Lady Delia's POV

"MMH… MMH" Zara hummed as she shook her head negatively while I exhaled deeply.

"Oh please help me Zara, you can't keep doing this to yourself" I cried out, and she sniffed hard.

She burst into tears again, and I cupped my forehead in my palms with so much sadness.

"You are not helping me Zara, if you keep doing this then I will have no choice than to get the doctor here. I know you don't want to take those bitter medicines, do you?" I asked even if I knew she wasn't going to answer me.

Furthermore, I picked up the glass containing the milkshake from the table, and tried to feed her with it. She shook her head in disagreement, and slapped the glass off.

"Zara?" I cried out again, and she turned her back at me covering herself up with the duvet and sobbing.

She was already looking so thin, and her eyes were red because she had been crying for a long time.

This is all Stone's fault, if he didn't listen to the guards who had told him that Madison stole the jewelry, then she wouldn't be apart from Zara.

"Lady Delia…let me in. I said I want to speak with Lady Delia… I want to…" I heard voices coming from the entrance of the room.

Likewise, I walked towards the entrance, and then I saw Mona and the guards who stood by the door exchanging words.

"What's going on here? Why are you holding her in that manner? Do you want to hurt her?" I yelled at the guard who quickly let go of her arm.

"We're sorry Lady Delia, just that she's been so stubborn and refused to listen" They chorused, and I turned to Mona who pouted her mouth childishly.

"What's the matter, Mona? Why do you want to see me urgently?" I asked. I could see tears circulated in her eyes before I could say another word, they came running down her cheeks.

"Mona? What happened dear child? You look so sad" I held her hands, and she sniffed hard.

"Lady Delia, is my friend still alive?" She said those words even if tears didn't let her say it properly.

"Mona Lisa, I would never lie to you. Madison is still alive, but she's with the masters in the valley. Master Stone had gone there to see her, and to bring her back to the castle" I explained, and she stared at me sadly.

"I really don't want to lose my friend, I don't think I'll be able to take it if anything bad happens to my best friend" She continued, and I shook my head in surprise. Is this really how much they love each other?

"You don't have to worry, she'll come back with Master Stone. I'm just a bit worried that they are not yet back. The banquet was last two nights. It's kind of strange that he's not back yet, and…" I was still speaking when a guard rushed in.

"Lady Delia… Lady…" He panted as I jumped up from the bed where I was seated.

"What is it? What happened?" I asked with my heart racing so fast.

"Master Stone… I heard he was shot in the chest. He has been at the hospital" The guard broke the news, and we gasped.

"Madison?" Mona cried out, and clasped her mouth with her palms.

Madison's POV

The guards led Master Stone into the valley's mansion. He didn't want to stay in the hospital any further, so he decided to drop by at the valley's mansion before going back to the castle tonight.

I couldn't get my mind off what happened at the hospital. He actually defended me in the presence of everyone? Is he really Stone?

Emery couldn't also stop glaring at me with flames of hatred in her eyes. I just can't tell why she kept staring at me in that manner.

I walked in with the Masters including Emery into the room where Master Stone was lying on the bed.

"I'll be going back to the castle tonight. Axel is on his way here" He started, and Master Xavier nodded his head.

"I'm sure he'll be able to take good care of you then. Anyway, we have many other things to attend to, you can get a rest before he gets here" Master Xavier and Derek said.

"Master, is there anything you'd like me to get for you? I'm so sad that you have to go back to the castle looking this weak when we actually left the castle, and you were healthy" Emery rubbed Master Stone's back softly, and I turned my gaze away.

"I don't need anyone's sympathy, and you know how much I hate it when I'm being sympathized with. Get your hands off me" He ordered, and groaned in pain. Even if I tried to hold myself back, I couldn't help but rush to him to see if he was okay.

"Master Stone? Are you okay?" I asked, and he nodded his head to everyone's surprise. I was holding his arm, and he said nothing about it, but Emery just rubbed his back and he shouted at her.

Xavier cleared his throat noisily, that was when I realized I was still holding him tight. I quickly let go of him, and stepped aside while he stared at me with tender eyes.

"Let's leave him to rest" Karl said, as we all turned to leave.

"Madison, wait!" Master Stone's voice made my legs jelly. My heart skipped a beat, and I gradually turned my gaze to him.

"Master?" I wrinkled my eyebrows to make sure I heard right.

"Yes. I said wait, the rest can leave" Stone said coldly, and they all walked away. I was left with Stone alone.

"Come closer" He ordered, and I gulped nervously. Oh, God! This isn't happening.

"I… you mean me?" I stammered, and he nodded his head. I slowly walked closer to him, shivering with fear.

"Relax Madison, I'm not going to hurt you" He spoke with a tone I never believed he could ever speak with. I arched my eyebrows at him wondering if he was really talking to me, and not Zara.

"Huh?" I scratched my head.

"Come back to the castle with me, Madison. Let's go back together" He said those words like he was pleading with me. He grabbed my hand, and my breathing pace increased.

"No! I don't want to go back to the castle" I don't even know where I got the courage to speak to him in this manner from.

"What?" He widened his eyes……
