Chapter 69: Chapter 69

Lucien's POV

"Get out" I shouted at her pushing her away, and walking into the inner room. I could hear her footsteps as she ran out of the room.

I walked straight to the bathroom and showered as fast as I could. Getting out of the bathroom, I met lady Delia who was looking so sad.

"Lady Delia, why is your face like that? What happened?" I asked with arched eyebrows, and Lady Delia sighed.

"I'm really confused, Lucien. What do I do now? Your daughter has refused to eat or drink anything, and she's not even going to attend classes, she's been sobbing" Lady Delia cried out, and my eyes dimmed immediately.

Anger engulfed me, but I managed to get a hold of myself. Who could have caused my daughter's sadness? There is absolutely nothing she wants that I won't get for her especially if it's within my reach.

"What could be the problem? Who dares to make my Princess sad?" I growled.

"Why don't you come and see her for yourself? I'm exhausted because she has refused to even look at me. I don't know what else to do" Lady Delia continued lamenting.

Furthermore, I followed her, and we walked straight to my daughter's crib. She was lying on the bed, but covering her face with the duvet.

I bent over to her, and held her little hand. She took off the duvet and stared at me with tears in her eyes.

"Baby? Are you okay? What happened? Did anyone do something to make you feel bad?" I asked with a calm tone, and she sniffed hard pointing to the door.

I turned to the door, still very much confused. Turning to lady Delia, I arched my eyebrows to know if she actually understands the message Zara was trying to pass to me.

"Do you understand her, Lady Delia? Do you know what she meant by pointing to the door?" I asked with worry written all over my face.

"I think she's talking about Madison, the slave. She always points to the door whenever she wants me to call Madison for her" Lady Delia snapped, and my heart skipped a beat.

I turned my gaze back to Zara, and she nodded her head in agreement with what Lady Delia said, biting her fingers.

Words refused to come out of my mouth the moment I saw her nod her head. That is the only thing I can't really get for her.

"MMH" She hummed hitting my back softly with tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Zara, I know I… I promised to get you whatever you want, but I can't really get her here now. She's… she's not here" I stammered for the very first time while speaking.

She burst into tears again, and covered her face with the duvet. I turned to the other side and saw her untouched food. The teacher was waiting outside since she refused to even leave the bed to talk more about taking her lessons. Is that how important that slave is to her? She really loves her this much? What exactly got over me to do that to the slave?

Tears circulated in my eyes, trying to blink them back, they ended up rolling down my cheeks. Am I really Stone? When did I become so chicken-hearted to cry because of a slave?

~XEUS'S MANSION~

Tara's POV

The make-up artist applied make-up on my face while Mia helped me get the suitable jewelry for my outfit.

My expensive stunning black gown was hung at the other end of the room. I've been waiting for so long to attend the banquet with my fiancé, Xavier.

"Are you sure you really want to do this, my lady? Don't you think you'll end up embarrassing yourself?" Mia, my handmaid asked, and I turned to her, giving her a disdainful glare.

"I know what I'm doing Mia. You don't speak to me like I'm stupid" I yelled at her, and she bowed her head immediately.

"I'm sorry, my lady" She snapped, and I rolled my eyes at her before turning to the mirror.

"Tonight is the royal banquet, and Xavier didn't bother to invite me to come over with him. I heard from Karl that he'll be coming for the banquet. Everyone knows you can't go to such a banquet all alone without a lady, tell me who he is going to the banquet with? Shouldn't I be the one with him?" I fumed with anger.

"You should be my lady, but what if you find him with another lady? Will you be able to take that? Are you sure you'll be alright? I really don't want to see you troubled" Mia worried.

"You can come with me Mia. I just want you to know that nothing will stop me from attending this banquet because I need to see the church rat who is taking my fiancé from me" I gritted my teeth with my fists clenched.

"My lady, I really don't think this is necessary. You're a princess, and you shouldn't let yourself go through such…" Mia was still speaking when I landed a slap on her left cheek.

She gasped with her hand on her left cheek, and I glared hard at her with tears in my eyes.

"Didn't I tell you to keep quiet Mia? You dare not speak when I'm speaking. I have made my decision, and there's nothing you can say to make me change my mind. I'm going to the royal banquet, and the god-damned b*tch should be ready for me" I smirked mischievously.

The servants helped me put on the silver glittering shoes, and I stood up from the chair where I was seated.

I walked around majestically in the room with a creepy smile. Nothing, and absolutely nothing will stop me from attending the royal banquet tonight.

I'm definitely going to teach the @sshole a lesson that she'll never forget in a hurry.

Who's ready for tonight's banquet? Tonight, I'll tear that stupid knucklehead's dress, and strip her naked in public……
