Chapter 15: Chapter 15
CHERRY'S POV
I'm so exhausted, I have been working for 9 hours straight and we have just 3 rooms left to complete our target for today.
My girls are with me designing the inside while the boys decided to do the outside decorations.
Suddenly I feel a sharp pang of pain in my tummy, Ouch! This has to be caused by hunger, It hurts so bad.
Since I drank the coffee and ate the bagels I bought this morning, I've not eaten since, during lunch break, I told my crew to just leave and go eat while I continued decorating.
Excusing myself from my work crew, I go to the hotel's restaurant to get some lunch or should I even say dinner.
I walk into the restaurant, and select a table meant for two, being that it's early evening the place looks scanty, I can only see 7 people apart from the hotel workers.
"Ma'am, evening, what would you like served." A waiter asks me.
"Can I see the menu, or don't worry just give me some ginger tea without sugar and lasagna, with little sauce okay." I say and she nods and leaves to go get my order.
I bring out my phone and start playing some games, the waiter brings my food and she places it gently on the table, I mutter a hearty thank you and also tip her before she leaves.
Leaving the lasagna to cool a little bit, I sip a little tea and take my focus back to my game, and continue playing, intervally I keep taking little sips of my tea without being conscious of my surrounding.
Looking up, I'm startled when I see Jayson Sherman sitting on the chair beside me. I hold my chest in fear then breathes out loudly.
"Sorry, I scared you right? Well I wanted to sit here also and supervise, then I saw you over here and didn't want to sit alone. I also didn't inform you because you were so engrossed with whatever you were doing." He says and I say in reply, "it's okay, no problems."
JAYSON'S POV
I go to where Cherry is working, on getting there I don't see her and I ask her workers about her, and they tell me she has left for the restaurant.
I walk into the restaurant and I sight her easily, sitting on a table, sipping something I assume might be juice and leaving her food untouched.
Deciding to go sit with her, I gently pull the chair and sit, and still she doesn't acknowledge, or even looks up to see who is sitting.
What she's doing with her phone must be important then, I think to myself, i hear a song coming out from the phone's speaker and I realize she's playing Subway Surfers game on her mobile, so this is what has got her so engrossed.
She raises her head to look around and she spots me and gasps. I can see the shock written all over her face so I decide to explain, "Sorry, I scared you right? Well I wanted to sit here also and supervise, then i saw you over here and didn't want to sit alone. I also didn't inform you because you were so engrossed with whatever you were doing."
"It's okay, no problems." She says and I smile.
Dropping her phone, and picking up her fork and spoon to eat, we start talking when she asks me a question that I don't even know how to answer.
"So Mr Jayson, do you have a girlfriend?"
"No I don't, and enough about all these relationship talks okay." I say with a wave of my hand and she chuckles heartily.
"How did you finally struggle to get this position where you are today, miss Cherry." I say and immediately regret why I asked her that question.
She looks at me in shock, she just doesn't stop staring at me, she glances at me while staring at me from my bracelet (one the both of us had when we were younger) oh God! I think I just got caught.
CHERRY'S POV
Why will he ask me such a thing, I'm having mind blowing suspicions now because the only people that know how I survived are Jeanne and the Jayson, I know and the bracelet on his hands looks very familiar.
Like one I gave him when we were still together, "Jayson." I say and he looks at me nervously .
"Jayson!" I say again and he doesn't utter a word and I let him.
"So you are Jayson Sherman and Jayson Harris, wow just wow." I say and he gasps because he knows he has already been busted, and I start to get teary eyed.
I just can't believe this, I can't believe my eyes, "What happened to you, why did you hide your identity from me? You changed your name, your hair everything, Jay everything and yet you promised me, you said we would never grow apart, that you would always be there for me." I keep saying as hot tears start pouring down from my already swollen eyes.
I close my eyes and let the tears fall freely.
I bit my lower lip very hard as all the memories, pain, anguish, annoyance and coldness come rushing back.
JAYSON'S POV
"Cherry." I manage to say trying to touch her hands but she withdraws it and picks her bag, drops her fork and prepares to leave. I suddenly feel so guilty, I resolve not to let her go till we settle this issue. She walks by me and I grab and hold her hands tightly.
IVY'S POV
I'm walking past the streets and pass through Talia's ex boyfriend Jayson Sherman's hotel, I stand in awe marveling at the magnificent structure and at all the wealth displayed.
Looking inside the transparent glass doors I see something that catches my attentions, standing in what seems to be the hotel's restaurant I spot Jayson holding a lady's hand.
Oh is this the reason for the sudden breakup? They are both cheating on each other. Oh my! Talia needs to see this.
