Chapter 113: Chapter 113
The makeup artist had just finished touching up Alicia's makeup when Andrea entered the room, wearing a maroon-colored cocktail maxi dress. Her hair was styled in a pleated bun with two strands hanging on both sides of her face.
"You look so gorgeous, Alicia," Andrea exclaimed. "There's this special glow on your face that reminds me of when I was pregnant with the girls. Don't tell me you're pregnant!" Andrea suddenly shouted as she examined Alicia from head to toe.
"Of course not," Alicia quickly denied. "Do I look like the kind of girl who would get pregnant before her marriage? You know my career always comes first." Alicia snorted as she looked at her reflection in the mirror while adjusting herself.
"I'm sorry for not coming on time. You know it isn't easy getting three kids ready for a wedding ceremony," Andrea said in a pitiful tone, causing Alicia to burst into laughter. "Three kids? When did Mr. Wilson turn into a baby?"
"Since the day he started competing with the twins for my attention," Andrea replied as she helped Alicia put on the necklace she had gifted her for the wedding.
A knock was heard at the door, and it burst open to reveal Mrs. Black, Alicia's mother, who smiled warmly as she walked over to Alicia and embraced her.
"I'll go check up on Sean and the girls." Andrea quietly excused herself from the room.
Mrs. Black gently placed her palm on her daughter's cheek. "Licia, you look extremely pretty in your wedding dress. Look at that glow on your face. Just like your father and I had always imagined. If only he were here with us today, he would have gotten emotional like me." She said it, struggling with her words.
"Mom, please don't cry, or you will make me emotional too." Alicia wiped away her mother's tears while laughing at her.
"You are right, dear. It's a joyous occasion today. My precious daughter is finally getting married. Are you all set?" Mrs. Black asked.
Alicia nodded her head. "I'm set. I just need to attach my veil to my dress. I should call Andrea to help me with it." She said, picking up her phone on the bed.
"You don't need to bother her. I will do it for you as soon as I use the restroom," Mrs. Black said, walking into the bathroom in the room. As soon as Mrs. Black went into the bathroom, the door swung open, revealing Sonny, dressed in a black suit and a red-colored bow tie.
Sonny took big strides towards Alicia and wrapped his arms around her firmly. "Babe, you look sexy as always," he said, preparing to kiss her on the lips.
Alicia quickly turned her face away from him, halting his movement. "What are you doing here? We are not supposed to see each other yet!"
"Baby, are you still mad at me? I have been apologizing, and I will keep on apologizing to you until you forgive me. It's all my fault that I didn't get a condom and couldn't control the urge to cum inside of you."
Alicia added while smiling sarcastically at him, "And now, thanks to you, we are expecting a baby." She then said, "Leave before mom comes out of the bathroom."
"Huh? Mom is inside the bathroom." Sonny repeated, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Get out!" Alicia kindly reminded him as she watched him rooted to the ground, staring at her with a dumbfounded expression. "Baby, you are pregnant? Why didn't you tell me?" Sonny was unaware that Alicia was pregnant; he had thought she was ignoring him because he had cummed inside of her during their intimate moments.
"We need to talk about this later." Immediately, Sonny turned around to slip away. They heard Mrs. Black's voice from behind: "Alicia, are you really pregnant?" Her gaze fell on Alicia's stomach.
Alicia nodded, feeling embarrassed, as she knew her mother had overheard their conversation. "That's great news! Congratulations to us! I'm finally becoming a grandmother," Mrs. Black exclaimed excitedly and pulled them in for a hug.
...
"Sonny Lucian, do you take Alicia Black for your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better and for worse, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?" The priest asked.
"Yes, I do," Sonny nodded hastily, which earned laughter from all the guests present.
"Alicia Black, do you take Sonny Lucian for your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better and for worse, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?"
"Of course, I do," Alicia replied with a smile, looking at Sonny in front of her.
"I now pronounce you man and wife," the priest declared. Before she could react, Sonny grabbed her waist and locked his lips with hers.
The crowd went wild, cheering and clapping for the newlywed couple on stage, who were caught up in the moment, clearly unfazed by their surroundings. As the evening progressed peacefully, everyone took pictures and presented their gifts to the couple. The MC told some laughable jokes and even made the couple entertain everyone by making them dance and play games.
"Hello Andrea!"
Andrea was wiping Ruby's hand with a napkin when the familiar voice of Philip caught her attention, making her turn around swiftly. "It's been a while, Andrea," Lisa, who was standing next to Philip with their son in her arms, said with a gentle smile.
"Hey guys!" Andrea replied in a slightly confused tone. She hadn't expected them to get back together or attend the wedding ceremony, even though she knew Philip and Alicia were also good friends.
"Actually, Lisa and I decided to get back together for the sake of our son, and hopefully, things might work out for us this time." Philip explained, his eyes conveying affection towards Andrea.
"That's great news. I'm very happy for you guys," Andrea replied genuinely, beaming a smile.
"Andrea, I am extremely sorry about everything I did to you in the past. You can believe me when I say I'm a different person now. I want you to find it in your heart to forgive me," Lisa said, with tears welling up in her eyes.
"It's fine, Lisa. I forgave you a long time ago. If Philip and you hadn't betrayed me, I wouldn't have found the love of my life, so I should be the one thanking you for helping me find my better half," Andrea said nonchalantly.
Earlier, Philip felt quite glad at the absence of Sean, as he had been feeling reluctant and heavy just at the thought of seeing Sean and Andrea together. However, seeing her alone made him feel relieved.
"Thank you. I'll leave you two to discuss," Lisa said thoughtfully and walked away with their son.
Just as Philip was about to speak up, Sean appeared from behind Andrea and planted a kiss on her cheek. "Baby, Sonny, and Alicia are looking for you."
"Dada!" Ruby yelled out in excitement and stretched out her arms for him to pick her up.
"Yes, angel" Sean picked up Ruby and wrapped his arms around Andrea's waist as they walked towards Sonny and Alicia, who were taking photos without bothering to acknowledge Philip's presence.
"There you are!" Alicia said so happily and pulled Andrea to stand beside her while Sonny stood beside Sean as the photographer took photos of them.
"Mr. Wilson, I feel honored that you made it to our wedding. This doesn't mean I won't ask you for my wedding gift," Alicia joked.
"Thank goodness I came prepared," Sean replied, bringing out an envelope from his pocket and handing it to her. Alicia took out the contents, and they were two tickets to the Maldives.
"What other gift could make the best wedding gift like going on a honeymoon with your partner, isn't it?" Sean questioned nonchalantly.
"Indeed, Mr. Wilson. Thank you for this amazing gift." Alicia truly expressed her gratitude towards him. "Don't forget to make babies," Andrea chimed in, sticking out her tongue at them cutely.
Sonny and Alicia shared glances as they chuckled nervously at Andrea's joke. "Actually, we are expecting a baby," Alicia announced hesitantly while fiddling with her fingers nervously.
"Whoa! That's huge! Congratulations, you guys!" Andrea exclaimed happily and pulled Alicia for a hug. "Trust me, you'll love it being a mother. I'm always here if you need me," she added.
"Sean, I want to speak to you for a moment," Sonny said. They both walked toward a quiet place to discuss.
Sonny's expression turned to an uneasy one as he began, "You know, all my life, I've never taken anything seriously, and especially my dad—you know, he has always underestimated my capabilities. Sean, I want to prove him wrong. I want to show him I can be an ideal son, and for me to be able to do that, I want to start up my own business, which means I won't be able to work at Shimmers Company anymore," he explained.
His words made Sean at a loss for words; he managed to compose himself, saying, "Sonny, I can't believe this is coming out of you. I'm very proud of you right now. If you ever need my help, never hesitate to reach out to me, okay? I wish you all the best," Sean replied.
"Thank you, Sean. You have been a good friend anybody could ask for," Sonny said, and he abruptly hugged him, catching Sean off guard. At first, when Sean had remained silient, it almost gave him a heart attack, thinking this might cause a huge rift between them after all, they had been maintaining their friendship for decades.
At this moment, Sonny realized their friendship meant so much more to him than he ever imagined.
Sean felt overjoyed that Sonny had finally decided to man up to his responsibilities and settle down with Alicia and their unborn child.

On their way back home, Pearl and Ruby fell asleep exhaustedly in the back seat. Sean spared a quick glance at Andrea before returning his gaze back to the road. Her cheeks were tinted a shade of pink, creating a smirk on his lips. Earlier, she had accompanied him to drink.
"Andrea, are you drunk?" Sean asked as he got a hold of her hand, caressing it gently.
"Why did you call me Andrea? What happened to 'my love' or 'baby'? Don't call me Andrea anymore," she responded sternly, with a sad pout on her lips.
"As you say, Mrs. Wilson, I see Philip still has feelings for you, despite getting back with Lisa Graham," Sean replied.
"Sean, why don't you and Jacob get along? There must surely be something that triggered the hatred between you two, right?" Andrea said, relaxing her palm on her cheek boredly.
Reminiscing about the past alone made Sean stiffen slightly. Suddenly, he slammed on the brakes, causing the car to screech to a halt.
