The sound of Alaric's voice snapped her thoughts. Viona turned to see, Alaric standing with a grim expression. The boy that she used to know as soft, sweet was wearing an expression, full of disgust and hatred. His calm eyes were turbulent, bloodthirsty like those sucker Vampires, he was. Her hopes crashed down. Solemnly, she believed that Alaric was going to understand her emotions.

Viona cried out pathetically, begged to Alaric who stood with his hands, dipped inside his pockets,

" Alaric...I asked for your forgiveness. We were friends first before. How can you do this to me?"

Alaric looked away, her tearful eyes were bothering him too much. Remembering his mother's words, he inhaled a sharp breath to reply coldly,

" I also loved you, Viona but you had your eyes for Damien. What about me? What about my feelings? How can you do this to me?"

Heartbreaking tears began to slip from Viona's eyes. It was unbelievable for her to believe that Alaric could stoop this low to have her as his mate. Alaric replied after swallowing hard,

" You should have thought about the consequences before. My family wants to see me happy."

Realization hit her hard after Viona looked up to see Alaric, his eyes shining in gratitude for his mother. But the queen told her that she wanted Viona to give birth to their heir. Viona began to reasonate the truth, speaking in a breath,

" Alaric, they are deceiving you. Your mom told me that she wanted me to give birth to a Tribid baby. That's why, she is so desperate to have us together. Alaric, they are lying to you."

Alaric narrowed his eyes at her words. Rosemund or his mother had never spoken to him about this Tribid baby issue. From yesterday, they kept claiming that they were doing this for his future and clan's well-being. His doubtful eyes flashed up to glare at his mother in distance.

Feeling his questioning eyes on them, Rosemund pinched at her mother's arms in tension. The queen quickly regained her composure, replied stuttering,

" Don't listen to her, son. She is just trying to manipulate you. You know that she has deep affection for that Alpha King. She only wants to use you to keep her bond."

The mention of Damien wiped all his weakness for Viona from his mind. Whenever he thought that Viona left him for Damien, subconsciously he felt hatred for Damien. Without speaking anything, he pulled her eyes back on Viona who kept giving her tearful eyes. This time, Alaric wanted to be selfish for the love of his life. Without paying attention to her begging, he looked away unresponsive.

Viona lost her last hope. Her breathing faded away, pain of betrayal began to surge into her mind. Rosemund and the queen smirked victoriously, gestured at their guards again,

" Bind her inside the circle!"

The moon wasn't present that night. It was told in myth that Moon Goddess cursed all the witches in ancient times. That's why, all the witch rituals were performed in absence of Moon Goddess. Despite her yelling and cries, Viona was tied inside the black circle, her hands, ankles all were spreaded wide in different angle.

Rosemund whispered to her mom nervously,

" Mother, she is too powerful..What if she escapes from us again?"

The queen assured with a smile, looking up at the dark sky above their heads,

" Don't worry, she won't! Do you think that I have come without preparation? Hybrid gets full power from Moon Goddess. Today is the full eclipse day. She won't be able to use her all powers on us."

The facts were true indeed. No matter how many times she cried or struggled to get rid of those chains, Viona's attempt failed miserably. Alaric couldn't stand her cries anymore. So, he went for the different direction in order not to see her suffering.

Later on, the queen began to take a circle around her, chanting her spell in a different language. Viona began to feel distressed, her cries getting louder. Through her wolf, she could feel the emotions of bond with Damien, and started turning weaker slowly. Countless cries, begging didn't melt their heart. She was too surprised to notice that her full hybrid power wasn't awakening too. After a while, Viona stopped struggling, feeling defeated by her luck. She muttered through her sobs and cries slowly,

" I am sorry, Damien...I couldn't protect you or our bond..."

She closed her eyes, waiting for her love to be taken away by these ruthless creatures. At this time, she wished that she didn't find Alaric ever because she trusted him as a friend rather than a mate.

" Don't stop me, Celeb! I have to go!", Damien roared, and was ready to step into the vampire's territory but Celeb wasn't allowing him to go. The pack members were already doubting Damien. Now, if he insisted on going to save Viona, the pack members might force him to step down from his Alpha's position.

Celeb warned seriously, pitying his poor mental state,

" Alpha, I know that you are worried. But what if they stand against you?"

Damien pursued his lips sternly,

" I don't care. I only know that I will have to save my mate before losing her for forever."

Damien thought about it for a long time. Before an Alpha, he was her mate, her husband and only one person on this earth whom she could rely faithfully. Then, how could he allow her to face the danger alone?

Celeb respected his Alpha's choice and sighed heavily without arguing anymore. Just when Damien intended to step outside, their alarming bell began to run through the house. Damien's track froze abruptly. At the same time, the front door burst open with a scream from their guard,

" ALPHA!! OUR PACK IS UNDER SUDDEN ATTACK!"

" Noo! Let Damien come out first. An Alpha should face the war face to face. If Damien is willing to step down from his position, we will see what can we do later."

Matteo shared his hesitation, glaring cold in the house,

" I don't think that someone stubborn and Royalty like Alpha Damien will admit defeat without fighting."

Lucas's expression turned swollen since it was an undeniable truth that Damien was the best among all Alphas. No matter how many tricks he used, he could never match his strength.

Lucas growled at his other people impatiently,

" Bring his adopted sister to us. She might be worthy to blackmail him."

The guards nodded before rushing inside the house according to his order.

Inside, Ashley and Ariana were sending the children to the safest place. In the absence of Viona, they had to take care of everything in this crucial situation. Ashley was shouting at everyone to go faster,

" Hurry up, guys! Go! Go!"

The children were sent into the secret room of their house, protected around ironic walls, deep under the ground. After they were sent down there, Ashley urged Ariana who was the only pregnant woman in the house,

" Ariana, you should hide with them too."

Ariana panted and refused to go,

" No, Ashley! I can't leave you alone. Luna isn't here too. You will be left alone."

Ashley was going to push her inside but at that time, two guards broke the door of their pack house. The mothers of those children quickly locked the door of that secret room, cried and yelled around the house for help but none of their guards were nearby as they were taken down by Lucas and his people.

The guards headed straight for Ariana and pulled her by her hair ruthlessly to drag her outside to Lucas. Ariana yelped in pain, screamed with all her might,

" Let go..Let go of me...."

Ashley followed her running outside and was frozen to see Lucas and his wolves standing only a few feet away from their house. Lucas laughed at Ariana's scream, shouting happily,

" Take that bitch here! She is the only family here to Damien."

The guards kept dragging, pushing Ariana like an object who was pregnant. Ashley couldn't watch her suffering. She rushed forward to beg Lucas,

" Please don't hurt her..she is pregnant..Let her go..I am also close to Damien.. take me...take me.. instead of her.."

Ariana shouted saying No but Ashley wasn't listening. She had done so many sins already. If saving Ariana was going to cost her life, she was willing to do that. At least, she would be happy to feel that she had saved two innocent lives.

Lucas gave Ashley a deep look, eyeing her from head to toe. As a womanizer, he could see that Ashley had a better body than Ariana. Besides, he heard that Ariana was perhaps and was older than Ashley.

Lucas made his dirty command, waving at his guards to let go of Ariana,

" Let her go! We will play with this bitch."

His wolves all laughed together ironically and gave Ashley a dirty look who had to bite her lips hard from crying. Ariana kept crying too and waited for Damien to come. When she peered around to search for their other guards, her heart dropped instantly because there had no one to save them There was absolutely no one to rescue them from these monsters.

Oh Viona! Why did you leave us alone?
