Chapter 19: Chapter 19
Shane's POV
"Fucking hell, how much did I drink last night?" I questioned myself. I rubbed my eyes and tried to stand up, only to be pushed back down by Kaelyn.
"You had enough to make you forget everything you did last night," She replied. She shoved a glass of water in my right hand and then dropped an Advil in my left. "That should help with your headache," She sighed.
"I already know that babe, but thanks. I've had enough hangovers to last me a lifetime." She rolled her eyes at me.
"Smart ass," She muttered. I swallowed the pill and quickly gulped down the water. Kaelyn walked across her room and into the bathroom, she left the door open just a crack. I watched as she pulled out a flat iron and then she plugged it into the outlet.
I groaned as I stood up. I proceeded to the bathroom, opening the door all the way. I was leaning on the doorframe, debating whether or not to ask Kaelyn what I did last night. I watched as Kaelyn pressed the flat iron to her hair and she slid it all the way from her roots to her ends. I saw the little wisps of smoke rise in the air.
"Um... Kaelyn?" I hesitantly said.
"Hmm?" She hummed.
"Is Michael home?" Her eyes met mine and then she quickly looked away.
"I don't think so. He wasn't fifteen minutes ago." She replied.
"Will he be back anytime soon?" I started walking behind her.
"I don't know," She snapped. I took the flat iron out of her hands and unplugged it. "Hey! I wasn't finished with that!"
"You don't need it," she raised her eyebrows at me.
"Yes I do," She tried to snatch the flat iron, but I held it above my head. Kaelyn whined and leaned into me. She stood up on her tip-toes and pecked my lips.
"That was pleasant, but you can't have your flat iron back," I smirked. Kaelyn groaned and crossed her arms over her chest.
"Why not? I need it!" she threw her arms up in the air. Someone's on their period.
"No you don't. We're having a lazy day today," I triumphantly smiled. Kaelyn's eyes lit up and she attacked me with a hug around my bare torso. I accidentally dropped the flat iron on the tile... I hope it didn't break. I nervously laughed it off. Kaelyn rolled her eyes as she picked it up off the floor.
"Clutz," She chuckled. I rolled my eyes.
"So, watch movies or be stupid together?" I asked her. She smiled and pushed me gently back out of the bathroom. Kaelyn walked to her dressers and grabbed a pair of black sweatpants and a Bring Me The Horizon tee-shirt.
"Let's watch a movie together first and then we can be stupid together." She compromised. I nodded. The Advil was finally starting to take effect. My headache was slowly starting to wash away. "I'm just going to change into these first."
"Sounds good to me, babe," I kissed her cheek as she walked into the bathroom.
When she emerged from the bathroom her hair was up in a high ponytail, she was wearing the clothes she got out of the dresser, and she was looking as beautiful as ever. She doesn't need makeup, her hair doesn't have to be perfect, and she's just amazing. I need to ask her to be mine already. The suspense is killing me.
"What's wrong? Do I look bad? You're just staring at me..." She looked down at the carpet. I shook my head and wrapped an arm around her.
"You're perfect, beautiful. I was just thinking about something,"
"Oh," she replied. I sighed. I really need to hurry up and ask her.
"So... what movie?" I smiled.
Kaelyn grinned and raced out of the room and down the stairs to a big cabinet filled with movies.
This is going to be a fun day. I thought to myself as I followed Kaelyn down the stairs, creeping up behind her. I wrapped my arms around her waist and we started playfully arguing. She wants me to watch a chick flick. I am not watching a chick flick.
