LUCA …..

When I asked Lauren to become my girlfriend I was dead serious because I like her. But when I realised that It was too early so I changed the topic and said I was kidding with her.

I saw her in Phoenix a long time ago when I used to live there with my parents. She doesn't remember me. She was standing under the bus station waiting for her bus while it was raining heavily. I asked her to drop her at her place. She hesitated at first but when she got her son’s call she agreed to come with me as her son was scared of thunder strikes.

Her shirt got soaked in rain so I landed her my jacket so she could put that on over her wet shirt. She looked worried sick. Due to heavy rainfall it became hard to drive. Still I managed to drop her at her house.

“Thank you so much, sir. I will always be grateful to you.” Bowing her head she thanked me and ran inside the building with my jacket on. I kept looking at her from my car with a smile on my face. That night she stole my heart without her knowledge.

I waited there every night to find her but after that night I never saw her. Then after years I saw her before my apartment in San Francisco. I was shocked but happy from inside. I used every opportunity to be with her most of the time. And I was happy when her heartbeat spiked up while we were close to each other.

I hope I can win her heart and make her mine forever. I got ready to go to her place for breakfast. Then I will take Alex to the training center. I was glad that Alex got along with me pretty fast. I didn't expect to become close with him so soon. But it's better for me.

“Good morning champ.” I ruffled his hair and he glared at me.

“I told you that I hate it when someone touches my hair.” Alex whined and I laughed.

“And I told you that I loved to tease you.” I pulled his cheek and he huffed annoyingly.

“I'm letting you go because you are my favorite. Let's go, Mamma is waiting for you. She had made your favorite breakfast. Avocado toast with bacon and eggs.” He said grinning and I raised my brow at him.

She made my favorite breakfast!

But why!

Shall I count it as progress?

“Let's go.” I followed Alex to the dining table and the smell of bacon hit my nostrils making my mouth watered.

“What's going on? Someone had made my favorite breakfast?” I spoke, catching her attention. She looked up at me and I walked near her to whisper something in her ear.

“Don't tell me you fall in love with my body and want to have a piece of me. So you want to impress me with food. As there is a saying, ‘The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.’ Are you trying to win my heart?”

I pulled away from her and looked at her with a mischievous smirk on my lips and I found her face becoming red as tomatoes.

“What happened to you, Lauren? Are you feeling unwell? Why does your face become so red?” I was holding back my laugh. It was fun to tease her.

She immediately palmed her cheeks. And glared at me. “If you want food then stop teasing me. Or I will throw you out.” Saying that she settled on her seat and I bit my cheeks to control my laugh.

“Are you feeling unwell Mom? Your face is all red.” Alex asked his Mom with concern and I covered my mouth with my fist to control my laugh. Lauren again glared at me.

“No, I'm fine. I came from heat so my face became red. It will be fine soon. Don't worry. Start eating.” Alex nodded his head and started eating.

While eating I caressed her bare leg with mine, making her eyes go wide. “What are you doing?” She mouthed making sure Alex wasn't looking at us. I just winked at her and continued eating. I had teased her a lot at the dining table.

“Alex, from now on you will be going with Uncle Luca in the training center. Then I will drop you at your school.”

“Okay, Mamma.” He waved his hand at his Mom before leaving with me and I flew a flying kiss towards her. She gave me an unbelievable look and I laughed.

After dinner Alex asked me to play video games with him. We played for almost two hours. Then I helped him with his studies, and after one hour he fell asleep on the table when I went to the toilet. Tucking him in bed I came out of his room to find the living room empty. I understood Lauren went to her room. She never let me get into her room. So it was the perfect opportunity for me to see her room.

Twisting the handle I peeped inside her room to find her looking at a photograph. Curiosity got the better of me and I couldn't help and get inside her room. Sensing my presence she looked up at me. Her eyes went wide when he saw before me. She thought it's Alex.

“What are you doing here?” She got up abruptly, hiding the photo under the pillow. My attention was solely on the photo. I wanted to see what's in that photo. What if it's someone she loves.

“Alex fell asleep. You were outside so I came to say that I'm leaving.” I told her.

“Okay, thanks for the help. You can go now.” I reached near her with two long strides and before she could understand my intention, I pulled out the photo from under her pillow. Her eyes went wide.

“What the hell!”

“Give it back to me.” She tried to snatch the photo from my hand but I held it high from her reach.

“Why? You got some naked photos that you can't show?” I asked and she glared at me.

“You are so annoying, Luca. Give it back right now.” She hit my chest pretty hard but I didn't give it back. While she was trying to get it back from my hand she didn't realize how close she was standing against me.

“Do you realise what you are doing to me?” She stopped moving and looked at me with a grown in her face. But then her eyes went wide and she backed away to look down at me. And I closed my eyes while holding back my laugh.

She was looking so adorable that I felt like kissing her right away. But I had to hold myself back. I can't rush such matters. I have to take it slowly. It was the opportunity to look at the photo in my hand and my heart sank to see her with a guy standing so close in the photo. And I knew the guy too. He was the last person I wanted to see again. I hate him with every ounce of my body.

“Who is this guy?” I asked her pointing at the photo. And she snatched it from my hand quickly.

“That's none of your business. Don't touch my personal things. And I'm warning you. Never ever enter my room again. It's the last warning.” Her words hurt me but I didn't say anything to her and just turned around then left her home.
