Chapter 37: What are the babies gender?

Sean felt a weight pressing him down. He turned his head and found Carmen sleeping next to him, her head on his chest.

Sean gritted his teeth in anger and tapped her furiously. "Carmen! Wake up!"

Carmen made gurgling sounds before opening her eyes. "Sean!" she called out to him in a muffled tone.

"How dare you get on my bed! Haven't we talked about this?" Sean glared at her.

Carmen swallowed hard as tears shone in her eyes. "Sean, last night you..." she paused and began to whimper.

Sean's expression closed up immediately. "What happened last night?" At this point, he glanced at his bare chest and noticed he wasn't wearing anything underneath the duvet.

His heart began to accelerate, hoping it wasn't what he was thinking. "Speak up!" he yelled impatiently.

"Sean, last... last night you came back to the room drunk, and I helped you to your bed, and then you pounced on me. I tried to fight my way, but I couldn't match up to you," she palmed her mouth as she burst into tears.

Sean's expression turned dark. He rubbed his temples as he felt his body heating up. He glanced at Carmen for a while. "I'm really sorry, Carmen. I must have lost control of myself."

Carmen sniffled and wiped her tears. "I don't want you to feel bad about it. It's okay," she said in a wavering voice.

She picked up the towel from the ground and wrapped it around herself. She winced in pain as she got up from the bed and headed into the bathroom.

After he couldn't hear her footsteps, Sean turned around and glanced at the stain on the white sheet. He pursed his lips. "I took her first time," he thought as he felt his heart

he thought as he felt his heart sink deeper.

His ringing phone jolted him out of his reflection. He picked up the call instantly ” Tell me! ”

” Sir I just found out Ms. Andrea has put to bed,” A masculine voice was heard from the other end of the line.

Sean's expression was obscure ” What are the babies gender? “

” The Female gender, Sir,”

Sean remained silent for a long while and one could see the joy and sorrow in his eyes ” mmm” he mumbled before hanging up the phone.

Hours later they got ready and flew back to America. Sean asked Drew to send his chauffeur to pick them up at the airport. Throughout all this, they didn't engage in a conversation.

On their way back home, Carmen suddenly held his hand ” Sean you don't need to feel guilty and I won't force you to be responsible for me even though it was my first time,” she smiled faintly.

Sean didn't say a word throughout their ride to the Crescent Wood Mansion. They met Carmen's parents with his parents discussing in the living room.

” Look who's back,” Mrs Wallner tittered.

” I missed you so much Aunt,” Carmen hugged Mrs Wilson tightly.

” I missed you more my dear,” she chuckled as she returned the gesture.

Sean rolled his eyes and plopped himself down on the sofa ” Dad it's all settled. Here are the papers and I have something to announce,”

” What is that son? ” Mr Wilson asked as everyone stared at Sean curiously.

Sean cleared his throat slightly ” I have decided to get married to Carmen,”

” What! '' Mrs Wilson yelled surprisingly.

Carmen smiled brightly as she exchanged glances with her mother. She quickly concealed her smile and put on a shocked look on her face ” Sean,are you really sure about this?” she said in a pitiful tone.

” If I wasn't serious I won't be saying this,” Sean sounded a little peeved.

” Wow! This is good news son. This calls for celebration. I think we shouldn't waste anymore time, let's fix a date for the engagement party,” Mrs Wilson beamed sweetly.

” Yes you all can do that once you have picked a date just let me know. I need to go to the company now,” he got up and strode out and Carmen quickly rushed after him.

” Sean, thank you for this privilege. I promise to be a good and obedient wife to you,” she smiled and wrapped her hand around his chest.

Sean felt quite irritated by her touch and he quickly broke the hug and got into his car. She waved at the car as it drove out of the mansion.

” Thank you Sean. I knew you were going to be mine at the end. I'm your destined life partner after all,” she giggled as she went back into the house with smiles on her face.

Sean got into the premises and Drew stared at him in surprise before following him to his office. Immediately they got there Drew couldn't help but say what was going on in his mind.

” Boss, I thought you were going to Australia? I got prepared and I was about to leave when you called me to send the driver over. Is everything okay? ”

” Yes everything is fine. We are not going to Australia any longer. Now I need some alone time to myself,” Sean said nonchalantly.

Drew nodded and walked out of the office, closing the door behind him. Not so long Sonny dashed right in with a smile.

” Sean what will it take you to smile for a bit huh? Were you told you will lose some teeth if you smile?” Sonny teased as he took a seat opposite him.

” I'm not in for your banters today. I just need alone time to myself if you don't mind,” He rubbed the areas between his brows in a slightly tensed manner.

” Well I'm just here to congratulate you. I heard you have found love and you are getting married to none other than our Ms. Carmen Wallner, New York's one and only Belle,”

Sean raised his head from the table this time around he threw daggers at Sonny ” Did you come here to ease my pain or rub salt on my wound?” he said furiously.

” Of course you know I won't do such a thing to you even though you are always grumpy,”

” Look, I feel so stressed right now. The issue at hand is getting bigger than my strength can take. On one hand Andrea gave birth yesterday and last night I unintentionally spend the night with Carmen,”

” Dude, and so? Is that why you all of a sudden agree to the marriage? You must be kidding me. You are only getting married to Carmen out of guilt whereby you feel something for Andrea who had two kids for you. Is not fair dude,” Sonny scoffed loudly.

” Listen, you know I always man up to my mistakes. Do you know Carmen is a virgin and I took it from her? I feel i have to be responsible for her from now,”

” Woo, that's like the biggest joke of the year. I bet she's not a virgin, that bitch has a lot of tricks up her sleeves. Don't tell me you are falling for her trap,”

Sean rolled his eyes ” I wouldn't be saying that if I didn't confirm it myself. Well… she looks like she's not but she's truly a virgin,”

” You should thoroughly think this through. It's really a big decision that will have an impact in your life forever. Are you staying true to yourself and Andrea? Are you sure you don't want to be a part of their life and watch your kids grow up? Do you really want to get stuck with Carmen for the rest of your life? ” Sonny bombarded him with questions.

A sigh escaped from Sean's mouth ” I guess you are right. I should give myself some time to think it through,”
