Chapter 103: Chapter 103
Jake looked at me and a small smile touched his lips as our eyes connected. Alpha Young's voice pulled our eyes away from each other and to him. "It's dinner time already, so to dinner."
He was looking at his Rolex wrist watch and after he said that statement, he dropped his arm back to his side. Murmurs of agreement were heard from our friends and the Beta and Gamma. Jake nodded, "Okay, let's go."
"Lead the way." I said as we waited for him to show us the way.
He started towards a hall way opposite to where we were standing and His Luna, Beta and Gamma walked closely behind him. But Jake, me, Jane, Sean, Shane, Abbey, Mike and Alex followed behind them with Jake and I leading.
The hall way was lined left and right with expensive art on the wall. It was truly amazing how super rich people spend so much money on splattered paints that is called art. Anyone could just mix a bunch of colors and paint them and people would buy it as long as they've got connection.
Look at that time when a girl used a selotape to tape a banana to a wall or was it a board and so many crazy rich people bought it at a high price. That girl made so much money from only taping a banana. Maybe I should I try that to become rich and famous. Not that I need the money.
We were like middle class rich, Jake was rich rich and Alpha Young was crazy rich. Crazy how rich is being classified so much when poor is just poor. Alright, enough with my ranting. So we soon turned a corner and a dining room appeared with all the people that we saw inside the mansion and more.
Adults were now among the young people and the warriors were also mostly adults. However, I didn't see a single person over fifty years of age. Did werewolves have slowed aging as vampires do inside movies? It was either that or Alpha Young just didn't have old people in his pack and it was new.
There were two long dining tables that they were all already sitting at, and they stood up when they saw us. Alpha Young made his way to the head of one table together with his Luna, Beta and Gamma. He glanced at Jake and I as he pointed at the empty head of the table.
"Please take your seats there as our new Alpha and Luna with our new pack members. After dinner, we will discuss when to sign official documents to show our agreement to be partners and merge our packs."
"Cool, sounds good." Jake replied, and I nodded, "Fine with me."
We walked to the head of the other dining table where there were two chairs just as the other dining table. Jake waited for me to sit on the left and he sat on the right. Our friends waited until not only us, but Alpha Young and Luna Grace to sit down before the walked to the only empty chairs at the end of our dining table and sat down.
The Beta and Gamma sat down next then rest of the pack all at once. It seemed as though it was something that they did every day at dinner. Jake glanced at me with a smirk as he asked, "So what are you thinking about the pack?"
I gave him a small smile, "I am thinking that it's really great and definitely awesome, especially the pool and the training room."
"Yeah, they're pretty cool. I like the training room best. Would be even cooler after the shooting targets are installed."
I chuckled softly, "I knew that you'll like it more since you are after all our best shooter."
He let out a deep chuckle as well as he stared at me. Soon it died down, and he was looking into my eyes while I was looking into his. I felt the pull of the mate bond drawing us closer to each other and reminding me that we still haven't completed the mating process.
I could feel my wolf whining for us to continue and Jake's feelings towards me. Love, want, need. Our faces started moving closer without our control, but the sound of soft and loud footsteps made us both snap out of it and turn to the door.
We saw that the footsteps belonged to around two young women and four men chefs. I realized that they had walked out through a white door which must have been the kitchen. Each of their hands was carrying two plates of steaming, sweet scenting food.
They split into two groups and three went to Alpha Young and Luna Grace while the other three came to Jake and I. They placed one plate in front of Jake and I before moving on to the pack members closest to us. Then made their way down the table and went back to the kitchen when there were no more plates in their hands.
I assumed that they were going to get more plates of food for the other pack members and our friends. I glanced at the food in front of me and felt my mouth water. It was a type of foreign fried rice that was garnished with vegetables and sausages, a potato salad was on the side, shredded chicken sauce and a chocolate pudding on a little bowl on the plate.
If this was how they ate dinner every day then I never wanna leave. They had a main course, appertizer of two kinds and even a desert. I was sure that even those that didn't know about food like I did or knew how to cook would appreciate how it was well made. I picked up my spoon and dug in.
As I started eating, the chicken sauce got on my lips so I licked my lips twice to get it all off. That was when I felt a hot gaze on me. I looked up to the direction I felt it and saw Jake. He was looking at me heatedly with his hazel eyes darkened with want as he stared at my lips.
He moved his gaze up to my eyes as he murmured, "I can't wait to get you alone again."
I felt my face heat up at his implication, and I bit my lower lip subconsciously. His gaze moved back down to my lips again and his eyes turned darker. He moved his eyes back to mine as he murmured, "Don't tease me, baby doll or we'll give our new pack members a show."
My heated farther as butterflies fluttered in my tummy. Even though I would love to make out with him and do more intimate stuff, but I definitely didn't want to do it in front of all these people. That wouldn't say much about us being good leaders or help us in earning their respect when we act like horny teens which we were.
I released my bottom lip from in between my teeth and nodded, "I will hold you to your words as soon as we reach home."
