"You see, that was Kyle's mum, you are very lucky Kyle is going to be alright soon, else you would have seen the other side of Mrs Greenwood, she is not a woman to play around with and I promise you, I am not either, so if you know what is good for you take your retched self and your family out of this hospital and I would not want to set my eyes on you anywhere near this hospital," Sonia said to me and Vicky.

"Why if I may ask?" Vicky asked in return, glaring at her.

"Well, that is because we practically own this hospital," Sonia said.

"We? Did I hear you say we?" I asked trying to ridicule her, Vicky glanced at me, and we both let out a mocking laugh.

"Yes, we," Sonia replied, glaring at the both of us, "Haven't you heard?" She asked, still glaring at us, "I am the soon-to-be daughter-in-law of the Greenwood’s," Sonia said again but with an arrogant look on her face.

"It is a good thing you spoke the truth, Sonia, soon to be daughter in law that is what you are and not yet a daughter in law," Vicky told her almost immediately, "Someone else can still take your place," Vicky added with a smirk on her face, although I am wondering why she has that smirk on her face right now, I think I like it, because of how furious it made Sonia look.

"You better watch your tongue, or I am going to teach you a lesson of your life," Sonia threatened Vicky.

"What will you do, soon-to-be daughter-in-law?" Vicky asked her mockingly again.

"You just wait until I become the daughter in law of the Greenwood’s, I will make sure to look for you," Sonia told Vicky and then turned to look at me too, she seemed very mad because of what Vicky told her and I am pleased to see that look on her face, she is lucky we did not meet in a different circumstance, I would have shown her I am not an easy person to mess with, I wished I have gotten a degree just as I have planned and that my parents did not die, especially my dad, he was well to do before he passed, if he were to be alive to this day, I would never be living such a sorry life as I do now.

"How dare that woman try to rub insult on us?" Vicky asked, drawing me out from my thought, "She is lucky that I am not in your position," Vicky added, I think she is fuming with anger.

"Excuse me?" I asked, not sure of what she is trying to say now.

"Yes, Kim, that Sonia b*tch is lucky that I am not the biological mum of Alex and Sandra, I would have made sure she never becomes the wife of Kyle," Vicky said, still angry I guess.

"What rubbish are you saying now?" I asked, still not making sense of what she is saying right now.

"It is not rubbish, Kim, I would have used Alex and Sandra to my advantage, and even if she succeeded in becoming Kyle's wife, I would have made the marriage unbearable for her," Vicky replied.

"That would never happen, Vicky, so get that thought out of your head," I told her turning to go back to Alex's ward.

"It is not impossible to achieve, Kim," Vicky said walking up to me and beside me, "That man Kyle once loved you, as least he once chased after you, that should count for something, that he once had affection for you, if I were you, I would have tried to rekindle that affection just because of the witch, Sonia," Vicky told me.

I looked at her briefly marvelled at her thoughts right now, "Stop it, Vicky, stop putting thoughts in your head, that witch has Kyle wrapped around her fingers, he would do whatever she wants him to do, whatever you think he felt for me has been dead a long time ago, and why are we even on this? Can a man damage what he truly loves? He rapped me, that does not mean love to me," I told Vicky shaking my head in disagreement with what Vicky is saying.

"Then why did his mum make such a comment?" Vicky asked stopping abruptly, looking me in the face.

"What comment?" I asked stopping as well.

"You heard her, she said she does not know why her son keeps coming to you, he even had to donate his blood something he would not have done," Vicky reminded me of what Kyle's mum said in front of Doctor Sam's office.

"What? That does not mean anything to me at all, as far as I am concerned, that man did what he did because of guilt," I told Vicky, "So please erase that thought from your mind now, and let me make this clear to you, that b*tch, Sonia, will not make me do something as low as trying to have that man in my life, he is not even worth it," I told her and then started walking again.

"Well, that is your opinion, she is truly lucky that it is not me she had to deal with," she said walking beside me again.

"That's by the way, did you see how young Kyle's mum looked?" Sonia asked, changing the topic, I gave her a quick stare, she is always like this, she knows how to get out of an angry mood so soon and I loved this about her.

"Yes," I replied, deciding to get on with the flow, "She looked nice, but she sure is a scary woman," I added.

"Yes, scary indeed," Vicky said in agreement.

"I thought I was the only one thinking that, you know? Her looks got me speechless," Vicky said her face brightening up as she speaks.

"Yes, she looked young to be the mother of Kyle and Brian, she most have gotten married at a very young age," I told Vicky.

"Well, you may be right, but I think it is the money too, I mean, she would not stress herself so much you know, because of the wealth her family possess, with such a wealth girl, I will look twice younger than my age," Vicky said to me.

"Oh yeah, Vicky..." I replied... agreeing with her, that is what money can do to you I thought, if only I had such luxury, maybe I would not be looking so bad myself, maybe that Sonia wouldn't be talking down on me," I said within and not paying attention to what Vicky joked about, I only smiled at her when she tapped on my shoulders playfully, oh how I wish by some miracle luck will shine on me, to change things for the better for me and my kids.

I do not know if I was being too hasty earlier returning the money I was given by Kyle's family, that would have been counted as luck for some people, but if it were to be someone else, I would have received it with an open mind, but coming from Kyle's family and with an insult like that, it never can be a miracle to me...

"Snap out of it, Kim, I know that you are not paying attention to me now, your mind is somewhere else," Vicky told me.

"You do know me so well, Vicky, you do..." I said smiling at her and she smiling at me in return, before walking back into Alex's ward with Vicky next to me...
