Chapter 13: Chapter 13

"That's my baby doll." He said with a smile touching his lips.

"Your baby doll?" I asked, looking at him incredously.

"Yes, you're mine." He said as he looked straight into my eyes.

"Says who?"

"Me and you." He replied, still looking into my eyes. I knew that he was still pressing on being together with me, but I still wasn't ready and wasn't sure of my feelings for me. So I decided to laugh it off.

He watched me with his hazel eyes that seemed to penetrate into me. I turned back to the dummy and pulled on my head phones. I glanced at him to make sure that he did the same, he did, and I moved my gaze back to the dummy.

I raised the glock in my arms and pointed at the dummy's head with one eye closed. I pulled the trigger and the top slide back as an empty cartridge fell out and the bullet shot through the air towards the dummy.

We have been practing for hours until I finally learnt how to shoot. Jake was amazed that I learnt so fast in less than a day, but I was so determined to be as amazing as he was shooting a gun. I could now shoot so good and perfectly that I can even use only one hand. Jake was so proud.

We were now in the elevator as it took us up to the main house. It dinged open and we both walked out. I glanced at Jake as we walked down the hallway to the living room. "So this is where you all hang out?"

He spared a glance at me, "Yeah, we are always spending our time here. Sometimes, we even sleep over here."

"But how? I know that your parents think that you party, but what about the others?" I asked just as we entered the living room.

"Their parents know Aiden and Rafer and how responsible Aiden is, so they are cool with it." Jake replied just as we reached the guys there.

Almost everyone in the gang was there, Aiden, Rafer, Drake and Jane were on the long couch while Mike, Greg and Grey were on the floor, and Shane was on the two sitter with Ethan, Alex and Sean were each on an arm chair. They were watching a movie as they talked amongst each other. "Hey-"

Jake started, but was cut off by gun shots coming through the glass window just beside me. I quickly ducked and Jake did as well. The rest quickly squatted down from the chairs, and Aiden lifted the cushions of the long couch. Guns of different sizes were there, and they started taking them.

Jake glanced at me, "Let's go test out what you learnt today, baby doll."

He turned back to the front and ran to the couch with guns, still bent over. I quickly ran after him as more shots came through the window. I reached the couch just as Jake did, and he handed me a silver semi automatic handgun just like the one that we practiced with.

I took it from him, and he picked up two of the semi automatics in each hand. He looked at Aiden who nodded, and looked at the rest. "You guys know what to do, hide as you shoot back, and make sure not to get shot. Max," Aiden looked at me as the others nodded to his command. "Stick to Jake and try not to get hurt."

"Okay." I replied, nodding.

"Alright, everyone. Let's go." Aiden whispered, and they all started running to the doors and windows, but in a bent over position.

Jake looked at me, "Follow me."

"Okay." He took off to the window that they started firing the shots, and I went to squat beside him. He peaked out the window then quickly pulled up his guns over the window sill, and started shooting.

Jake quickly pulled back, and squatted down as more shots came through the window. I didn't know what to do because I have never been in such a situation before. I was also not as skilled as Jake to start shooting through a window.

Suddenly men started jumping through the broken glass windows, and started shooting around. One jumped through our window and I realized that it was Kane. He raised his gun, ready to shoot Jake, but he stood up in a rush and kicked the gun out of Kane's hand.

Kane looked angrier as he glanced at his now empty gun. He threw a punch towards Jake, but he dodged, and threw his own punch at his jaw which didn't miss. As I watched them fight, I realized that I should be helpful and help the gang, help Jake. I ran towards Kane and kicked out his legs from under him from behind.

Kane fell on the ground and whipped his head around towards me. He growled at me as his teeth looked sharp than they were. He turned back to Jake as he was about to kick him. As he saw that, he rolled over to miss it. Jake's foot landed on the ground and he winced.

Kane got on all fours as he growled at us, and in front of our very eyes, we witnessed something unimaginable. Kane's head elongated as his body also became longer and fur sprouted from his skin. His hands and legs turned into a wolf,s legs. He was turning into a wolf.

Jake and I were so shocked at what we were witnessing that we stood still as we watched him change. As soon as the change was over, Kane's wolf ran towards me, barring sharp canines. I was too shocked to move, and just as he was about to jump on top of me, Jake ran in front of me.

Kane's wolf clamped his teeth down on Jake's shoulder, angry that he had interfered. Jake had just risked his life to save me, I felt my heart constrict at that thought. I couldn't let Kane hurt him.
