"If I were you, I would tie up your pet so it doesn't spread. You don't want me to discipline you, do you?" He suddenly grinned which made me even more annoyed.

I wanted to answer him and put him in the face but Trevas tightened his grip on my arm and looked at me as if telling me not to speak so I just didn't say anything and stared at him.

"No, don't touch her" Trevas replied seriously to his mother. It didn't speak immediately and just stared at Trevas before shifting its gaze to me and Trevas' hand that was still holding my arm.

"Oh, I see. You finally have a weakness" he laughed slightly but there was a trace in his eyes that he was not happy. "Don't worry Trevas. I won't move him. For now"

He laughed again before starting to walk away and Alastor followed him who had been silent for a while.

I gathered my magic into my hand and there gradually appeared a prick of ice. I was going to throw it in Vivian's direction so that she would disappear from the world but Trevas stopped me again.

"Why are you defending that demon?"

"Be careful what you say, maybe someone will hear you and put you in jail for speaking against the royal family" Trevas warned me but I just stared at him.

"So what? For f*ck's sake Trevas, your woman poisoned you—" I suddenly stopped what I was saying when Trevas suddenly covered my mouth.

"Only the two of us know about that thing" Trevas said which annoyed me even more. I slapped his hand that covered my mouth before whispering but he spoke annoyed.

"Why are we the only two who know? Let's shout at everyone that that woman's conscience is bad"

Trevas scratched his neck before saying "Well, I don't have a proof that he poisoned me and I know people won't believe me. And one more thing, She's still my mother"

I was blown away by the annoyance before being shaken. "you know what? I'm willing to help you"

"Really?"

"Yes, but in return, you will put your mother in jail" I said as Trevas silenced her.

He thought for a moment before nodding. "Alright"

"And one more, soon ... I will need your power if you become king in the future"

"What for?" Suddenly the faces of mama and papa entered my brain. Suddenly the sadness and anger I felt at the betrayal of Luke and his king father who killed my entire family for his own greed returned to me.

"Soon, I will tell you" I replied to Trevas because I was not ready to open-up with him. I don't know Trevas that well yet to trust him and tell my secrets and I know Trevas is the same to me so he doesn't tell the full details of why his mother is so mad at him and who he really is.

"Did I miss anything?" Trevas turned to look at us from behind at the same time. We just looked at Lina before we both laughed.

"What's funny?"

"Let's go, I'll bring you to my Courtyard" Trevas said before walking ahead. I first looked at Lina who was still staring at us in amazement before I walked to follow Trevas.

It took us about half an hour to walk to Trevas ’courtyard which is at the very end of the vast palace grounds. We passed many other large and beautiful courtyards so I was disappointed that we reached Trevas' courtyard.

Compared to the courtyards we passed, this courtyard of Trevas is much smaller and simpler. Although it was clean and tidy, it was too simple to be the courtyard of a prince of the beifang kingdom and my courtyard at Knoxx manor was much nicer and bigger when I was still living there.

"Let me guess, your mother put you here in this courtyard" I asked while looking inside the courtyard. Often in palaces the queen was in charge of assigning the courtyard where each prince and princess would live.

"Yes" he replied before we were taken to the largest house inside the courtyard.

In total the total number of houses within the courtyard is at five. The largest two -story house is the main building where the bedrooms are on the second floor and the living room is on the first floor, while the remaining four houses inside the courtyard serve as the kitchen, dining room and house of five. assistant and two cooks.

We entered the main building and were greeted by two women dressed as maids. Trevas sat straight on the long sofa and Lina and I, who had a thick face, also slumped on the sofa and picked up the bread on the table.

"So, what's your plan?" I asked while chewing the bread. I looked up at the female maid when she suddenly poured tea from the cup in front of me but I also looked back at Trevas and continued chewing.

“As the king said, we will fight the barbarians in the west and we will be with Alastor” Trevas said before sipping tea there in the cup in front of him.

"Can we just rush Alastor?" I asked as Trevas stopped him. He narrowed his eyes at me before turning to the two assistants who were just standing on the sidelines.

"Leave us" Trevas said to the two. They bowed before walking out of the room.

“Be careful on what you said, you don’t know who your ally is and not” Trevas said.

I just nodded, I knew better than anyone the danger lurking inside the palace. I know more than anyone that the people of the palace have bad consciences to hide because I myself and my family experienced their greed. I looked up from the bread I was eating and looked at Trevas. Are you like Luke? Are you like the royal family of Bauxacel who are greedy for power?

I was shaken before sipping tea from my cup. Greedy or not, I had to help Trevas get the throne so that I could use his power when I returned to Bauxacel.
