“ Vanessa, The Boss is here” Vanessa came out of her room with a swollen eyes. She has been crying for three days non stop. “ What do you want?” She asked him and he Stepped forward. “ No stay there, Don’t move a step closer” She said to him and Alfred Stopped. “ Vanessa, I know what you are going through right now. Please, forgive me, Forgive my family for what we did to you” Alfred apologized. “ Tell me, what did my mum did to them?” She asked and Alfred Shook his head. “ I’m Sorry Vanessa” He Apologized. “ Just tell me”
“ My Uncles said they found your mum trying to run into a moving truck. They saved her and she told them she wanted to kill herself because she was tired of this world, she said the man that promised to marry her ran away after you were born. She was hopeless, Her parents had Disowned her and that was when they used her against my Parents” He explained sadly. “ Wait, if I understand you correctly. You mean your Uncles staged your parents Accident using my Mum. Like they pushed her on the way and while they were trying to Avoid hitting her, They had an Accident and died?” She asked and Alfred nodded his head.
“ Yes” He said. “ Oh God. My Mum was just like me, She had me when she was wasn’t married and her parents sent her out of the house just like my Dad did to me” She Tried to hold back her tears but couldn’t. “ The difference is I didn’t run away from you and I will never run away” Alfred said and she Sniffed. “ I can’t be together with you, Your family betrayed me” She cried. “ And me too, They betrayed me and Jonah too. They betrayed Grandma. She only have us now, She disowned her Three children all at once. Please I’m begging for me, I can’t leave without you Vanessa” Alfred went on his knees.
“ Please Derek, help me plead with her I can’t live without her” Alfred said to Derek in tears. “ Vanessa…” She interrupted Derek. “ Don’t say anything, nothing will change” She said In tears. “ Please Vanessa, please. Accept me and I’ll do whatever you want me to do. Accept me for Mara’s sake, I love you both, I can’t live without you two” He pleaded. Mara Came out of the room, she has just woke up from her nap and she met that scene. “ Daddy!” Mara ran to him and Jumped on him. “ Baby” He Hugged her tightly. “ Daddy is here. Mummy, You brought Daddy” Mara said happily. “ But why is Daddy crying?” Mara looked at Vanessa.
“ Mummy, why are you crying?” she asked Vanessa too. “ Mara, please tell Mummy not to leave Daddy” Alfred said and Mara Looked at Derek. “ Uncle Derek, what is happening? Didn’t Mummy tell Daddy anything?” She asked. “ No” Derek said and she turned to Vanessa. “ But you were so happy that day, you didn’t even listened to what Uncle Derek was saying to you” Mara said Confusingly. “ Baby, What is that? What did Mummy want to tell me?” Alfred asked. “ Mara, Come here” Vanessa said but Mara didn’t move.
“ She was so happy that day, she even bought a set of clothe to wear that day. She said she was going to confess to you that she loves you too. Didn’t she see you?” Mara asked. Alfred was Shocked, he stood upright and moved closer to Vanessa who was sobbing. “ I saw her, She followed me where I was when she didn’t find me at home. She looked so pretty That day, I didn’t know all that was because of me and I ruined it.” He lifted up her chin “ I’m Sorry Vanessa, I regret telling you that day. I would have waited for you to say what you wanted to say” He said in tears.
“ Alfred” She called his name and burst in to fresh tears. “ I love you Vanessa, Please tell me you love me” “ Come on Mara, let’s go” Derek Carried Mara and they left the house. “ Alfred” She called again. “ Please tell me, I want to hear you say it. Please tell me the way you would have say it that day” He pleaded. “ I…I…I love you Alfred, I want to spend the rest of my life with you” “ I love you too Vanessa, thank you so much for coming in to my life. I’ve always been happy ever since I found you, I don’t go out of the city again since I met you. I love you so much” He hugged her so tight like he won’t let her go.

Back in the hospital, Grandma was still on oxygen. The Doctor said she was getting weak and might give up the ghost anytime soon but she argued with them. She told them she was alright and wanted to go home but they wouldn’t discharge her.
“ Alfred, go tell them to discharge me or I will cause a commotion in this hospital. No, tell them we won’t partner with them again if they don’t discharge me” She said. Alfred sighed, he shook his head and sat on the bed. “ Grandma, Stop being a baby. You’ll be discharged when you are strong, You just have to take a rest here because if you go home now, You won’t allow anyone to hear word again” Alfred said and she Chuckled. “ Okay, just Tell me you are tired of me so that I would go meet my husband up there” she said pointing to the ceiling.
“ Grandma, you can’t go now” He said laughing. “ I Know, I was just teasing. I don’t want to leave now either, I want to see you get married” She rubbed his cheeks.
