Chapter 153: Chapter 153

It was Conrad who suggested the date, so Anna handed over all the arrangements for the next day to him.

"Conrad, why don’t you stay at a hotel tonight?" Follow current novels on novel fire.net

"People usually start from separate places for a date to add some surprise and suspense."

"You can just close the door and come out when it’s time to leave, that also adds suspense."

Listening to his straightforward response, Anna felt hopeless: "Conrad, have you ever been on a proper date?"

"How many times have you been on a date?" the man retorted.

Conrad seemed uninterested in the date tomorrow, but when Anna took Pop back to the room to wash up, he suddenly walked to the window with his phone.

He looked back to confirm Anna hadn’t come out, then dialed Henry Willow’s number.

"Young Master Sterling, you’re free to call me today? What’s up, seeking love advice from an expert?"

Henry hit the nail on the head. Conrad didn’t want to admit it, awkwardly asking, "Do you know any good places for a date?"

"Oh, who are you going on a date with? Marilyn? Or Anna?"

Conrad didn’t answer, but Henry knew the answer: "I bet it’s Anna, right? You never took dating with Marilyn this seriously."

"If you’re taking Anna on a date, you asked the right person. I’ve been to countless date spots, and recently, it seems young girls like going to those trendy Instagram spots, with good scenery, perfect for taking photos."

In recent years, it’s become a trend that if you can’t take good photos for the girl, it’s embarrassing to go on a date.

But those trendy spots are too crowded, and it’s not suitable for Conrad and Anna to appear in front of so many people.

"Then how about this? I recommend a few good clubs, like escape rooms or haunted houses. I think Anna, with her lively personality, might enjoy it. Or you could take her swimming or to a hot spring, never mind the weather, just for the eye candy."

"But there’s a three-year-old child."

"Bringing a child is not a date; it’s a family outing. You might as well take Sweetheart for a picnic."

"Picnic won’t do, Anna’s afraid of sunburn!"

Conrad understands; that woman’s got a lot of quirks.

This stumped Henry. His dates usually end in a hotel room, not suitable with a three-year-old third wheel in tow.

Plus, his cheeky suggestions wouldn’t fit Conrad’s style, lest he be called a rogue.

So in the end, Conrad had to come up with something himself.

"Anna, are you ready?"

Conrad knocked three times before there was finally some movement from Anna’s bedroom door.

She opened the door, and Conrad was taken aback by the sight.

Anna was wearing a light yellow sundress with fresh little floral prints. Her hair was in a braid, and she wore a sun hat, completely different from her usual style.

And Pop was clearly in a matching outfit, a mini floral yellow dress with a mini hat, paired with adorable little white shoes. The mother and daughter together looked like they walked out of a comic book hand in hand.

"Conrad, do we look good in these outfits?" Anna twirled her dress.

Pop twirled too, eagerly looking at daddy for feedback.

For once, Conrad gave an unfiltered compliment, showing Anna’s outfit truly pleased him.

However, Anna then pouted at him.

She walked up to Conrad, examining him from head to toe.

"Conrad, you’re heading out dressed ?" Anna asked.

President Sterling didn’t see a problem; it was a new custom suit.

The craftsmanship and fabric were of such high quality that it was fit for a state banquet.

But Anna tapped his shoulder with her hat: "Take a look at yourself. Do you match our style?"

"Let’s find someone with a normal aesthetic to judge." Anna crouched and asked the little one, "Can daddy go out with us?"

Hearing this, the little one tilted her head up high to scrutinize Conrad, then shook her head.

"See, even Pop says no!"

This was the first time in over twenty years that the clothing rack President Sterling received a bad review!

It’s not that the clothes or Conrad himself were the problem; he did look dashing.

"But today we are going out to have fun, not to attend a meeting. Why are you dressed so formally?"

Anna directly pushed him back into the room: "Quick, change into something casual. We’re leaving!"

They say Conrad hadn’t given himself a full day off in years; where would he have casual clothes?

Fortunately, Anna was prepared: "I do."

Saying this, Anna pulled out from her room a white men’s T-shirt and a pair of jeans.

Seeing this, Conrad didn’t take them immediately: "Why do you have men’s clothes?"

"You don’t understand. In the fashion world, we sometimes do gender-blending outfits. Plus, while I didn’t have many acting opportunities overseas, I did have good fashion resources. Because I’m pretty, some brands offered me invitations to fashion shows, and I got benefits."

This white T-shirt and jeans were European model-sized, perfect for Conrad.

Once the man finished changing, Anna, the fashionista, couldn’t resist helping him adjust.

"President Sterling, I suggest you dress more often; it’s youthful!"

Admittedly, Conrad’s new style was refreshing, like the high school heartthrob Anna once had a crush on.

Of course, Conrad was the deluxe version.

Anna took one of her yellow scarves and tied it around Conrad’s arm to match her and Pop’s dresses, reducing the visual incongruity.

That wasn’t enough; Anna picked a Peppa Pig badge to pin on Conrad.

But the man sternly refused: "What is this? I don’t want such a silly thing!"

"You must wear it. It’s today’s team emblem! Pop and I have them too, look!"

Anna pointed to her own badge, and the little one happily showed hers to daddy too.

Fine, let them mess around for just this day.

Since high school, President Sterling hadn’t donned a T-shirt and jeans.

He was unused to it, especially when he startled granny Chandler and others on the way down.

The man, awkward, sped up, not giving anyone the chance to look longer, practically flying out the door.

Poor Anna and Pop, running to catch up: "Conrad, slow down! Don’t you know what thoughtfulness means? This date is off to a bad start!"

But later, Anna realized the not-so-great experience was just beginning?

No one could have guessed Conrad picked a taekwondo gym for their first date destination.

And upon arrival, disregarding Anna’s carefully prepared makeup and ladylike look, he handed her a taekwondo uniform.

"Put it on, I’m going to teach you some self-defense moves."
