Chapter 72: Chapter 72

Chapter 71

The sun was setting when I woke up and as soon as I woke up I could feel the change in my body.

It was as if my eyesight was clearer and my hearing was sharper and I could hear the deep breathing of the unfamiliar man lying on the other side of the bed next to the bed I was lying on.

I frowned before looking around and only then did I realize that I was in the camp clinic.

‘What happened?’

There aren’t too many patients here inside the clinic so there are a lot of vacant beds and I see on the other side the alchemists just pachill-chill and talking about what matters.

I got up before stepping to the end of the bed and laying my feet on the floor but before I could get up I stopped when I heard a familiar voice.

"Are you okay?" Mama asked walking towards me.

"What happened?" I asked him but he just shook his head before saying: “I don’t know either”

"Huh?"

"This is not the first time I removed a magic seal from a magic user but this is the first time I lost consciousness when I did it" he said to my surprise.

I remember what happened before I fainted. I felt a strange magic flow through my body before my muscles and bones suddenly ached as if it was slowly being removed before being replaced with a new one. I told mama about it and detailed to her every sensation I felt but all she said was: “Weird, you’re not supposed to feel any pain”

I looked at my hand and stared at it. What’s wrong with me?

"Maybe I am too weak?" I asked hesitantly but suddenly mama looked at me badly.

"Stop pulling yourself down, you're weak when you think you're weak and you can't beat Psyche if that's your mindset"

I was silenced by what mama said but I also immediately objected when what she said sinks into my brain. "Wait- why should I beat Psyche, shouldn't you?"

Mom sighed. "I'm not confident that I can beat Psyche because I only have half of my power and as you saw Psyche and I fight in Plaza De Rinos, I stand no chance of winning."

"So you want me to fight her?" I hesitate to ask. I just discovered that I am also an ice user and just opened the magic seal he put on me before so I still don't know how to control it.

"No" said mama so I looked back at him. "I want you to fight her with me."

He smiled at me before touching me with the hair and caressing it. “Even if you can’t see me nor can you hear me, I will always look out for you”

I smiled back at him but before I could speak he preceded me. "Now, show me what you can do"

He grabbed me by my wrist before pulling me out of the clinic tent as if he was even more excited to know my power than I was. I could do nothing but let him pull me and just shake me.

As soon as we left the clinic tent, I immediately noticed that there were almost no people other than the name of a few who were walking towards where.

My forehead frowned because of that. It's not like that night and the sun is just setting but why do I seem to see only a few of Trevas' staff?

“Where are the others? Why does it seem so quiet? ” I asked mama who was still dragging me where.

He stopped walking because of my question and it was only then that he noticed the strange situation of the camp because Trevas' staff was often noisy at such times.

Before mama could answer my question I could see Trevas in the distance walking in our direction so we also walked closer to him to ask what was going on.

"I don't know why but Captain Jared ordered everyone to stand up to prepare for the attack."

"Attack?" I asked, not sure if what I heard was correct. "Aren't we going to attack the next day?"

"That's also what I know we agreed on in the meeting this morning so I don't understand why Captain Jared ordered that" Trevas replied, his face was annoyed by what was happening.

"First, let's talk to Captain Jared about what he's doing so we can find out what's going on" Mama suggested and I immediately agreed but before we could start walking to the tent where Captain Jared was staying we were distracted when we saw weone of Trevas’s staff running in our direction.

This is a man a few spans smaller than me. It ran fast despite the heavy combat clothes he was wearing and and he was gasping for breath when he reached us.

He grabbed her knee and chased his breath to stand up straight before saluting Trevas in respect.

"General, a carriage stopped in front of the camp and they said they won't leave until you can talk to them."

“What? Who is it? ”

The man shook his head before speaking. "They are said to be representatives from Firlame for the threekingdom alliance but their most leader didn't get out of the carriage so we don't know who they really are"

Trevas nodded before signaling the man to leave and he immediately obeyed.

"Let's talk to Captain Jared later, let's make sure it's not a representative from Frilame" Trevas said before grabbing me by the wrist and teleporting to the very entrance of the camp surrounded by a fence made of a magic I'm not familiar with.

Next to us it also suddenly lit up and at the same time was the sudden appearance of mama and the appearance of the pharaoh pharaohs around him who flew away before disappearing.

I turned my attention around and there I saw that Trevas' men were already lined up for the dash but there was a look of wonder on their faces as to why their leaders thought it was night to rush. Little did they know that even Trevas and I were also wondering why Captain Jared had prepared everyone for the dash that was supposed to take place two days from now.

I looked back at Trevas as he stepped forward and there I just noticed an expensive carriage parked a few meters away from us.

The chariot was white and adorned with gold and was surrounded by guards on precious horses. At first glance, you already know that whoever is in the carriage is an important person and I won't be surprised if he is a member of the royal family of Firlame.

"I heard your master want to talk to me?" Trevas asked one of the guards surrounding the white carriage.

Those guards bowed at the same time but they did not speak. Someone just came to the carriage door and opened it.

From there at the carriage door a familiar man slowly descended and I could not help but widen my eyes when I saw who that man was.

"It's been a while, brother" Alastor greeted Trevas who was also looking at him in shock.
