I'm just wondering why there are six seats because only Trevas and his father the king are the only ones left with royal blood and I haven't heard of anyone holding the title of prince/princess of the first rank.

(A.N. The prince/princess of the first rank is the title of recognized princes or princesses but is not related to the royal family)

I looked around to find a seat but to my great surprise, instead of stopping at some of the empty seats, Trevas took me to the tables only for the nobles.

"What are you doing?" I heard Lina ask that Lieutenant Jared was also currently dragging her to the seat of the nobles.

"We can't sit here" I said to Trevas as he just kept walking.

"I know… don't worry you won't sit here" he said, still looking straight at what we were walking.

"Then why are you being brought here?" I asked before simply looking at the people we had been looking at before. I see there are still whispers and sometimes I hear the word ‘She-devil’.

Trevas didn't speak anymore so I just kept my mouth shut, I knew there was a reason why he was doing this so I just let him take me somewhere.

We just stopped walking when we came to the opposite side of the long table and chairs for the royal family and the other princes and princesses. The king was already sitting in one of the six chairs and looking at us.

"King-father" Trevas greeted before bowing and we did the same.

"Kneel" said the king so I was suddenly confused. What's up? Why is he making us kneel? Did I do anything wrong?

I quickly knelt down with Trevas, Lina and Lieutenant Jared but was shocked to see that Sergeant Minna had just followed us.

The king stood up from his seat before speaking. “As we all have heard, These five brave men .. and women. Fought great battles for the safety of our kingdom and because of them the kingdom remains peaceful. ”

The people applauded but the commoners in the background shouted even louder.

"They are bravely attacking the enemies and taxing their lives for the kingdom so tonight I will give them an award" the people shouted even more and I breathed a sigh of relief that we would probably not be punished.

I turned to Trevas who was kneeling next to me and simply pinched his arm. He turned to ‘me and raised an eyebrow at me.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” I whispered to him.

"Then it won't be a surprise" he said before looking back at king henrick as he started talking again,

“Sergeant Min, I bestow you the title of a Lieutenant General and an army of 2,000 men”

“This servant thanks you your majesty”

"Lieutenant Jared, I bestow you the title of a captain general and an army of 4,000"

"Thank you your majesty"

“Miss Lina, Miss Alissa…” my chest suddenly throbbed when I heard my name. I feel mixed emotions but the excitement I feel dominates.

"I bestow you two the title of Princess Lina and Princess Alissa of the first rank, 1,000 gold coins and a courtyard of your own" I was almost deaf to what I heard. Princess of the first rank? That title is not a joke because you are like a member of the royal family once you are a prince/princess of the first rank.

Since what was happening still didn't sink into my brain, I almost forgot to thank the king if Trevas hadn't just touched me. I also saw Lina who was just an idiot on the floor and couldn't understand what was happening.

“With this happy occasion as the start of our new year, may the coming year become more prosperous and full of happiness than the last and may all of us met again in the next new year celebration. Start the party ”

And the festival has already started, with well -known singers, painters, dancers and what not performing before the mountain dishes are prepared on the table. Lina and I were already sitting with Trevas and the king but until now I still can't believe what's happening. I couldn’t help but smile as I watched everyone have fun while eating especially when the fireworks display I could see here inside because of the rising and huge windows had already started.

Fireworks erupted throughout the palace hall and most of the visitors went out to the palace garden where the beautiful and colorful fireworks could be seen more clearly.

That night, I felt so happy and I had even more hope that next year will be good… I know we have a lot to face but I am no longer afraid.

I looked next to me when I felt someone holding my hand and there I saw Trevas. We are here today on the Balcony of the second floor of the palace hall while watching the huge colorful fireworks. We are the only two here because almost all the guests go to the palace gardens to watch the fireworks.

There are dragon-shaped fireworks that fly in the air before it explodes and disappears, there are also fireworks that are very light, fireworks that go around before exploding and what else makes me wow.

I gripped Trevas' hand tightly that clung to mine.

"10!"

"9!"

The loud shouts of the people could be heard here as they c-count down for the coming year.

"8 months 7 months 6 months 5 times 4 times"

Trevas turned me to him before touching me on the cheek.

"2… 1"

"Happy New year" Trevas whispered to me before we pressed our lips together. The fireworks and the screams of the people got louder and I can say that It’s the best new year celebration of my life.
