Chapter 62: Chapter 62
Izzy, Elizabeth, Frank, etc... Were so excited to see me back home. I thought I will never see them again!.
Mum couldn't get enough of me. It became very impossible to leave her side even for a second, without creating an alarm.
I told them everything I had to tell them, all that had happened.

A week later,
Andrew POV ¶¶
I was been discharged!.
I finally got back home to my normal life!.
At home,
"Darling, I came as fast as I could. Oh, I am really sorry baby!."
Melissa clarified
Melissa had just landed in the country to see me!. It wasn't exciting to see her as it used to be.
I careless, about anything she said to me since her arrival. I effortlessly got lost into my thoughts.
"Baby, my flight was so exhausting. I dislike the dude who sat next to me, very disgusting!."
She explained.
I didn't say anything. I saw her lips wiggling but didn't get any sound.
"When I heard, you had an accident, I couldn't doze anymore. All I could think about is you. I hope you are feeling well now?."
She asked.
She bent her head, plopped her forehead into her hands very discouraged. I still didn't notice, so I said nothing.
"Andrew!"
She raised her voice.
"Andrew, you aren't listening to me. And you know, I hate this attitude!."
She yelled.
I cluelessly shuddered then, got back into my senses.
"What were you saying?."
I immediately asked back just to please her as usual,
"Never mind!. How are you feeling?."
She kindly retorted again, lowering her voice.
"Better!."
I stated.
"What really happened?."
She asked, yearning for some good explanation.
"Nothing!."
I stated. Without any second thought.
"Nothing Andrew?!. Nothing and you were shot?!. You certainly need some rest!."
Melissa stated, with that, she withdrew herself angrily.
I thought she will never leave!.
"What is going wrong with me!."
I couldn't get Grace out of my mind!. A girl, I barely recalled the name.
How could this be?.

Grace's POV ¶¶
I sat down, took a deep breath, facing her straight up.
I knew she won't abide by what I had to tell her.
"Mum, I have called at my office and I am commencing work tomorrow!."
I explained anxiously, I needed to feel alive.
She rolled her eyes severally trying to figure out what was awry with me!.
"Are you out of your senses?. No, you won't commence work tomorrow, you need to rest. In fact, we are going back home together. You will resume work, in your father's firm!."
My mum ordered.
"No, mum!. You can dictate my life, just because I was a victim of circumstances!. And you know dad and I can't understand each other!."
I tried explaining
She acted like she never heard what I said to her.
"I hope you are done with your online master's degree. Because you need this to get a high role at the firm. Also, one piece of advice if possible, continue schooling till you get your Ph.D.!. It will be great for you and a good example for your younger brother!."
My mum spoke calmly while manipulating her phone.
My words meant nothing to her!.
My opinion... oh sorry. What the meaning of opinion again!. Because this word meant nothing to my mother.
"I won't follow you back home!. I am a grown-up and I make all the decisions concerning my life by myself!. And I will love you to respect that!."
I raised my voice
She stood up staring at me angrily, strolling around me, this made me very uncomfortable.
"Decisions which nearly cost you your life, if I may say!. If I wasn't around, what would have become of you?. Grown-up, you say!. Haha, children when will you ever listen to your parents!."
My mum yelled back
"I knew it!. I knew you will always bring this to the slab. This is one of the reasons I will never open up to you."
I weakly mumbled
She is supposed to be my mother, keep my secrets not using them against me or manipulate me at any least opportunity. Parents cover their children's errors.
"Okay. Okay, mum!. I am sorry for all the wrong I cause you and all that you did for me, and I am absolutely grateful!. But this is my life, not yours I will always do what I feel it's right for me!."
I clarified in a low tune
"My words still stand!. You are following me home."
My mum insisted, with that she left.
"I hate this!."
I shot the wall.
"This is why I love you, sister, you always do what you wish!. It's true, it doesn't always please mum but she needs to understand!."
Frank explain his admiration for my embargos.
"Haha, thanks!.... So Frank admires me!. Wow!."
I mumbled dumbly
"I never said so!."
He retorted
"You just did!."
I insisted.
