Chapter 70

In one camp, there are people assigned to cook food while others are assigned to send food to each tent. Each meal time of the day is different, so you can taste different flavors of food in a day.

Sometimes there is food that is delicious, sometimes there is food that is too salty or too sweet but on our first day here at the camp on Mount Jeufeng, the food is delicious. It looks like the cook assigned to cooking the food is good.

I leaned back in the chair and held my stomach because I seemed to have eaten more but I suddenly stopped when I saw mama just looking at me and not moving her food.

"Why aren't you eating, ma?" I asked him before sipping water from my glass.

Mama tried to laugh. "You know I'm dead right?"

I stopped and that's when I remembered what he said about the only part of his soul that I see now.

“By the way, why is Lina still gone? How much do they talk to Jared? ” Mama asked when she noticed that Lina was still gone and the food served for her was getting cold.

"I'll look for her, maybe I just got lost and can't find where our tent is" I said before getting up and leaving the tent to go back to the main tent where we were meeting earlier but before I could get away I could see Lina slowly slowly walking.

"Lina!" I called to him before I walked closer to him but before I could take a step my eyes widened when he suddenly knelt on the floor.

I quickly ran towards him and it was only then that I noticed that he was pale and sweaty.

"What happened? What did Captain Jared do to you? ” I asked him and helped him to his feet.

"I just feel bad" his voice trembled and his knees weakened as I helped him back to our tent.

"What happened?" mama asked worriedly as soon as we entered but I just asked her because even I didn't know what had happened.

I took Lina to one of the three beds and laid her there.

I saw Lina close her eyes and hold her stomach while frowning as if feeling severe pain.

"Tell me the truth Lina, what happened?" I asked him again so he woke up and looked at me. There were tears in her eyes but I don't know if it was because she was feeling bad or for some other reason.

Lina nodded. "Suddenly I feel bad, maybe I just ate something bad"

I frowned, based on my memory Lina hadn't eaten anything since we came here to the camp and the only thing we ate when we stayed at Knoxx manor was food that Trevas secretly bought in the shopping district of Bauxacel but I just didn't speak andwiped his sweaty forehead with a towel.

"You don't have to take care of me, I'm not a child anymore" Lina said laughing before taking the towel from me and wiping herself so I didn't do anything else but watch her.

"You're really just staring at me all day?" Lina asked with a laugh when she saw that I didn't move from my seat and just watched her.

"Maybe, do you want me to?" I replied, I remember the times when Lina took care of me whenever I was sick when I was young. Lina was only three years older than me, so she was assigned by my mother who was my personal maid then, but even so, we almost considered each other as sisters.

"No, I think it's better if you do the unsealing of your power now" Lina said before suddenly being touched in her stomach as if it was too much pain then.

I suddenly remembered about that thing. I turned to mama who was sitting on the other bed.

"I think we should unseal it tomorrow" Mama answered me before I could ask when she wanted me to unseal. "That process is a bit tiring so I think we should just do it tomorrow and just rest first today. After all, we will arrive and the next day we will attack the rebel camp."

I nodded. I also agree with mama's wishes because I also don't want to leave Lina now with no one else to take care of but me and mama but Lina seems to be against it.

"I think you should do it now" Mom and I turned to her at the same time.

"Why?"

"You'll never know what will happen" said Lina so mama stopped us at the same time.

This is the second time I’ve heard those words today and I don’t know why but I feel like I’m suddenly nervous.

"I think it's better to unseal your magic now so you can train tomorrow" said Lina so I turned my attention back to her.

I turned my gaze to mama and saw that she was also looking at me. "What do you think?"

"Lina has a point but you still decide when you want" mama answered me.

I really wanted to stay here in the tent and take care of Lina but I suddenly frowned when I saw Lina's eyes on me.

"Go" he said as if begging me to agree to what he wanted. Why does he seem to want me to leave?

I just sighed and nodded. "Fine, but I will send an Alchemist here to find out your illness and give you medicine"

Lina just smiled before nodding and even when mama and I left the tent, she didn't say a word.

Before leaving the tent I turned to him. He was stunned where and I didn’t know what he was thinking but I noticed there was concern in his eyes that I couldn’t understand.

I just shrugged before leaving the tent. I don't know why Lina seems weird now but it's probably just because of her conversation with Captain Jared earlier.

I had no idea what the process was for removing mama’s magic seal from me but I was a little nervous when she took me to the vast land next to the camp.

The camp is set up just at the foot of Jeufeng mountain so the ground we step on is flat and there is no snow here compared to the top of Jeufeng which is covered with thick snow due to the extreme height.

"Why do we have to get away from the camp?" I asked mama as I looked around the huge tent we were walking away from.

Mama apparently noticed the nervousness on my face so she laughed. "Don't worry, it's just like an ant bite"

"Why don't I seem to believe you?" I asked him but instead of speaking he just laughed again. I suddenly remembered the giggle I heard from her when she was still pretending to be Anna.

"Stay there" he told me in the middle of the vast land before he stepped back.

I was about to ask what he was really going to do and why he was walking away when he suddenly stretched out his hand in my direction and at the same time a white magic circle suddenly appeared where I was standing.

That magic circle glowed and it got bigger and bigger and when I thought it would never stop growing white and transparent magic rings suddenly appeared which turned me around in different directions and speeds. At the same time I suddenly felt something like a pain in my chest and as if something wanted to escape from the innermost part of my body so I knelt on the floor and held on to my chest.

I felt a strange power suddenly flow through my body that I didn’t know where it was coming from. That power is different, different from the power I feel every time I use my water element and it is also different from the power I felt when mama joined me.

I couldn't understand how I was feeling and I couldn't even understand what was happening around me because I was dazzled by the intense light coming from the magic rings that kept circling around me as long as all I knew was that my whole body was in so much pain.

Every muscle aches and feels like my bones are being pushed and I don’t know how but I feel like it’s slowly being replaced by something new.

I wanted to scream at the pain I was feeling but there seemed to be no voice coming out of my mouth and I didn’t realize that I was slowly losing consciousness.
