Madison's POV

I turned my gaze at Master Xavier, and cold shivers ran down my spine. Why is he staring at me like that? Is there something wrong?

"Wow! You look absolutely beautiful" Xavier complimented, and I gulped hard with a sigh of relief.

"Thank you, Master" I snapped, and he patted my hair though I was still uncomfortable with how close he is.

"I'm sure you'll look even more beautiful than the rest of them. Let's go Mandy" Xavier brought out his hand, and I bit my lower lips.

Getting up from the chair where I was seated, I sluggishly held his hand. He kissed my fist, and I choked immediately. He has been so kind to me, but I'm not really comfortable being around him.

Furthermore, he held my hands as we walked out of the room. The servants kept bowing to me, and it feels good though weird.

Immediately we got outside the big compound of the mansion, a black Lamborghini drove close to us, and parked in front of us.

"Shall we?" Master Xavier opened the car, and I got into the car. If anyone had told me that I'll go close to such an expensive car talk more of entering it, I would never have believed. Is this how it feels to be rich?

The driver drove off, and I kept mute throughout the ride. Even though Master Xavier had told me to feel comfortable, I still don't think it's necessary for me to say anything.

"Madison?" The Master called, and I quickly turned to him with beads of sweats rolling down my face.

"Why are you sweating when the air conditioner in the car is on? Are you okay? You look so tensed" He started, and I gulped nervously.

"Oh no Master. You don't have to worry, I'm really fine" I forced a smile at him even though it was fake.

"I know that you're confused and uncomfortable, but I just want you to know that I won't let anyone hurt you" He replied with a smile, and I smiled back at him. I guess this is the first time someone assured me of my safety.

"May... May I ask where we are going Master?" I stammered, and he exhaled deeply before speaking up.

"I'm taking you to a Royal banquet. It is meant for the privileged, and that's why I want to show you to the world" He held my hands, and that brought goosebumps all over my body.

What does he mean by showing me to the world? Will master Stone not come back for me? Even though I'm very happy to have my freedom back, I still feel like a part of me misses the Stone's castle.

"What are you thinking about, Madison? Don't you want to get married to me? Don't you want to get back your freedom? If you really want that, then getting married to me will be the only reason why Stone won't take you away" Master Xavier stared directly into my eyes while speaking.

"I... I really don't want to go back to being a slave, but...but I still miss the Stone's castle" I stammered, and he turned his gaze away.

"Are you sure you want to throw away all you have now just because of that horrible castle? Think of it Madison, getting married to me makes you the mistress of the valleys third mansion. Have you forgotten that?" Master Xavier spoke with a teary voice that made me confused.

"I don't have any choice if I'm asked to marry your Master. I'm just your slave, and you can do anything you want with me" I cupped my forehead with my palms.

"No Madison, you have a choice. I'll respect whatever decision it is that..." Master Xavier was still speaking when the car honked signalling that we already got to our decision.

"Let's go, Mandy" He held my hand as we got down from the car. Seeing lots of cars made me amazed. In this century, people who can afford such flashy cars are the rich.

We walked into the venue with him holding my hand. Everyone was practically staring at me, and I felt like I was going to trip and fall due to the audience I was drawing.

"Who is she? Why is she with handsome Xavier of the valleys?

"I thought he has a girlfriend?"

"I heard he was engaged to Tara, the drug lord Xeus's daughter"

"His date is really beautiful"

"Is she a privileged?"

I could hear so many people talking behind our backs and that made me uncomfortable.

"You don't have to worry about what others say. Just know that I'm right here beside you" Master Xavier whispered into my ears, and I bit my lips childishly before nodding my head.

Xavier's POV

Everyone was stealing glances at Madison. I guess it's not a new thing to say that she was looking extremely hot in the outfit.

I couldn't help but hold her hands tight because they might want to make advances towards her.

"Tara is here" I heard someone say, and everyone turned around to see her. My heart skipped a beat. Who invited her? How did she know I'd be here?

I held Madison's hand tighter than before. It's high time I stand up for what I love, and who I want to be with.

"Beautiful Tara... Xeus's daughter. Oh my God! She's putting on the most expensive attire" They chorused.

Tara walked into the banquet staring around. Of course, I don't need anyone to tell me she was looking for me.

"Xavier, I think you're really in a hot soup tonight. Why don't you just hand Madison to me, and go stay with Tara?" Derek whispered into my ears, and I shook my head in disagreement.

"Since things turned out this way, I think it's high time I tell Tara what I have in mind" I stood up, and walked towards Tara holding scared Madison's hand.

"Sweetheart, who's this lowlife thwart?" Tara called out with sarcasm blowing her bubblegum noisily, and glaring at Madison.....
