Chapter 12: Chapter 12

Damien quired keeping his abysmal eyes locked on her perturbed face and waited a little uncomfortable to hear her answer. Viona was in daze for a few rare moments but quickly collected her bizarre thoughts successfully. Averting his heated eyes on her, she answered almost like a shallow whisper,

" I prefer not to disclose my personal matters when we are sharing no emotions, king Damien."

Damien furrowed lightly and didn't presser her anymore.Since they both were getting married, they will have plenty times to open up their hearts. Damien skipped the topic, picked up another fresh cotton once again and applied it on her luscious lips.

Viona hissed lightly when the liquid ointment was pressed on her fresh scar. Clutching the bedsheets underneath her fists nervously, she gritted her teeth together and kept staring at his calm face.

How come he is so patience with her now?

Viona wandered trying to see through his mind but the man was always reserved like an ocean. It was easy to see the surface but hard to dig through its depth.

After applying the ointment carefully, Damien lifted up his hazel eyes on her and whispered softly,

" You should only consider one fact that I am your mate. I will be there for you always."

Damien spoke, hauled up and left the room silently leaving her in daze. Viona bited her lips gently and couldn't find the exact reason of her uneasiness.

Why was she feeling guilty to treat him coldly?

Moments after Damien departed, Brian ran over inside her room hastily. His breathing panted trying to become stable desperately. He almost jumped on her side and asked with concern while inspecting Viona from head to toe,

" Vi, has father done something to you? Sorry, I am late. I went for a run but didn't expect that he would sieze this opportunity. Even Steven wasn't here for you. Are you all right? "

Viona smiled gracefully at her brother's concern and assured,

" I am fine, Brian. Lucky, Alpha Damien arrived on time. His arrival was quite efficient on father."

Brian gasped softly in horror and stammered anxiously,

" Da..Damien..has he.."

Viona interrupted tugging on his sleeves gloomily,

" No, he hasn't heard anything. Besides he gave his words to protect me always."

Brian smiled widely in relief and asserted,

" That's really good, Vi. At least he will be there to protect you.Why don't you try to tell him everything?"

Viona shook her head almost instantly and replied with a bitter smile,

" Do you really think that he would accept this as the king of all Alphas? They prioritize their status more than anything in this world. Just because he is good to me, that doesn't mean that he will accept all of me."

Brian inteneded to coax but having second thoughts, he gave up and exhaled deeply. Wandering his eyes around, he informed faintly,

" Then..Get ready for the wedding tomorrow..We are preparing for your wedding.."

Viona nodded absentmindedly. She didn't had any excitement in this wedding which didn't matter to her in any ways. After Brian left her room, she got back to her bed peacefully ignoring the mess that she created on the floor.

|| WEDDING DAY ||

It was their wedding day in a blink of eye. Howls of werewolves started to spread out in the air of Blue Moon Pack Villa. They couldn't wait to see the magnificent wedding of their king today. Some of them arrived earlier than they had been invited. Some particular pack members from Blue Moon Pack were particularly giving off rude attitude since their Alpha's daughter was going to make new alliance with the powerful packs of all time.

Inside the bedroom, soon-to-be bride studied herself blankly at the mirror. Her porcelain skin was glistening more today due the polish of her caretakers. Her long hairs were cascaded down in both sides of her shoulders neatly. She appeared practically like a barbie doll who seemed enchanting but had no soul. A part of her long white gown were discreeted over the floor clumsily. Except the heavy two lined necklace, Viona hadn't put any ornaments on her wedding day.

The maids giggled admiringly at her beauty and whispered among each others something in a low voice. Viona didn't had any mood of noticing at their blabbering mouth. She picked one side of her gown carefully and started to head outside to greet with her familiar members before wedding.

Striding downstairs, she found the hallway empty and assumed that everyone had gone over the wedding venue. Since it was taking longer time for her to get prepared, everyone left earlier.

She was a little dissapointed and walked out of the entrance in order to find out anyone in their outdoor villa. After coming outside, she found no one and wanted to head back inside. Just when she turned to leave, a familiar voice came out from her back surprising her,

" Ouch! You look beautiful, today! "

Viona almost jumped out from her spot and spun around in shocked. Her expression paled when she noticed the man smiling at her widely. She asked coldly narrowing her eyes,

" What are you doing here? "

Alpha Dixon finally stopped smirking. His dark eyes flashed with danger. Eyeing on her outfit nastily one more time, he commented snorting out coldly,

" Too bad! This looks aren't for me."

Viona started feeling uncomfortable at his look on her. Since the day, she rejected his proposal, there had been fued among their packs. At one point, Dixon threatened her to claim her as his own but Viona didn't compromise with him no matter how much tantrum he threw. After that commotion, Steven announced that Alpha Dixon wasn't permitted to step in their valley anymore. It might have been the wedding ceremony that brought him here.

Viona ignored his smug look and turned around to leave as soon as possible. As her pace picked up, she heard him saying hoarsely,

" You should have been chosen me, Viona. Look at you now! You have become mate of a cruel Alpha. Do you know that how many innocents have been killed under his claws? Besides, he has numerous enemies who can always target you to vent their anger."

Viona heeded no attention on his provocation and continued working indifferently. Receiving no reaction from her, Dixon became impatient and suddenly gloped her arms from back forcefully.

Viona gasped glancing behind and warned coldly,

" ALPHA DIXON! RESPECT YOURSELF! "

Dixon almost went insane after hearing about her wedding. He forgot the word mannerism and continued provoking her,

" Why, Viona? Didn't you say that you don't mate in your life? Then why are you marrying him off now? Is that because he has the status king? Huh? "

Dixon almost crashed her arms in rage. Viona felt slightly painful at his brutal catching and roared back warningly,

" Let go of me, Alpha Dixon! I don't want any fuss today."

Truly, she was holding her anger inside today. She didn't want to create a scene and labeled herself as a childish queen. But it appeared like he was constantly challenging her patience.

Dixon pressed on her arms hardly and spoke between his gritted teeth,

" Viona, listen to me! You can run away anytime! Just tell.."

His words were interrupted when a cold voice came from their back,

" Run away with you, Alpha Dixon? "

Dixon was stunned including Viona who both looked at the way of voice. Not too far away, Damien was standing straight tugging his fists into his pockets and stared at them coldly. For his wedding, he didn't wear anything special. His attire was completely pitch-black unleashing a strange powerful aura that he kept holding naturally. His hairs were combedded and tossled one sided down clumsily.

Dixon's earlier proud expression dropped instantly. He couldn't help but muttering incoherently,

" Al.. Alpha.. Damien.."

Damien raised up his brows threateningly and corrected,

" It's King Damien..! I don't think that I have allowed anyone to call me out casually except my mate."

Viona blushed a little and looked away from his hooded eyes. Damien resumed taking closer steps towards them slowly,

" Tell us, Alpha Dixon! So you personally think that you are a better option than me who can't even demolish the chaos amongst his own pack?"

Damien paused dangerously in front of them and continued again in an icy voice,

" Tell us, Alpha Dixon! In which aspect you are better off than me? I would like to hear out those reasons too."

Dixon looked puzzled as he didn't expect Damien to show up suddenly. Before he could spit out any reasonable answer, his hand was smashed nearly with a crisp sound.

Dixon shouted hysterically stumbling back and held his right hand painfully. Looking up, he saw Damien's murderous eyes who seemed deadly. He spoke out coldly while fixing Viona's gown indifferently,

" Hands off from my mate, Alpha Dixon! When will you all learn this simple term that I am not very well tempered with my attitude?"

Dixon who had lost his two bones shivered at his cold warning fearfully.
