Chapter 78: Chapter 78

I turned my attention back to the circle too just as I heard Tessa or Tina say to Leo, "I dare you to take off your shirt and stay shirtless for the rest of the game."

A bunch of 'oooh's came from the guys in the crowd while the girls giggled. Leo raised both of his eyebrows in surprise, but replied, "Okay."

He placed his hands on the hem of his shirt and started lifting it up, but I wasn't able to see more as a pair of large, warm hands covered my eyes. I raised my hands to the hands against my eyes and grasped them in response. I was about to protest when I heard Jake's deep, entrancing voice say, "You can't look at his body, baby doll. You can only look at mine."

I couldn't help, but laugh at how jealous he sounded, and I felt happy that he was being possessive over me. That meant that he really loved me, and couldn't bear me paying attention to another guy. "Okay, whatever you say, my bad boy. But you don't let me see you shirtless enough."

"You don't either." He replied in a teasing voice.

I laughed with his hands still covering my eyes, I knew he was joking, but could also tell that he wanted it to happen. "That's not the same and you know it."

He chuckled in deep voice and I felt it vibrate through my ear shell. "I know, just wanted to hear your sweet voice laugh."

"Your sweet talking is getting too much. It can melt even the coldest of hearts." I teased and chuckled, lightly.

He let out a laugh, leaning back from my ear and taking his hands away from my eyes. I could finally see and Leo was wearing his shirt again. I felt confused since I thought that he was supposed to remain shirtless for the rest of the game like the dare was.

Turning to Jake with the confused look on my face, his lips lifted up into a smile. "Shane had him put his shirt back on when he saw me cover your eyes."

"But all the other girls want to see him shirtless."

"And they did." He replied with a glint of satisfaction in his eyes.

"Yeah, briefly."

"They still did no matter how long." He retorted, looking back at the circle, and I let out a laugh.

I looked back to the circle as well to see Leo placing his hand on the neck of the bottle. He flicked it and it started spinning. We all watched it as it landed on me. Jake raised both of his brows in surprise while my lips stretched intp a smile as I looked at Leo. He grinned at me and said, "I dare you to prank call the neighbours."

Some of the guys yelled, "Nice dare!" While a guy close to him patted his back as they laughed. I scoffed in a playful way and shook my head as Jake watched me with a smile. "Nope, not gonna do it. I would rather wear that funny hat."

"And don't forget to dance in a funny way." Mike added, and we all burst out laughing.

I rolled my eyes, playfully at him as I stood up from my seat on the couch and started towards the hat on the table. "Yeah, I can't dance in a funny way."

"Okay, you don't have to do that. You can wear the funny hat only." Jake said as I reached the funny hat.

"No fair!" A girl standing with dark hair and very pale skin that made her look like a vampire yelled. Her name was Riley and she always sat two tables away from us at lunch. "You're letting her have her way because she's your girlfriend."

I stuck my tongue out at her as I replied, "That's the perks of being the party host."

Everyone laughed including her and me. I picked up the funny, springy, pink hat from the table and placed it on my head. A giggle came from amongst the students and I narrowed my eyes in a playful way, staring at the crowd as I said, "Don't you dare laugh."

That made them grin, and I walked back to my seat beside Jake. He looked at me as I sat down and lifted his hand to pull the spring of the hat. "You look cute."

I raised my hand and lightly slapped his hand away. He chuckled and pulled his hand back. I let out a small laugh too, "I thought you said that I was hot?"

His lips widened into a large smile, revealing his straight, white teeth, "You're both and all, baby doll."

"All being?" I asked as I watched him with curiosity.

He looked into my light brown eyes as he sincerely said, "Beautiful, pretty, hot, cute, and every synonym of those words."

A blush rose on my cheeks as I giggled. Before I could reply, a yell came from one of our party guests. A guy with dark hair who was sitting next to Tessa or Tina or whatever her name was. "Save the flirting for when you two are alone! But for now, we need to continue the game."

I looked back at them as I said, "I would apologize, but you know that the school's bad girl does no wrong."

Some of them laughed while others grinned since they knew that I was joking. I wasn't that rude even as the bad girl of the school and a member of Jake's gang. Jake was among those that laughed, of course. I turned to them and bent down to flick the neck of the bottle.

I leaned back against the couch as we all watch it spin. It landed on Sean just as I noticed Abbey walk into the living room. She was alone without Stephanie or the rest of their clique which was shocking. I smirked as I looked back at Sean who didn't notice her yet.

"I dare you to ask Abbey out."

He looked shocked and confused, but when he saw my gaze move back to her, he followed it and saw her standing a few feet awah from him. She looked shy as a blush rose on her cheek when she saw him staring at her. Everyone was quiet as they watched them to see what they would do. After all, our cliques weren't exactly BFFs.

He stood up from his place on the floor and strode to her. He stopped in front of her, and she looked at him as he let a soft smile touch his lips. "Abbey, will you go out with me?"

She looked around the living room, looking scared as if afraid that Stephanie would pop out of nowhere and stop her. A look of relief passed over her face when she didn't see what made her look scared. She glanced at me who made the dare and mouthed something to me that I read as 'thank you'.

I wondered where all the anger and animosity that she showed me on that day that we exposed them went. Has her new found crush for Sean made forget all that. Though she was his mate now, I haven't forgotten how she had drugged me and Jake or how she was still in Stephanie's clique and followed each of her orders.

But I was willing to be friendly towards her for Sean's sake, and like Jake had said, we've got to be cautious of her. That was in case she turned her on us. I wasn't even sure how Stephanie let her attend the party. Maybe she stood up to her and said she must come or she hid it from her? Who knew?

Abbey looked back at Sean and nodded as a grin spread on her lips, "Yes, I would love to."

Sean's small smile turned into a full blown grin as he held his hand out for her to take, "Good."

She stretched out her hand and placed it in his. He gripped it in his and the crowd cheered for them. I grinned as I looked at Jake. I wasn't surprised to see that he was already staring at me. "I can't wait for us to go on our real first date so that I can spoil you and make you fall for me even more."

I let out a soft chuckle, "But I've already fallen for you more than expected."

His lips tugged up into a small smile, "I want you to fall even deeper for me so that you wouldn't even want to think of another guy."

I realised what brought this on and I shook my head as I reassured him, "You don't need to worry about me falling for Leo or any other guy 'cause I'm head over heels for you, Jake Simpsons."

His smile turned into a grin, and he captured my gaze as he said, "And I'm more than head over heels for you, Max Roberts."

I felt my lips widen into a large smile at his words and felt my stomach tighten with excitement. He leaned closer, and I held my breath, waiting for him to press his lips against mine. But he didn't do that. I let my breath go as he moved his lips to my forehead and placed a kiss there.

He pulled back and took my right hand in his, interlacing our fingers. He looked at our joined hands before looking back up at my face. "I love you, Max, and I want to always give you the best of everything. So let me take you out and pamper you like the Queen that you are."

I felt speechless by his speech and so loved. I've never felt this way with anyone else and no one has ever talked to me in such a loving way. Not only that, but he also called me a Queen. That in itself was swoon worthy because a guy that recognizes you as a Queen was the real deal. I grinned as I was finally able to bring myself to whisper, "I love you too, Jake, and would love to let you spoil me rotten."

"Wonderful." He replied as he gave my hand a squeeze before turning to the circle in front of us.

I was one lucky girl to have Jake as a mate. I turned to our friends in the circle too to see Sean sitting back at his place, and Abbey sitting next to him. It was now Jane's turn to do a dare chosen by the guy with dark hair next to Tessa/Tina.

He smirked as he stared at her chest. I knew that something harsh was about yo go down and we weren't going to like it because Shane wouldn't allow anyone disrespect or try to make a move on his girlfriend. Not just Shane, Jane herself wouldn't let someone do that to her.

Dark hair looked back at her face as he said, "I dare you to come and sit on my lap for the rest of the game."

A look of disbelief and anger settled on both Shane and Jane's face while I expected it from the way the guy was leering at her. Shane stood up from the could h with his fists clenched and said through clenched teeth, "That's not going to happen. She's mine and you know it."

Jane looked too shocked to say anything while the dark haired dude looked scared for a second. As if he just remembered that she was Shane's girl and they were part of Jake's gang and bad boy crew which made them scary and untouchable. He let a false smile spread on his lips as he let out a nervous laugh, "Relax, man. It's just a game, but if you don't like the dare, I'll change it."

"Yes, change it." Jane replied this time, having gotten over her shock.

"Okay, sit on his lap for the rest of the game." He said, pointing at Shane.

The dare made Shane relax and his demeanor changed as he turned his head to look at Jane to see what she would do. They did just started seeing each other finding out that they were mates and they were taking things slow. Unlike how her relationship with Drake was.

We all watched Jane to see what she would do. Must of us knew what she would do, but we still waited to see. A smile touched her lips and she stood up from her place on the couch beside me then took his hand. She pulled him to her seat on the couch and then sat down on his lap.

Shane looked speechless as he stiffened while she looked at the guy with dark hair. "Dare done."

He nodded his head vigorously and then flicked the bottle's neck. It started spinning and Jane exclaimed, "I'm supposed to do that, but never mind."

He glanced at her and Shane briefly then at me and Jake, still looking scared. He looked at the two if us to make sure that he was cool since we were the leaders of our clique and the party hosts. I glanced at Jake and saw him nod at him.

The guy let out a sigh of relief as the bottle finally stopped spinning. It landed on Alex just as I noticed Greg and Grey walk through the crowd to reach the circle. They both grinned when they saw the bottle in the middle of the circle. Greg looked over at all of us as he yelled, "Hey, guys! Sorry for coming late. Had some things to take care of first."

Grey nodded as he pointed his thumb at his twin brother, "Yeah, what he said."

"No problem, frat boys!" Jake replied with a smirk.

"That we are." Grey retorted as he and Greg sat down on the floor in between the dark haired guy and Tessa/Tina.

Jane raised her brows and let them down as she turned back to Alex, "Okay, so I dare you, Alex to run up and down the street in only your underwear, yelling, 'I did it!'"

I had to say that was an epic dare and most of students yelled, "Yeah!"

They were showing their approval for the dare and I glanced at Jake to see his reaction. He was only staring at me, looking deep in thought. He lips tugged up in a small, lazy smile when he caught my eyes. I felt my heart beat faster at how charming his smile looked.
