Chapter 86: Chapter 86

Tara's POV

The helicopter landed inside our large compound, and I grabbed my father's robe tightly. I didn't need anyone to tell me that I was already in trouble.

Some men got out of the helicopter staring at father and I furiously. I was still holding unto my father's robe like my life depended on it.

"Are you trying to escape from us, Tara?" Axel, Stone's head guard glared at me. This is scary!

"Escape? What… What nonsense are you talking about?" Father tried defending me, but ended up stammering.

"Hand her over to us, or we will be left with no choice but to take her from you by force" One of them snorted. I recognized him to be the guard with Stone earlier.

Oh, God! How do I even escape from this? For the first time, I regretted my actions wishing that I didn't explode the ship when Stone was inside it.

"My daughter has nothing to do with what happened to Stone. Why do you want to take her away?" Father defended me.

"You think we don't know what happened? The battle line has been drawn, Xeus. There's no way you'll hurt Stone, and go scold free" Derek growled, and that brought cold shivers running down my spine.

"I didn't do anything to Stone. I have no issues with him, the only person I had problems with was the slave. She's the only one who's my enemy" I managed to speak up with the little courage I gathered.

"Stone's body and that of the slave is yet to be found inside the ocean, do you think the castle will let this slide?" Master Karl smirked mischievously.

"We can talk about this peacefully, there's no point making a fuse out of it. My daughter didn't want him to die as well, he got missing because he cared about the slave so much that I wonder if she was just a slave or something more" Father continued, and they rolled their eyes.

"We are here for no jokes, Xeus. As a matter of fact, we are here to take that desperate daughter of yours" They continued. I held my father's robe even tighter.

One of the guards of Stone's castle corked the gun, and I felt like I was going to lose my breath.

"Don't you dare pull a trigger in my territory. You can't hurt my daughter when she's here with me. I guess you've forgotten all the favors I did for that selfish brother of yours Xavier" Father roared at them, and I felt a bit confident.

On hearing my father's voice, the syndicate members walked out of the villas. Then, I felt really powerful even if I knew that I was still in danger.

Standing beside my father, the members of my father's Mafia gang corked their guns too.

"Is this now going to be a war front? You hurt Stone, and you're still ready for a fight" The guards and soldiers from the Stone's castle continued yelling.

They started shooting each other. Father grabbed my hand, and pushed me into the Honda Accord in front of us.

He ignited the car engine, and was about to drive out of the gate when Derek shot the car's louvers. The bullet hit me directly on my left arm, and I cried out in excruciating pain.

Regardless, Father still drove out of the compound with me in the car. I was in the pool of my own blood.

Madison's POV

Slowly, I opened my weak eyes and gulped softly. My vision was blurry, but I knew that I was in a strange place.

"Where am I?" I asked no one because there was no one in the cabin house where I was lying.

I groaned a little as I got up from the wooden bed. Furthermore, I cupped my forehead on my palms in pain, my head was aching so badly.

Likewise, I looked around the cabin house, still very much confused about how I got there. What exactly I came here for is what I kept thinking about.

"Dumbass! I never thought you'd wake up this late. You're not just a handful, you're a deep sleeper too" I heard a familiar voice.

"Master Stone?" I mumbled with my eyes widened in shock. I jerked up, and was about to rush out when we bumped into each other at the door. He was coming in while I was rushing out.

"You… Gosh! I can't believe how reckless you can be" I thundered, and I bowed my head.

"I'm… I'm sorry, master" I apologized immediately, and he scoffed at me. That's the Master Stone I know.

"Are you feeling any pain?" He asked, staring out of the window, not even sparing me a glance.

I felt like I was hit by something really hard. Did I hear right? Did Master Stone actually ask me if I felt any pain?

"Huh?" I raised my brows at him.

"Are you deaf? Or probably dumb and stupid, right?" He glared at me with cold eyes, and I gulped nervously.

"No, Master! What happened? Why are we here?" I asked with a shaky voice.

"Are you trying to tell me that you don't remember anything?" He turned his gaze at me, and his fierce eyes got me intimidated. I turned my face away immediately.

"No… I… I really don't remember because…" I paused, and covered my mouth with my palms. He stared at me with his eyes narrowed.

"Was it a dream, master? Please tell me if that was a dream?" I gasped with my palms still clasped on my mouth.

"What are you talking about?" He pushed me aside to sit at the edge of the wooden chair.

"You… you gave me mouth-to-mouth respiration, right?" I stammered, and he eyed me dangerously.

"I thought you said you didn't remember anything?" He scoffed, and that made me gasp.

"What? So it wasn't a dream? We actually kissed through mouth-to-mouth respiration?" I screamed, and rushed out in shame….
