"Won't you join the attack on the remaining opponents?" asked Alaric, the leader of the barbarians to Luke who was currently staring at Trevas' place.

They had just finished their battle against Prince Alastor's men but they were preparing for the next attack.

"You can do it without me" Luke said but before Alaric could speak again someone called him to make him and Luke turn around.

"Chief Alaric" a barbarian called but Luke and Alaric did not focus their attention on him but on the man he was holding by the collar while dragging him on the floor.

He was wearing a violet combat clother, which was the uniform of the Beifang warriors, and this burn and bruise on his body was probably due to the fight that took place earlier.

The barbarian pushed the wounded man at the feet of Luke and Alaric and only then did the two notice that he was not just an ordinary Beifang warrior, it was Prince Alastor.

I turned to him but I also immediately regretted it when we both stared at each other and my heart beat faster. Trevas turned to me and I looked at him in surprise because I tried to stop what he was doing but we were distracted when Luke's hand lit up and the black smoke that came from Trevas disappeared immediately.

"Light user?" Trevas asked me without taking his eyes off Luke. I nodded.

"Alissa" my fist clenched when I heard Luke's voice again and my hair stood on end.

I didn’t answer him but he just kept walking towards me. He did not mind that we were in the middle of a bloody battle and could hear the moans and shouts of the people around him because he was just calmly staring at Trevas and me.

I noticed that Luke's forehead frowned when he saw Trevas holding my arm before pulling me behind him so that he could face Luke.

"Who are you?" Luke asked but Trevas didn't answer him so he just turned his gaze to me.

"Alissa, let's go back to-"

"He won't come with you" Trevas interrupted.

"Can you not interfere?" Luke replied angrily to him. "I'm not talking to you"

Before Trevas could answer I preceded him. "I'm not going back to Bauxacel, Luke"

Luke stopped walking before no emotion stared at me.

"You can live in the palace with me" Luke replied to me.

“Even if I come back, I can't go back to the past. The knoxx manor is gone and my loved ones are gone. And that's because of you and your family. ”
