Chapter 41: Chapter 41

Chapter 40

I called her "Lady Mara" so she immediately turned to us. He got up from the sofa and Lina and I bowed in greeting. Her every move was very graceful.

"What are you doing here?" I asked but before he could answer Lieutenant Jared came down from the second floor and looked at us.

"She's here for Trevas" he said before approaching Lady Mara and nodding to her. He smiled back at her.

"What was that?" Lina was annoyed when she saw the two smiling but lieutenant Jared ignored her.

"Lady Mara, who came from Bauxacel, traveled here to provide the Frozen Chrysanthemum needed for Trevas' antidote."

Suddenly my forehead frowned and I tightened my grip on the frozen chrysanthemum I was holding. "He's cured?"

"Oh, you don't know because you've been missing for the past three days" Lieutenant Jared began and there was a look of disappointment on his face. "Trevas is awake, and that's because of Lady Mara's help"

I stopped before I shifted my gaze to Lady Mara. He just stood there quietly but his posture was very elegant. The fancy dress she was wearing was beautiful, different from the combat clothes I was wearing that were dirty and had tears that I had received during the three -day trip with Lina and me to the jeufeng mountain.

"Trevas is awake?" I tightened my grip on the Frozen Chrysanthemum that was lying on my back and I didn't have a pack if it broke. I want to be angry with Lady Mara because because of her I wasted my effort to find the frozen chrysanthemum but I have no right to be angry because she did it to save Trevas.

"He woke up the day you left" Lieutenant Jared continued.

It turned out that the day Lina and I left lieutenant Jared discovered that the Laxxon family owned a 25 year old frozen chrysanthemum. one of the powerful families in Bauxacel and the Laxxons and it turned out that Lady Mara, who once visited Beifang to fetch Luke was the only young miss in the Laxxon family.

I immersed myself in the bathtub with the Cr connected to my bedroom while trying to calm myself down. I'm annoyed ... Lina and I just wasted our journey to find the frozen chrysanthemum. All of it was in vain ...

I stared at the Frozen Chrysanthemum that just sat on the table next to me. What am I going to do here?

After I soaked in the bathtub I immediately got dressed and teleported to the cherry blossom tree where I could see the window in Trevas ’room. From here I just stared at him who was currently reading a book while lying on the bed. He looked so calm and peaceful as if nothing had happened to him ... as if he didn't care that I was gone for three days.

Trevas must have noticed that someone was looking at him so he looked in my direction but before we could catch sight of him I immediately teleported back to my room and leaned against the door.

Another day passed without me going to Trevas in his room. He is not completely well and I can't leave his room and I don't visit him either because I don't know how to deal with him and I'm afraid of anything I can say to him.

"Has it been caught who sent the assassins on Trevas' coronation day?" My first question to Sergeant Min was when we met in the palace chamber where one of the opponents was tortured to force him to confess.

Sergeant Min was shaken. "They still don't speak and would rather die than admit"

"What about the investigation?"

Sergeant sighed. "There is no progress in the investigation and I have a strong suspicion that an accomplice in a high position did it so until now he has not been caught."

I bit my nail so hard before looking at the torture room that was emanating from an uplifting scream.

"Miss Alissa" Sergeant Min turned to us once when a royal guard approached us and called me. He first saluted Sergeant Min before facing me again.

"What is it?"

"His highness prince Trevas is calling you to his room" I was suddenly stunned. I don't want to face Trevas yet but I have no choice but to face him now.

I rested deeply and leaned my forehead against the door of Trevas's room. I held the door knob but I was stunned for a few seconds before I turned it and went inside.

Trevas was sitting on his bed and he was still reading the book I saw yesterday that he was holding. I closed the door behind me and walked over to him. I know he knows I'm here but he still doesn't take his eyes off the book he's reading.

"Do I really need to call you just to visit me?" He asked, still not taking his eyes off the book he was holding.

"I don't really have to since you're good again—"

Trevas suddenly slapped the book he was holding in the nightstand drawer next to his bed and for the first time he looked me in the eye. "You don't have to?"

"Will anything change whether I visit or not?"

Trevas was silent for a moment. "Did you know? The first thing I've done when I woke up is to look for you ..."

"You shouldn't ..." I answered sparingly while trying to hide the true emotions I was feeling.

"I shouldn't? Can I stop myself? I know you don't like me the way I like you Alissa but at least let me like you—"

"You shouldn't" I repeated. I'm not worth it Trevas ... "Don't waste your feelings for someone who will never like you the way you do"

"Why are you hurting me like this?" I couldn’t look into Trevas ’eyes but I knew his eyes were already watering.

"When I woke up, I thought maybe you were worried about me ... You must have been frightened ... But you're not even at my side when I woke up" his voice broke but I didn't speak so he just continued in speech.

"On coronation day, where were you? Were you hurt—"

"I with Luke"

Trevas stopped suddenly before he suddenly laughed. "I know ..."

"You knew?"

"I know you'll earn him before he leaves" he said before he gasped. "In the end, you will always choose him"

I bent down and clenched my fist.

"You should rest ..." I said before walking out of the room.

To be continued...
