Chapter 95: Chapter 95
* Blood Moon Day Festival *
The Trevisan Pack House was decorated entirely differently today. Colorful lights eliminated the trees of the forest. Smells of BBQ were fresh in the air, laughter and children's noise could be heard from a distance.
Viona and Damien came down together from the stairs. Their smiles were radiant as they looked at each other. Viona wore a pink gown, backless with shining sparkles on it, her mark was highlighted very clearly. Although, she wanted to cover it from everyone's eyes, Damien insisted on showing it off, blurting something like that she was his officially. On the contrary, Damien also dressed more formally today. His blue retro suit hugged his bulging muscles, and fit against his skin nicely. Today had two biggest occasions. Apart from Blood Moon Festival, he was going to crown Viona as their Luna QUEEN in front of everyone. Her training was completed now. Her remarkable experiences of managing pack proved that she was ready to become the queen of all Lunas.
Their pack members were more than ready to put the crown on her head. Viona had never been happier than today. She had her own pack now finally. These people trusted her and loved her like family. Even Ashley's attitude changed towards her. From being a monarch enemy, she became a caring friend. She dressed Viona for today's event.
Celeb made his appearance in the hallway, bowing and smiling at his Alpha and Luna,
" Alpha, they are waiting for your arrival. The crown is all ready."
The pack members chriped happily, gathered in the backyard under the moonlight. The stage was ready for them, covered in white flowers. It was looking like a wedding stage. Sid, the cutest little boy was carrying the crown, a grin spreaded on his face. Viona's heart melted at the sight of how many people wanting her in this house.
Ariana helped Viona to get on the stage. Damien held her hands to lead to the stage like a gentleman. Grabbing the microphone, Damien announced happily, not caring whoever arrived or not,
" Dear members of Trevisan Pack House, today we all have gathered here to give our queen her rightful crown. Since we have marked each other, I don't think that we should delay this holy occasion."
His members all exclaimed excitedly, clapped their hands together. Apart from their own members, no other pack joined in fear of falling in councilmen's bad side. Damien didn't care about it at all. He had expected it from the very beginning. Even the councilmen were nowhere to be around. But the Alpha King never cared for the people who didn't show respect to his Luna.
Drumroll buzzed in the air, wolves howled in happiness when Damien gave his final announcement that he was going to crown his Luna now.
" STOP!!", a loud snarling voice snapped everyone's gaze behind, spotting three rows of men, standing together. All of their expressions were grim, anger lacing from their voices. Judging by the same dress robs on everyone, all of them understood that they were part of council. But Damien didn't invite so many people.
Why did they come all together?
Damien stopped crowning Viona abruptly. He dropped the crown on its place and turned around in rage to bark at those unwelcomed guests,
" What are you guys doing here? I didn't invite the full family of the council."
The head of councilmen Alexander stomped forward in dismay. Ignoring the fact that Damien had been acting disrespectful to them, he announced to the members who gathered around,
" We have information that there is a hybrid, hiding inside your pack."
All of them gasped in surprise, their eyes turning wide in horror. The man named Alexander whirled his head around to judge the expression of the crowd and smirked in satisfaction. Then, his eyes rested on Viona who stood stiff, over the stage. Her expression turned out complicated, losing color gradually.
Damien barked, stepping down from the stage,
" What? Are you mad? We should have identified long back. A hybrid is an uncontrollable creature. He should have murdered all of us already. "
The councilmen, Alexander explained, crossing his arms behind to stare at Damien like a fool,
" Unfortunately, we don't have any answer for that but we must abduct the creature right away. Our community can't be threatened."
Damien found it very rude to interrupt their holy ceremony. He sneered, shooting glare at Alexander,
" Is that why you stopped our ceremony? You could have just waited. This is disrespectful to my Luna."
Alexander couldn't control his rage anymore. Sending glare to Damien, he blurted in rage, huffing and looking around carefully,
" We don't know the creature yet. This could be anyone. A little delay won't cause any harm, Damien. Move and let our work do!"
Tears pricked from Viona's eyes in pain and self- blame. She knew that it was over now. Her happy days in this pack were done now. Eventually, she wanted to tell Damien after the coronation ceremony. But the news had already reached the council. She wondered who had sent this news to them which had been keeping secret for years.
Damien still wanted to protest their actions since they were no longer a part of their council. But an older member suggested, speaking on behalf of everyone,
" Alpha, let them do their work. A hybrid is dangerous. It can kill any of us. They are here for our good."
Biting his lips hard, Damien had stepped out of their way, groaning internally in rage. Alexander then gestured at his men, speaking in a loud, clear voice,
" Release those Lycans here! If the hybrid really belongs to them, he will be turning into his true form obviously."
Viona clenched her fists hard. Even the name of Lycans was enough to make her blood boil in rage. In their community, Lycans and Hybrid were like monarch enemies. If a Lycan posed a threat to any hybrid, he or she will definitely attack with her worst side. It was impossible for a hybrid to act calm in the presence of a Lycan.
The man obeyed Alexander's order, walked near the big cage as they carried along their way. As soon as the metal door was pushed open, ferocious growls began to engulf the air. The pack members all backed away subconsciously, only Damien stayed at his position in bewilderment. He knew that these Lycans weren't harmful to anyone. For years, councilmen had been using Lycans to investigate any case.
Black paws came out, seething against the rough ground. Four oversized Lycans stepped out gloriously from the cage, seething and showing their long cannies. Their nostrils flared up, glowing eyes searched around the crowd. As soon as they landed on the stage, an ear piercing growl shattered the place.
On the stage, Viona had also begun to feel the changes. Her rational thoughts were blocked, confusing her about reality. Instead of cannies, her fangs appeared out, her dominic aura felt threatened by those Lycans. When they began to prod over to her in an attacking gesture, Viona let out a different howl.
Her eyes changed color, turning deep red ones. Her sweet aura was gone, replaced with a killing aura. Her claws stepped out and within a moment, a black, big sized wolf jumped off the stage.
Damien's lips parted in disbelief. He no longer recognized his brown, beautiful wolf mate. This black sized wolf was different, bigger than him also. But her eyes were glowing red like vampires.
Viona joined in a fight with those Lycans, grabbing them like a mad wolf. She twisted one of their necks with her paw, her mouth opening to suck their blood out. It was a total mascara and madness.
The members all flew in different ways, terrified to witness the bloody scene. Blood rolled all over the ground, Viona's uncontrollable behaviors had nearly killed those Lycans. Councilmen, Alexander had to interrupt to save the mascara. With his other instruction, his guards threw a net on Viona's wolf.
Her wolf let out a painful howl immediately, feeling electric shock against her skin. Her aggressive nature turned weak, releasing those Lycans from her paws. Groaning and staggering painfully, Viona's wolf fell back on the ground.
Her teary eyes pulled over Damien who was too dazed to say anything. When their eyes met, more tears slipped past Damien's eyes. He murmured, staring at his mate in disbelief,
" I trusted you!"
