Kimberly Greenwood’s POV

"How did it go Kim?" Jimmy asked the moment I walked into Alex's ward.

"It went Okay, Jimmy," I replied without looking at him, I am a little angry at him too, for supporting Vicky's action earlier.

"Mummy," Sandra called lifting her head off Jimmy's lap, she woke up at the sound of my voice. "Oh, my baby... I've missed you so much," I said taking Sandra in my arm's.

"Where were you, Mummy? Alex already woke up," Sandra told me in her sweet little voice, wrapping her little arms around my neck.

"Yes, darling, I know he did," I said to her in return, trying to sound normal again given how angry I am with everything that has been going on.

"How is Alex doing?" I asked to no one in particular, I could see how Vicky stared at me and I bet she is still angry because I returned the cheque to Kyle.

"Dr Sam, was here earlier to check up on him, and he said he's doing fine," Jimmy said to me taking Sandra from me, I guess he could see how exhausted I am at the moment even though I try my best to handle it and besides I have not eaten properly since this whole incident, but I had to carry Sandra anyway, it felt like ages since I last had my daughter in my arms, and I wish I could do that now too with my boy, Alex.

"Thanks, Jimmy," I told him as he took Sandra from me, "anyway, did Doctor Sam say when Alex is going to be awake again?" I asked this time turning to look at Jimmy.

"He didn't say," Jimmy said, "but I guess he'll be fine by the time he wakes up again, he gave him an injection before leaving," Jimmy added looking for me to Alex, who is still sleeping on his bed.

"Are you happy now?" Vicky asked coming in between me and Jimmy's conversation.

"It is good to know, Jimmy, I think I need to go talk to Dr Sam, I said ignoring Vicky's statements.

"I said are you happy now that you have returned the cheque?" Vicky asked again coming in between me and Jimmy's conversation.

"Let it go now, Vicky," Jimmy said turning to look at Vicky.

"No, Jimmy, I would like her to answer me," Vicky said to Jimmy before turning to me again." I want to know if she feels better now returning the cheque she would have used to take care of her kids and herself," Vicky said referring to me angrily.

"I told you, Vicky, that I do not want the cheque, what part of that do you not understand? I want to raise my kids myself and I do not need the help of that bastard or anything from his family," I told Vicky calmly, I do not want Sandra to see us fighting but I guess it is already late.

"Mummy, are you and auntie Vicky fighting?" Sandra asked looking from me to Vicky.

"Oh, no sweetie, we are not fighting," I told Sandra brushing her hair with my palms, "are we fighting Vicky?" I asked Vicky turning to wink an eye to her, gesturing for her to reply.

"No Sandra, I and your mum are not fighting, we are only having a conversation here, it is nothing to worry about baby," Vicky said coming to touch Sandra's hair too, but eying me from the corner of her eyes, I know she is mad at me for returning the cheque, she has always wanted me to let Kyle share in the responsibility of my kids, but after seeing how he is, I am glad I never accepted to do that, even with all the hardship I had to go through, and will go through.

"I need to go see doctor Sam in his office," I told them.

"Why, is there a problem?" Jimmy asked, "He was here some moments ago, before you came in." Jimmy added.

"I would like him to discharge us immediately, I need to take my son home, I told him ignoring Vicky, the look on her face shows that she still feels mad at me, I don't care now anyway she will come around, she will definitely come around.

"Why so soon, Kim?" Jimmy asked, "you can at least wait until we are sure of Alex's health, besides, it's already late." He added.

"They want us out of here Jimmy so there's no point staying any longer," I replied. "I am only going to wait until tomorrow because it's getting late already, that's why I want to see doctor Sam, I would like him to start preparing for our discharge tonight, so that by tomorrow we are out of here latest by noon," I told Jimmy.

"And where will you take him, when you are not sure of his health condition yet?" Vicky asked, I know she is trying not to sound angry and I know that she cares about our welfare.

"I will either take him to a hospital where I can afford the bills or take him home if he is good to go home, that's why I needed to speak to Dr Sam, I want him to advice me medically on what to do," I said to them.

"I do not think it is a good idea, taking him out of this hospital just yet, this is one of the best hospitals here in this city, Kim, allow your son get the best treatment he can get before taking him out, don't listen to what that Brian of a man said about leaving here immediately," Jimmy told me,

"Neither should she concern herself with not accepting their money either, believe it or not, Kim, you are entitled to that money," Vicky added, still trying to remain cool and I know it's because of Sandra.

"You are not also sure of Alex's condition yet why be in a hurry to take him away, why not wait until he recovers completely at least, before leaving, it is not like they are here to chase you away," Jimmy added.

"Do you want me to wait until that happens?" I asked Jimmy, "Well, my mind is made up on leaving, I do not want to be embarrassed any further, and I am going to leave this Hospital whether you and Vicky are in support of my decision or not..."
