Chapter 46: Chapter 46
Chapter 45
"Let's fix this, or else it might be too late" Trevas said, still not looking into my eyes.
I nodded but I still didn't know what to answer.
"I've lost too many people, I don't want to lose you" This time, he said while looking at me.
I gasped. I can’t hide this anymore.
I got up from my seat before walking over to him. "I want to show you something"
Trevas hesitated at first but he also stood up and nodded. I grabbed him by the arm which surprised him but before he could speak I teleported to a familiar place with him.
Suddenly the scenario we were in changed. There were still flying butterflies that came out every time I teleported but they also gradually disappeared and exposed us to a very beautiful and amazing place.
We are now in the ravine where Lina and I fell and where we got the frozen chrysanthemum that was also not used. When Lina and I were here, I didn't really observe and appreciate the beauty of this place but now that I have examined it properly I was suddenly amazed.
It was a bit dark in this place because the gorge was a bit deep but there were glowing magical flowers all around us and there were also fireflies and pharaohs parrots glowing flying around.
I started walking and I heard Trevas's footsteps quietly following me. I just stopped walking when we reached the lake that was very familiar to me. It still glows as I remember.
"If you had the chance to fulfill one of your wishes, what would you wish for?" I asked, not taking my eyes off the magical lake.
Trevas next to me was silent for a moment before he could speak. “It depends”
“Would you wish to know all of my secrets?” I will ask.
Trevas did not answer. I bent down and touched the water in the lake and at the same time a light appeared in front of us before it gradually became human and exposed us to the goddess of tears.
“I can’t tell you all of my secrets, but she can show it to you” I said.
***
Light enveloped Trevas' vision before memories that were not of him gradually entered his brain.
"You want to get to know her?" an unfamiliar voice asked him.
"You want to know everything about her but you're too scared to ask" the voice said laughing but Trevas ignored that because the light had swallowed him.
He now went to an unfamiliar place. He is now in a school -like palace and surrounded by students. Everyone was wearing a uniform except Trevas so people were looking at him.
"Where's your uniform?" Trevas suddenly turned to the speaker and almost jumped in shock at what he saw.
"Alissa?" Trevas asked 13 year old Alissa who was in front of him now. "What happened to you?"
“What do you mean? And how did you know my name? ” he asked as he frowned at Trevas.
“Where am I?”
“You’re in the Maxica Academy, are you lost too? First year? ” Alissa asked one after another but Trevas just stared at her.
‘You’re in her memory’ said a voice in Trevas ’brain.
‘Who are you? And what do you mean I’m in Alissa’s memory? ’
‘I am Laramie, the goddess of tears. You are here today with the precious memories you Alissa as you wish ’
"Why are you not talking?" Trevas was drawn to reality when he heard Alissa's somewhat shrill voice compared to what he remembered.
"Is this your first day of high school?" Trevas asked.
“Yes! You also?" Alissa asked but she suddenly stopped. "Oh, you're too old to be a first year"
Trevas smiled at what Alissa said but before he could speak he grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her into a large arena located in the middle of the Maxica Academy campus which was the school Alissa attended when she was young.
Maxica Academy is one of the most renowned schools in the world. It is located between the kingdoms of Bauxacel and Beifang so students usually come from two kingdoms here.
"Where are we going?" Trevas asked Alissa as she took him to an arena that many students were walking into.
"Join me at the sorting ceremony" Alissa said before turning to Trevas and smiling at him.
Trevas just nodded but he couldn't stop himself from thinking deeply. He noticed that alissa was always smiling in front of him now compared to the alissa he met who although she knew how to smile, seemed to always be serious in life.
It is not unexpected that Alissa was so friendly and talkative when she was young. What could have happened for her to change?
"You don't have a class, do you?" Alissa asked as they sat down in one of the thousands of seats surrounding a round stage.
"Oh right, there are no classes yet because it's the first day of school and sorting ceremony" Alissa whispered before turning around and looking around.
“What’s your name?” Alissa asked again before turning to Trevas.
"Trevas" was Trevas's frugal answer.
“Last name?”
surname
Trevas couldn't answer right away, he didn't know if he should say that his last name was Beifang because the alissang next to him didn't know his true identity. “Trevas… Laxxon”
Trevas didn't know why Laxxon was the last name he said as long as that was the last name that first entered his brain and that's when he realized that it was Lady Mara's last name.
"Trevas Laxxon" Alissa nodded. "Laxxon… Laxxon… I'm not familiar with your last name but from now on I will imprint Laxxon on my brain"
Before Trevas could answer, everyone's attention was caught when a woman walked to the middle circle stage and other professors and faculties followed her.
"Settledown now please" said the woman but her voice could be heard throughout the arena.
The students returned to their seats and everyone fell silent. The other professors and faculties sat in chairs on the stage except for a woman who graduated and was seen in the middle of the stage.
“The first years came down here on stage” the woman said in her serious voice so almost one-fourth of the students sat on the benches and started coming down the stage.
"Wish me luck!" Alissa sighed before standing up and walking down the stage with the first few years.
Trevas didn’t know the trend of the Academy because of the royals who were often home schooled just for security purposes so he didn’t know the reason why the early years were brought down on stage.
The woman in the middle of the stage raised her hand and from there a crystal ball emerged floating in her hand. He stretched out his hand in front of him and at the same time the crystal ball flew to the front during the clusters of the first years who were amazed at what they saw.
“For those who don't know yet, With this crystal ball, you will know the power you have and what level you have that will decide which class you will go. Shall we start now? "
The names of the first years were read alphabetically one by one so it took a while to call Alissa.
Once a student's name is called, he will walk closer to the crystal ball and he will do nothing but touch it and it will appear there in the crystal ball what his power and level are.
The crystal ball will be red when a fire user holds it, blue when water, green when earth and gray when air. Black when darkness, white when light and sky blue when ice user but that element is the rarest so nothing like that color appears in the crystal ball for a long time. The number on the crystal ball will also show what level the student is at but that doesn't pay much attention because a user can still level up once they work hard, the only thing that can't really be changed is what element you have.
To be continued...
