"Good morning, hope you are seriously working on what I left. Anyway, I want to let you know some investors are coming, make sure you convince them to invest. The owner of the company Mr.Micheal has an investigative plan and he is counting on that wealth. We are all counting on you. We are speaking about 7 digits investment in dollars. Don't disgrace me!."

My boss said.

I got frightened because I had never convinced anyone in my life.

"Sir, this isn't part of my work. I don't think I will be able to convince them. The task is too much for me to get it well done. Please ask someone else to brandish the negotiations, Sir."

I explained that clearly.

"Grace, Grace, you know, I admire you so much and I think you have a good potential, so make good use of it. And remember the success of this venture will determine the rest of your future with us".

My Boss explained.

"So if I don't succeed then I will be fired?!. But why tell me now."

I got stunned.

"No one said that, and make sure you achieve this small task. Just be pragmatic, because they are already interested in investing. Have a nice day. I will be waiting for your call to get their final decision. Also, make sure you look good and sexy as usual, that can play on your path."

My boss said.

I had known choices than to accept the challenge with great hopes. I was also very excited to hear that the owner of our company knew about me and he was counting on me because he had so many staff. But that made me worried too...

I had only a few hours left for the meeting.

"Please you will finish this without me. I have to leave for the library. The boss just announced to me that I will clench the meeting this afternoon with the investors."

I said to the Secretary we were almost done with the pile of work.

"Wow!. What a great opportunity!."

She exclaimed with a shock like everyone another person in the building that day.

So I left the office straight to the library to get a few guides on how the agreement should look like.

"She isn't experienced!. She won't succeed!. Why her!. That isn't fair for her superiors!. She will jeopardize every we have been working hard for!."

People murmured at the corridor, in the side of the bureaus.

I kept my head firm add passed unaffected, anyway, that is what I made them all believe and it worked.

I was over carried off by the whole situation itself that I had no energy to mind what people said behind my back. I wasn't the cause of the situation. It just happened that I was been chosen by the boss, I didn't betray anyone. I wasn't expecting it as well.

Everyone wished me "bad luck".

On my way to the library, I saw James, he gave me a weird look and he moved toward me.

" I heard you are attaining the meeting this afternoon as the boss, wow!. What an improvement. Do you know what I think of all this?!."

James asked me.

I kept on moving.

The library was down in the archive room.

"I don't care about what you think James, I am as shocked as you are. But what is the big deal here!."

I exclaimed.

"Go and fool others not me. I know you so well, you use others to get what you want, then you throw them when you get what you want..."...

James explained

As he was talking I got lost in what he said, I cut off his long speech.

"What does that got to do here?!. What are you saying!."

I asked

"All that I am trying to say is that you are a bitch and sex addict and I am sure you have slept with the boss to get all these favors from him. And you and I know how good you are in bed. You are classified as a prostitute for me. How many times have you slept with him to get all this?!."

Jame kept on talking and talking until I couldn't take his insults anymore. I unexpectedly turned and gave him a huge slap on his face, the echo of the slap was so loud that everyone heard.

They all looked at me with much more hatred. I had no friends in that company but everyone loved the hard-working and helpful James. I drew the battle line.

"It won't last long bitch, he will soon realize his mistake and I will be right here to watch your plunge after a few days of your stop reign."

Jame held my arm painfully, I couldn't move and he whispered in my ears.

After speaking he released me. We were in front of the lifter. The door opened and I immediately entered. He stared at me with much anger.

As the lifter was wrapping up, I lifted my finger and I said: "Fuck you!" then the door shutdown.
