Chapter 42: Chapter 42

Terry's pov:

We run the border a bit until we think it is dark enough out and head to where we dropped the ropes off. I look up to see how much more time we have before the moon is high up in the sky and would give too much light for us to continue. I know we just had to pick a night when the moon would be full, but hey nothing like a little bit of adventure.

We pick the rope up and start tying them together making it as long as we can. I sure hope we have enough rope, I know it want get us all the way up to the top but surely it will be enough to get us to clear the fog.

We get done tying the rope together and then tie one end to a tree as close to the ground to keep it hidden and then the other end to me. The plan is for them to follow me when the rope runs out and I can't go any further. I look up and close my eyes and pray to the moon goddess to protect us on this night.

I take in a deep breath and let it out and say "well here goes nothing." I start to head in to the tree line and I am enveloped in the fog automatically. I cannot even see my hand in front of my face and all of a sudden I hear a female’s voice say "hey."

What the crap is a female doing in these woods. It does not sound like Chrystal. My heart starts racing I feel like it is vibrating in this forest right now. How can a female be in here, I can't see crap? Is this one of the creatures that comes and kills anyone who dares to enter this forest? I start to back up out of the forest then I stepped on a stick.

"Sssh quiet. I am here to get you to the top"

"Who are you? And why should I trust you?"

"My name is Kimmie I am a friend of Chrystal's we meet this morning in town"

I stop and think back to this morning and then I start to recognize the voice "oh yea you are the one that told me to put a muzzle on my gamma Bryar"

"Yea about that I am sorry but he was rude. Oh and his name is Bryar, nice."

Before I could say anything else she started to pull the rest of the rope through. Once it was all the way through I could just barely make out one of my friends coming in.

"Grab him and tell him to grab the next until you are all in. Now hurry we do not have much time before the spell starts to weaken I need to get up top and help Chrystal with the spell."

"What spell, are you using magic on us?" I say angrily

"No it is a spell to clear a path for you and to keep you guy's from being lost in the eternity of darkness. Now either hurry up or get out Chrystal is up there by herself and I can feel she is getting tired she needs me. This is a very powerful spell we are going against her granny"

She doesn't have to tell me twice I grab who ever hand just came through and told him to grab the next and to tell the next to do the same. We are finally all in and I turn to her and say now what.

"Keep the rope around you until you run out and then tie it to the closet tree then head the rest of the way up. Tabitha will help you the rest of the way I have to go."

With that she was gone, I mean literally like into this air disappeared.

I take a deep breath and look at the guys and say come on. We start walking up the mountain then another female’s voice rang out "hold up guys they are not quite ready. Chrystal will mind link me when Kimmie gets up there to help her"

Now where the heck did that voice come from? I still cannot see two feet in front of my face right now. We wait a bit and then I can see the fog separating giving us a path to follow. It is not a wide path but I guess this fog is one powerful spell. I heard her granny was one powerful witch I guess the rumors are right.

We start up the mountain then I hear rustling in the trees and a female jumps down in front of us.

She bows her head and says "alpha"

I can hear Chris growl behind me and I watch her blush. Like really people now is not the time. I clear my throat and she looks at me and I say "now what"

"Sorry alpha. My name is Tabitha and I will be your guide. Follow me please and stay on the path do not go anywhere near the fog once in there you cannot get out"

I nod my head and tell her "lead the way then." She takes one more look at Chris then turns around and leads us up the mountain.

We get further up the hill and I start to hear music. My heart starts pounding faster and I can feel my adrenaline pumping in my veins. I know I am getting closer to my mate. I can feel Dakota running circles in my mind from his excitement. I knew it Chrystal is my mate how lucky am I to have a mate as sweet and beautiful as she is. Maybe I will get the chance to dance with her.

"You dance right when have you danced" Dakota says laughing in my head

"Okay I don't dance but I don't care if I just stand there with her while she dances as long as I am near her." I say angrily at him.

I can feel we are getting closer. The music is getting louder the higher we keep going.
