Chapter 79: Chapter 79

Sydney’s POV:

Both powers collided at the moment. Two of the guards came forward when Iam fighting against Dorothy. I didn’t even notice them before. Noah blocked one of them and fought to protect me. On the other side, Amelia charged forward towards the other guard. The guards are looking like some evil gods and much stronger to fight.

I concentrated all my power to defeat Dorothy. It’s been a long time since I feel my power inside me. How can I give up such a special power to get out of hell? There are always many ways to get whatever we want. I may still have many possibilities. Losing my power isn’t the right choice. I will fight until I get what I want.

Suddenly, I heard a growl coming from one step next to me. All I can guess is Amelia turned into a wolf to fight with them. Mason and Phoebe went each step behind by protecting themselves. First of all, they don’t need to worry about their life. They won’t be affected or harmed like us. It’s both an advantage and a disadvantage.

“Stop it, Everyone,” I heard Lilith’s commanding voice loudly. She lifted both her arms and bright fire-like light left her palms and hit the ceiling. The large chandelier broke into million pieces before it hit the floor. We all ran out of the path and tried to protect our heads just with our hands.

I closed my eyes shut till there’s no noise in the hall. No one uttered a word.

“This isn’t a place to have your meaningless fight,” Lilith shouted. I can’t argue like pointing my hands at Dorothy and say ‘She started it’.

“What’s your final decision? Are you going to let us go or not?” I asked bravely. If Lilith gets angry at my disrespectful attitude, I can’t do anything about that. I can’t make her happy or make her take sides with me. It can only be done if I lose my power. I can rather be her enemy that does whatever she says.

“You are not getting out of here. To be exact, you are all going to prison forever. You are going to learn the meaning of ‘rot in hell’,” she said with a smirk.

“Why do you think I lost my power if you are not going to let us out? I want my power back.” Noah argued for himself.

“That’s not possible. Once done, it won’t be redone.” she stubbornly said.

“Nothing is fair here. You are a liar,” Amelia snapped and as the Queen raised her temper.

“You can’t expect a fair deal. Where do you think you are? I am not a Queen of heaven to behave fairly.”

“Take them to the cell,” she ordered to the guards. Before the guards took one step towards us, I said something which I never planned to say.

“I want to have a dual with you. If you win, we will do anything you say. If you lose, you need to do anything we wanted without a complaint,” I said and realized how stupid I sound. How can I fight a Queen of hell by myself? I may be powerful but I don’t think I can be equal to Lilith. I can’t even count how many years she lived. This is getting weird and weirder.

“Seriously, you got some courage, girl. But it is useless,” Dorothy laughed. Lilith raised her hand and silenced Dorothy.

“I accept your challenge.”

“Are you serious, Queen? She is just a sixteen years old girl. She can’t fight you. She’s just good in her words. You can’t fight with someone who’s not equal to your level,” Dorothy advised her.

“I know what to do. She may not look powerful but she has every special power in her. You are powerful and she’s from the same bloodline. Don’t forget that.” Lilith told her.

“How can I know whether the fight will be fair or not? You betrayed Noah by taking his power and not giving anything in return. How can I trust you?” I questioned her. My respect for the Queen is decreasing with each word Iam letting out.

“I didn’t betray your friend. I got his power and helped him to get you back from prison. Iam still good at promises. When it comes to the dual, you can’t beat me in the first place. If you did, that means Iam less powerful than you. The probability for you to win is less. So, you can blindly trust me,” she told me. I am still not ready to trust anyone. But right now, I need to find a way to defeat her. If I could do that, there won’t be any problem on my way.

“Don’t agree to it, Sydney. You are getting yourself into some extremely dangerous situation.” Noah warned me silently. I can feel him and Amelia praying that I shouldn’t agree to it.

“I agree with it. When can we have the dual?” I asked with confidence.

“Nooooooo. Don’t do that, Sydney. Iam here.” I heard a very familiar voice. A voice that makes me want to cry. I turned back to face my aunt Lydia.

“Aunt, how...how” I stuttered and my eyes wandered over to the person next to her. Kassidy and Jacen.

Jacen...

I can’t even remember the last time I have seen him. I missed him. I thought getting out of hell is the first thing I ever wanted. But getting Jacen back is much better than anything. I got one small thought on my mind that I can stay in hell if Jacen is here with me. Everyone around him seems blurry to me. I can only concentrate on him. Only him.

The next moment I was running in his direction. I thought I will hug my aunt and say that I forgive her. But all I did at the moment is run into Jacen’s arms.

I ran into his arms. The moment our body touched; my lips crashed into his lips. This is the moment I feel alive.
