Ellie ran as fast as her legs could carry her.

Why was she feeling so much pain?

Isn't this some kind of infatuation? Maybe to some people it is but to her, it isn't.

Then suddenly she screeched to an halt as if she was trying to prevent herself from colliding with something or rather someone.

“Seems you were having a great with Jake after you succeeded in getting he and Jayson into the detention room.” Shawna's voice said in the dark.

Then she came into light and Ellie stared at her.

“I wasn’t the one that got them into trouble.” Ellie explained.

“But you went there with them or is it a coincidence that the three of you were sent to the detention room.” Shawna said and stepped forward.

“I..” A slap on Ellie's face cut her off.

“Keep quiet and remember this, stay away from them especially Jayson.” Shawna warned her and left.

Ellie rubbed the place that she had been hit. It was blowing damn hot.

She walked to the dormitory with another roll of tears falling off her face.

‘Why was life so unfair to her?’

“Was thinking you won't come back.” Elsa said as soon as Ellie entered their room.

Ellie did not reply and went ahead to pull off her clothes.

“I told you several times to stop your infatuation for Jayson but you did not listen, now see, you got into trouble I guess because of staring at him during class.” Elsa said but got no reply.

Ellie gently pulled out a towel and marched into the bathroom.

“What is with the attitude?” Elsa thought.

Jake walked over to the dormitory. He opened the door and slammed it shut making the three guys that were inside flinch in fear.

“Oh boy, do you want to kill me?” Jace asked while holding his chest.

“Hey, be careful, gosh, I was so scared.” Jeremy said trying to regulate his breath.

“Where is Jayson?” Jake asked.

“He went outside a while ago.” Jace said.

“Oh, okay.” Jake said.

“I can’t believe this, I mean you and Jayson were sent to the detention room.” Jasper said.

“It is ridiculous.” Jace chided in.

“You guys are getting distracted.” Jeremy said.

Jake did not reply them as he trying to get his head to process everything that happened this night.

‘Why was she so angry when she saw Jayson and her sister together?’

‘Could she be in love with him?’

These were the thoughts infiltrating his mind.

“Oh man, you are back.” Jace said as he looked up.

Jayson looked around and saw Jake.

“Hey, where did you go? I went to search for you.” Jayson said to Jake as he took his seat.

“Search for me or for the new student in our class?” Jake spat.

“I was coming to get you when I saw her seated outside so I decided to get her to talk to me at least but she just gave me a rude reply and left.” Jayson explained.

“Wait, don’t tell me the both of you are in love with the new set of twins that resumed a week ago.” Jeremy asked in surprise.

They looked at him and shook their heads at his stupidity. Jace chuckled.

“He means, take a look, Shawna has been with us since the beginning but these new set of twins just came this term and both of you are already after them.” Jace went on to explain.

“If it is not love then what is it?” Jeremy asked.

They looked with uncertainty written all over their face.

‘I just need a friend and she appeared to be the best option.’ Jayson thought inwardly.

‘I find her familiar and strangely attracted to her but I am not in love with her.’ Jake thought.

They were both immersed in their own disturbing thoughts.

“Hey, Jace, take a look at this girl.” Jeremy said as he brought his phone closer to Jace.

“Wow, so sexy.” Jace said and licked his lips.

“Link up with her.”

Jasper scoffed at the both of them and stood up.

“Goodnight.” He said and exited the room.

**Next morning**

“Hey, Ellie, what is with the attitude?” Elsa asked. Ellie turned to look at her.

“What attitude?” Ellie asked and stared at her blankly.

“I have been talking to you but you don’t reply.” Elsa complained.

“The last time I checked, you were always unresponsive whenever I talk so what?” Ellie spat angrily.

“Ellie, what happened?” Elsa asked but got no reply.

She sighed and trailed behind her.

“Hey, babes.” They heard Julia call from behind. They stopped and looked back.

“Hey, Ellie.” Julia said but Ellie stared at her blankly.

“What’s up?” She asked when she saw that no one was replying her.

“Nothing.” Elsa said unconcerned.

“Ellie, I heard you were detained yesterday..” Julia was still talking when Ellie cut her off.

“Thank you but I don’t need the pity.” Ellie said.

Julia smiled and said,

“I am not feeling pity for you, just that I missed you.”

Ellie stopped walking and looked at her.

“You missed me?” She asked as she raised her eyebrows.

Julia nodded positively.

Ellie sighed and started walking towards the class.

“What’s wrong with her?” Julia asked Elsa.

“Don't know. Maybe because Jayson was the reason she got detained.” Elsa said.

“Really??” Julia asked.

“Yeah.” Elsa replied.

“What class do you have first?” Julia asked.

“Chemistry.” Elsa said going through her time table.

“Okay, not like I am in your grade.” Julia said and Elsa chuckled.

“Hey, Ellie.” She heard a very familiar voice call her from behind. She sighed and stopped walking.

“Hey, I have been calling you.” Jake said as he ran towards her.

“Hi, I am sorry for yelling at you yesterday. Lost my cool.” She said apologising.

He smiled and said,

“Hey, it is nothing.” Jake said and smiled.

“So will you love to have lunch with me?” He asked hoping she will accept.

“Hmm.. I.. Erm..” She was uncertain.

“Hey.” Jake said.

“Not forcing you.” He said and smiled.

“But we can be friends?” He asked.

She looked up to him and nodded.

He smiled widely showing his cute dimples.
