Chapter 50: Chapter 50
He smiled gently.
“Thanks.” He muttered and collected it from Ellie.
“Congratulations.” She said smiling.
“Thanks.” He said again as he drank more water.
“Will leave you to rest.” She said and left in her cheerleading outfit. Jake walked over to Jayson and they shook hands.
“Congratulations to us.” Jake said and sat down beside him.
“Yeah.” Jayson said and they both looked at how the entire school was happy.

Mark stood there trembling in anger. He did not expect that last collab between Jayson and Christian. He never did. The thought never came across his mind.
“Foolish.” He kicked his leg against something angrily and walked away.

“Congratulations, Jake.” Crystal said. Jake turned towards her and smiled.
“Thanks and thanks to you also for cheering me.” He said politely. A blush crept on her cheeks.
“It is nothing.” She replied and walked off happily.
“Jayson, congratulations.” Shawna praised him. He looked away from her and ignored her.
“I am tired as fvck. I really need to rest. Jake, see you later.” He said, packing his things and walking out on Shawna. Jake seeing this also stood up and jogged towards Jayson. Shawna stood there with a bitter smile and blinked back the tears that were beginning to form.
She swallowed lightly and exhaled.

“Hey, Jake.” Ellie called out as she and Crystal walked over to him.
“Congratulations, you played quite well.” She said with a smile. His lips formed a smile.
“Thanks.” He said and smiled at Crystal.
“Bye. See you later.” They chorused and jogged off. Aria stood afar staring at them. She blinked her eyes and walked away.

Christian walked tiredly towards his dorm and pushed the door open. He walked into his room and slumped on the bed.
“Never knew you could support Jayson.” Mark said. Christian flinched but calm down when he saw it was Mark.
“Has anyone ever told you that you are creepy?” He asked and scoffed. Mark chuckled and walked to him. He stood before him with his hands his pockets.
“I said I did not know you could support Jayson the way you did today.” Mark said again.
“I did not support him. I only did it for my team and nothing else. And besides, what is your problem with them? I mean like, since I came, you have been trying to instigate me against the guys. What exactly have they done to you?” He asked. He was bored of his talks about the J-Stars.
“Ever since they stepped their foots into this school, nothing has ever been the same. Girls only love and gush over them. They are the only one that represents the school each fvcking time.” Mark spat angrily.
“If I were you, I wouldn’t keep hating on them. Instead I will work on myself.” Christian said and shrugged. Mark looked at him and said, “only when they take what is yours will you understand.” He patted his shoulders.
“I am quite hungry.” He said, rubbing his belly.
“Off to the café.” He announced leaving Christian to think about what he said. Well, Christian who seemed to be tired disregarded it and laid back on the bed. It did not take up to ten minutes that he dozed off.
**At Night**
“Wow. That basketball game was filled with suspense, you know.” Ellie commented as she cleansed her face. Elsa looked up from the book she was reading.
“Yeah. It really was.” She agreed which was very unusual. Ellie swerved her head to her direction and stared at her for some time. Elsa hissed out and shook her head. Ellie blinked her eyes.
“Like did you just say something about the game?” She asked, not believing her ears.
“The Elsa I know will be like ‘I don’t give a damn'.” She mimicked her. Elsa shook her head and continued reading the book that was in her hands.
“Can you tell me what is going on between you and Christian?” Ellie asked after a brief silence. Elsa's eyes looked away from the book but she did not look up. She cleared her throat and continued reading.
“Elsa? I asked you a question.” Ellie said as she rubbed the lotion on her skin.
“Ellie, I know you once had a crush on him but what is with your incessant questions about my relationship with him?” Elsa asked.
“So you are trying to tell me that guys don’t desire me. Like you are prettier than me. Like first, it was Christian and It is Jayson, right? Is that what you are saying?” Ellie asked. She was pained by what she said, no doubt.
“What I am trying to say is that stop asking me about him. I don’t want to hear anything about him.” Elsa said.
“You are now ex?” Ellie asked surprised.
Elsa did not answer but stood up and left for the bathroom. Ellie burst out laughing.
“You are no longer Christian's girlfriend.” She mocked her.
“Now, I see why you are always aggressive towards him.” Ellie said shaking her head.
“Tell me, who broke up with who?” She yelled over. Elsa hissed out and flushed then she came out with an angry face.
“Do you know that you are annoying?” She asked Ellie.
“Well, you tell me that almost every fvcking time so yes, I know that I am annoying.” Ellie said and went to her bed.
“What happened?” Ellie asked.
“Whatever happened is none of your business.” Elsa said rudely and tossed the book on her shelf. She laid on the bed and turned her back against her sister. Ellie giggled at her behavior.
“You know one thing I still don’t get is why people like you so much.” She thought sadly.
“I always try my best to make people I move with happy and also make sure they do not leave me but you without any effort, they just get drawn to you.” She lamented in her thoughts.
Soon her eyes started closing, she fought so hard to keep them open but failed miserably. She soon gave in and rolled over to the other side.
“Good night.” She muttered. Elsa heard the shuffling of some things. She turned over to see that her sister had already slept. Tears rolled down her eyes as she tried to blink them back.
It hurts.
