Chapter 30: Did you invite someone else?

” What are you doing here? What am I even saying? I mean get out,” Sean said unceremoniously.

Carmen bit her lip as she approached him slowly ” Sean why are you so cold towards me? What did I do wrong? Aunty has already planned our engagement party and I'm going to be your wife,” she whimpered softly

Sonny burst into laughter with his gaze still on his phone, he felt a piercing gaze from behind and he swiftly turned around only to find Sean glaring at him with daggers

” Okay I will take my leave now,” He quickly slipped away. He didn't want to get into Sean and Carmen's saga.

” I don't know what nonsense you are talking about but just get one thing straight today. I Sean Wilson will not get married to you” he said in a domineering voice.

” Please just stop it, you don't even care about how I'm feeling right now. I'm helplessly in love with you Sean. I'm begging you to give me a chance to prove it to you,” she said in between her tears.

” Carmen, don't let me call my guards to take you out,” he spat out furiously.

” Yes Sean, call anyone you want, even if you decide to call the police, I won't leave from here until you give me a chance,” she said as she sat on his couch with her hand folded to her chest.

” You think proven stubborn will help you achieve your goals. Nice, very nice,” he picked up his keys and stride out of his office.

She quickly rushed after him ” Sean! Sean! What are you doing? ” Terror crossed her face immediately.

Sean chuckled codly ” What do you mean? You said you won't leave and I need to lock my office now. I guess you would like to feel how it is to be locked up in an office with no food and water. Survival of fitness, right?”

She quickly shook her head ” No. I want to come with you,”

Sean rubbed the area between his brows ” Carmen I will say this for the very last time. Get out! ” he roared angrily.

She flinched slightly ” Okay I will go now but I will surely come back,” Carmen felt intimidated by the way he was glaring at her.

WESTWELL ESTATE

” What is taking Lisa so long? ” Lachlan said through gritted teeth after what happened to the company, he had been getting infuriated over the slightest things.

” I'm here,” they heard a voice and they all turned to the door. Their expressions changed as they glanced at Lisa. She was looking completely dishevelled and woeful.

” Oh my goodness! ” Naomi couldn't help but yell as she palmed her mouth. She had never seen her sister who had a great fashion sense look this way before in her life.

” My poor child! What happened to you? Where is Theodore?” Rosette asked still in a petrified state.

Lisa dropped her bag on the ground ” I left him at home,” she said with a cracked voice.

They were all dumbfounded to the point they forgot the reason for the meeting for a while.

” You left him with Philip? Are you sure he can handle the kid alone?” Rosette asked slightly worried.

Lisa shook her head ” I left Theodore at home alone,”

Rosette jaw dropped slightly ” you did what? Are you crazy Lisa? How could you leave an infant all alone,” she raised her voice as if about to bring down the roof.

” Mom, just look at me. I'm going through alot right now. Ever since Philip heard that the company is about to crumble down he got our divorce papers ready. He threatened me last night to sign the papers and I had refused and the next he hit me hard on the face. All my hard work is all ruined Mom. We need to save the company at all cost because my marriage is at stake now,” she huddled herself at a corner as more tears came streaming down her cheeks.

Lachlan's expression hardened ” I won't spare that ungrateful rascal, how dare he raise his filthy hands on you,” He roared angrily.

” Honey, calm down. This is not the time to vent out your anger. We need to save our daughter's marriage,” Rosette reminded him as a deep line settled on her forehead.

” Now what do we do? ” Naomi inquired confusedly.

Lachlan sat down on the bed rubbing his temples,he heaved a sigh of restlessness ” There's only one solution,” he said after some while.

Lisa wiped her tears quickly and their gaze returned to him ” What is it Dad? I will do anything to keep Philip,”

” As you all know the company's downfall isn't natural it was all done by the owner of Shimmers company which is Andrea's boss. Lisa I guess this is all my fault If I didn't frame Andrea and put Mr Wilson's company's name at stake he wouldn't have come back for me in this manner. I have come to conclusion that we should all go to Andrea and beg her for forgiveness. Only Andrea can get us out of this problem after all Mr Wilson will surely listen to her,” He said and their expressions closed up.

” I'm out of this,” Naomi said immediately as she crossed her arm over her chest.

Rosette chuckled sarcastically ” You want us to go beg that riffraff? Who the hell does she think she is? ”

Lisa sneered as she titled her head ” Andrea, Andrea, Andrea. I am so sick and tired of that name. I mean what does everyone see in Andrea? Is she God or what? '' Lisa threw the vase by the bedside table angrily.

” I'm equally not happy about this but what choice do we have? All the companies I went to and asked for a loan refused to help me because no one wanted to get into Mr Wilson's black list. The company won't even last for a week. It's left for us to decide its fate now,” Lachlan said in a crisp voice.

The room fell silent as they all stared at each other with grave expressions on their faces.

SOUTHSONG STREET, AUSTRALIA

” What do you think about the cake? ” Elena smiled as she placed the chocolate cake on the coffee table.

” Awwww it's so beautiful but why did you add my age to the cake, Andrea pouted cutely.

Elena chuckled delightfully ” Aren't you proud of your age? You are just 24 years old, stop acting like an old lady,”

” ding dong! '' They heard the sound of a doorbell.

” Yay! Ryan must be here,” Elena quickly took off her messy apron before going to open the door.

” Babe I'm sorry I hope I'm not too late,” he kissed her lips and Andrea rolled her eyes.

” I still get to swallow their PDA even on my birthday isn't this amazing,” she muttered under her breath.

” Of course I'm mad at you, we will talk about that later. Come in, ” she let him into the house.

” Happy Birthday Andrea,” Ryan smiled as he handed her two gifts.

” The one on my right left is from My baby and the other from me,” Ryan said and Elena gigled sweetly.

Andrea let out a loud sigh ” Thank you for the gifts. Can you both even spare me on my birthday? ”

” Sure we can spare her on her special day right? ” Elena said with a grin and Ryan nodded.

” ding dong! ” they heard the doorbell again.

Andrea looked at Elena with a puzzled look.” Did you invite someone else? ” she asked curiously.
