Viona flew over for her father's pack in worry. Although, she hated her father to the core, they were her family. Her heart twisted painfully to overthink that something might have gone wrong with her father's back.
As she arrived at the doorway of the pack, everything seemed okay especially the smile faces of the pack members surprised her. They welcomed her politely and told that her father and brother were waiting inside. Greeting them back, Viona stepped inside to be greeted by another group of unfamiliar clearly. All of them stood up to greet her, considering her status of queen. Sooner or later, the throne was going to be her too.
Viona was in puzzled state and gave them a proper look. Upon giving them a better look, Viona figured out that they were their neighborhood pack and a feud happened with them regarding the lands recently. Diverting her attention from them, Viona spotted the Alpha's daughter, dressed formally and was blushing without any apparent reason. Her frown deepened and she gave Brian a look of questioning who looked away awkwardly.
" Sit, Viona!", Mr.Rogers spoke in a gullible tone, probably happened first time in years when he was this sweet to her. It was an open secret to her that his father always behaved well around outsiders. After marrying Damien, he started to act more acceptable towards her.
To better understand the situation, Viona got down on the couch, looking around everyone. Alpha from Eastwood pack didn't forget to flatter the Luna Queen,
" You are really blessed to have such capable mate, Luna Queen."
Viona acted like she heard nothing from them. Shifting her eyes over to her father, she questioned calmly without wasting anymore moments,
" What is going on here? I had to rush here."
Mr.Rogers who felt grateful that his daughter didn't show out her rude attitude stood up to smile big. His eyes sparkled in happiness when he spoke in a voice of declaration,
" Now, I announce Brian Rogers as the fiancee of Eastwood's princess, Sabrina Jordan."
Cheers and applause engulfed the surrounding except Viona who was too silent to react anything. Was her father now forcing mate?

" Viona, wait! Listen to me, please..Vi..",Brian begged, running after Viona who stormed outside after announcement. It took her everything to not react at that environment. She was mad at her father and dissapointed at her favorite brother who agreed to marry when he had already gotten his mate.
" What?? What should I listen, brother?", Viona shouted, whipping her head back to glare at Brian. Her eyes were glowing, defining that her wolf was mad like her. She adored Ariana from the beginning. How could her own brother do this to her?
Brian raked fingers through his hairs frustratingly. Locking their eyes, he explained in a sorry voice,
" I had no.. choice.. Viona... Father won't approve Ariana ever until I take the charge of this pack. I have told Ariana everything. She will understand me."
Viona let out a scoff, glaring hard at his face,
" Understand you? Have you considered her pain? Have you ever thought deeply that how she must be feeling right now? You care for this pack so much that you will leave your mate alone?"
Brian looked away, guilt forming in his vision. His thoughts were always different from his siblings. He had always wanted to become an Alpha. Now that his opportunity was knocking at the door, he didn't had the guts to deny it. He mumbled looking away,
" I..I have no choice... Father wants it and I will definitely divorce her after a week of our marriage."
Viona shook her head in dissapointment. She couldn't believe that her brother was so obsessed with Alpha position. Perhaps, she never looked through his mind deeply. Taking a deep breath, Viona muttered her last words before running back into the woods,
" Do whatever you wish but don't do something that you will regret later, Brother."

" What? Viona? That bitch who hurt me?", Rosemund yelled out of fury. She just happened to know from Layla, her mother that Alaric was in call with Viona before leaving the mansion. This cleared everything that something had happened between them.
Layla was in deep thoughts. To make their family more powerful, she needed Viona at any cost. But at first, she had to know what went wrong between them. Rosemund continued rumbling, storming around the tiny corridor of hospital,
" Mom, I am telling you. She must have provoked my brother to meet this accident."
Layla gave her daughter an irritated look. Her outrageous nature never changed and led her to more troubles. Layla reminded her daughter, knowing very well that what Viona meant to her son,
" Don't forget that she is your brother's mate. Surely, he will take her side."
Calming down from her high temper, Rosemund mumbled, narrowing her eyes,
" But how will you know what happened? Brother will never agree to tell us anything. Besides, he was already upset on us for kidnapping her the other time."
Layla smirked, pushing her hairs behind,
" I know whom he will tell everything!"

" Hey buddy! How are you doing?", a familiar voice pulled Alaric out of his daze in next morning. When he turned to face the man, his mouth agaped in disbelief. Allex, his best friend more likely brother who lived in overseas appeared out of nowhere. As Allex was helping his father's business, they barely had time to spend together. Their busy schedule didn't match always and they ended up chatting through phone everytime. Having Allex all of sudden shocked Alaric undoubtedly.
But Alaric was happy beyond words. Last time, he went to attend his sister's baby shower which waa three years ago almost. Alaric's eyes lit up in surprise and happy, a big smile budding from his lips,
" Allex, how come you are here? You didn't even tell me once."
Allex, the handsome, brown haired fashionable guy walked forward to grasp him into a tight hug. Once they were sober, Allex replied reasonably,
" I had a business trip urgently. Then I happened to hear that you met an accident. How come the crown prince of vampires act like humans?"
Alaric rolled his eyes, trying to suppress his true emotions,
" Just break failed. I was distracted possibly."
Then, they chatted for a while and Allex talked about his life in overseas. After the guards had served them tea, Allex asked sipping from his ginger tea,
" Buddy, you told me about your mate. Where is she? How come she isn't here when you are at this serious state?"
The mention of ' mate' took every colorful blemish from Alaric's expression. Her words still lingered in his thoughts and mind. It was hard to accept the fact that his mate didn't want him as a part of her life. Alaric mumbled, letting out a heavy sigh,
" She is busy! She can't make it!"
Allex gave him another deep glare. As his closest friend, it was obvious that he could read Alaric's expression. Letting out a hum, Allex asked in a serious voice, dropping his cup carefully,
" What's wrong? Doesn't she want to be with you?"
Allex guessed randomly, watching the pale face of Alaric as if he went through a storm. Alaric was very sensitive about his personal issues but if it was Allex, perhaps he could trust him. Pushing his eyes up in distance, Alaric mumbled painfully,
" She has rejected our mate bond. She doesn't want me Allex."
A loud gasp escaped from Allex's mouth whose eyes went wide in disbelief. Breaking a bond was cruel more likely killing someone invisibly. No wonder, Alaric was distracted and met an accident like normal humans.
Allex growled in cold voice,
" How could she? Did you try to convince her? We can bring her here if you want, Alaric. Is she blind to refuse the crown prince?"
A bitter smile creepted on his face. Alaric had the urge to laugh at himself. He was the reputated crown prince, next heir on line. His every order was followed, his every wishes were compelled. He got everything whatever he wanted except that person he wanted the most, his mate. What would he do with that kingdom if he didn't get the love of his life?
Alaric explained calmly,
" Love can't be attained forcefully, Allex. She has someone else in her life already. I can't force her to love me. It's best that she stays happy and I live with this pain. That's all!"

Moments afterwards, Allex headed outside, fuming in rage. Apart from everything,he cared for Alaric and his happiness. An unknown hatred for his mate had bloomed inside his heart already.
" You are right, queen. His bond has been rejected ruthlessly.", Allex informed Layla who was the one called him in emergency. Allex or his father couldn't dare to disobey the queen.Hence, he flew back the next day as soon as possible.
Layla clenched her fists tightly, her fears turning true. Right now, she was filled with hatred for Viona. That girl not only ruined her entire plan but also hurt his son too deep. How can she get a tribid heir if they don't start their relationship?
Layla muttered lowly,
" I knew it! Thanks Allex!"
Allex bowed courteously at the queen and reminded with a grin,
" Pleasure is all mine, your highness. Don't forget the contract with my father!"
Layla assured with a smile,
" Of course, I don't forget to reward my loyal people!"
Layla didn't give them any chance to refute. When she approached Allex on her own, she had already the plan in her mind. Allex and his father were accepting a new contract from a big company. But a lot of obstacles were delaying the process. Layla took that opportunity and offered them help, indirectly stating that Allex had to get the truths from Alaric at any cost.
Nodding his head, Allex departed from the hospital, leaving Layla with her furious thoughts. Now that, Viona had refused her son, she didn't need any nice play anymore. Viona had to pay off for breaking her son's heart.
