Chapter 84

I was shocked at what I realized and I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to leave first and let them talk but Trevas tightened his grip on my hand when I started to move so I had no choice but to stay.

“Are you really her?” Trevas asked thoughtfully, probably also unable to believe that his mother whom he had long thought was dead was currently standing in front of him.

"Yes" Freya replied smiling, tears forming in the corner of her eye as she watched Trevas up and down. "You grew up well"

Trevas scratched his head. "Well, Father raise me well"

"He's still alive?" I was surprised by Freya's question and I'm sure Trevas was too.

“Oh, I mean, I didn't know that man would last. after all, that man was so lazy and just ate food all day. Did you know that because he grew up in the palace, he used to always have a servant so when we ran away from the palace, he didn't even know how to cook, wash or take care of the baby after he gave birth to me… ”Freya continued to complain about king henrick and what whatmore insults were said. Muang didn’t know that it was a big sin to insult a member of the royal family but what surprised me the most was Freya’s talkativeness which I didn’t think was one of her characteristics.

“Oh right, where is he anyway? Did he fight with it? Did he become a soldier like you? ” Freya asked before looking around and that's when I realized that she didn't know that king henrick had become king. Not that he did not know that insulting the king was a great crime but that he did not know that king henrick was a king.

Trevas and I looked at each other and we couldn't help but laugh when our eyes met.

Trevas and I decided to take Freya back to Beifang but we still hadn’t said anything about king henrick being king. All we said was that we were going to king henrick's place and he could come with us so that they could meet after decades of separation.

“Don’t tell me he becomes the king?” Freya suddenly asked when we were able to teleport back to Beifang palace. We are now standing in front of the courtyard where the king is staying. It's early so we probably just woke up halfway and are currently having breakfast so instead of going to the palace hall here we go.

"He did"

Freya laughed but I heard in her voice a mixture of sadness and frustration. "In the end he still married Vivian"

"Vivian is dead" Trevas said, his voice cold as if he didn't know Vivian. I can't blame her, the insults that Vivian did are still fresh in my mind so even I still feel angry every time I hear her name. "Psyche killed him a year ago"

Freya nodded. "That's sad… I really hope that I can kill him myself" he said that Trevas and I both cried.

We walked into the courtyard, every person who wanted to visit the courtyard where the king lived had to go through a lot of security checks but since Trevas and I were with us we didn’t go through there anymore and dire just went inside.

Trevas knocked on the door and we also waited a few seconds before we heard king henrick's voice. “Come in”

Trevas opened the door and went straight inside. I was about to be next when Freya suddenly grabbed my arm. I turned to her and saw that she was out of focus and deep in thought.

"How do I look?" he asked me to my surprise.

He noticed the expression on my face so he spoke again. “You’re a woman too so I know you also want to look presentable to the person you want. Wait, have you ever been in love? ”

I could not immediately answer his question. Aside from being surprised when he asked if he looked okay because he wanted to look presentable in front of king henrick who he hadn't been with for a few years, I was even more surprised when he asked if I had fallen in love.

"Yes." I wanted to tell her that her own son was the man I wanted but I decided not to. It would be better if he first focused on his meeting with king hermes.

“What brings you here? Isn’t it too early to visit me? ” the two of us focused our attention when we heard king henrick's voice.

"Let's go" I whispered to freya before I took her hand on my arm and let her enter the king's room.

The room is spacious and full of beautiful and expensive things. The ceiling is high on which a chandelier hangs. The windows are also high and because the curtains are open sunlight enters the room.

King henrick was sitting on a long sofa in the room, in front of him there was a tray containing a variety of food that was very impossible for just one person to consume. Her attention was focused on translating the tea into a cup so she didn’t notice Freya and I entering.

"I know you're only good at a fight but you don't have to go straight to my room when you get home, do you love me like that for-" the king's words were suddenly interrupted when he looked in Freya's direction, at the same time he let go of the handlehis cup and threw the hot tea on his thigh.

"Shit, that's hot" he said in shock before suddenly standing up and wiping his thigh with a white handkerchief.

"The first time you met after so many years, you immediately humiliated yourself, your majesty" Trevas said with a laugh, so king henrick stopped what he was doing and looked back at Freya.

“So I’m not hallucinating, am I?” he asked.

“It’s real. She’s back ”

King henrick didn't speak and just stared at Freya. "Are you really just staring at me?"

"I… I mean… I don't know what to say" King henrick replied still not taking his eyes off Freya and even when Freya started walking towards him he didn't do anything, he probably still couldn't believe what he saw.

Freya came even closer to him before he hugged her. It was only then that king hermes gradually reacted and also wrapped his arms around Freya before sinking his face into her neck.

"Let's go" Trevas whispered to me, he probably wanted to give his parents privacy. I nodded and followed him out of the room.

Trevas and I went straight back to the courtyard where Lina and I used to stay but somehow, it feels different now that Lina is gone. I felt the sadness that I was also prevented from going out for a long time because the mourning was out of place and time but now that it's all over, I didn't think that the loss of Lina would have such a big effect on me.

I still don't know how Lina found out what was scheduled to happen that day and Add to that Luke's sacrifice of his life in exchange for mine that I still don't understand. I tried not to think about it first and forget that I was sad first but as time went on I felt even heavier.
