as she was about to quicken her steps, she heard a deep, magnetic voice from behind her.

" I keep up to my promise," he said, and without turning around, she could hear the sound of his footsteps approaching her.
