Chapter 46: Chapter 46

Kyle's Greenwood’s POV.

"F*ck! f*ck! f*ck! Kyle why can't I just talk to her, how can I let her go just like that? You just couldn't even say a thing, why is it so difficult?" I muttered to myself as I watched her taxi drive away.

How do I explain to her that everything that's been going on is just a misunderstanding? Nothing but a misunderstanding, I said within me, "F*ck!" I cursed again out loud this time, after picking up the cheque she threw on my face.

"How can Brian do this after I told him not to?" I muttered angrily to myself when I saw the figures written on it, this is Brian's writing , how can he go ahead and give her a check? I asked within me.

I need to go and see Brian, Sonia may be right, after all, Brian has some explaining to do.

"Hey Philip, open the gate, get the driver here immediately," I said to the security man regarding the gate.

"Okay, right away, sir," Philip the security man replied, running towards the gate, "excuse me, sir Kyle, did that lady bother you? And how come you are here by yourself? Didn’t Ma'am Sonia bring you herself?" Philip asked after letting me in, I knew he would be surprised to see me like this, this is the first time I have come home like this.

"What? How is that any concern of yours?" I snapped at him, even though I expected him to act like this given the kind of person he is, I'm not just ready for this.

"Sir Kyle, am only just asking because you have never been home like this before..." he said again walking past me.

"Why can't you just mind your own business," I snapped at him again, interrupting him from his comment, if I didn't he would go on and on, "call me the driver, tell him to bring the car immediately," I commanded walking closer to the security post.

"Okay, sir Kyle," He said, "I'm sorry, sir Kyle, but you don't look good," He said to me after he had dropped the call.

"I told you to mind your business," I told him angrily, I don't need to be reminded of how not strong I am at the moment.

"I'm sorry, sir Kyle, but you don't look good," Philip insisted.

I glared at him instead without saying anything to him, I guess he could see how weak I am, but that doesn't matter now to me anyway, I just need to go talk to Brian, he has some explaining to do why must he carry out dad's instruction all the time? Could it be that's Sonia is right?

"The driver is here, sir Kyle," Philip told me shortly afterwards rather slowly, he remained quiet after I glared at him.

"Okay," I said to him, turning to see the car pull over.

"Are you sure you can go out like this, sir Kyle?" Philip asked, when Henry one of the drivers that came to pick me up opened the car door for me, I didn’t know he followed me anyway.

"Yes, Philip," I replied climbing slowly into the car.

"Please look after him, Henry," Philip told Henry the driver, I can't believe he's still looking out for me after speaking to him in the manner I did.

"Sure, Philip," Henry replied, closing the car door.

I stared at Philip from the car rearview mirror as he ran back to open the gate for us to leave.

I feel a little sorry for the way I spoke to Philip today anyway, I have never spoken to him like this before or any of the housekeepers or workers for that matter, I think this whole thing with Kimberly is taking a toll on me, when am I ever going to be free from this? And to top it all, Sonia and my family are making it more difficult than it already is...

I folded my palms into a fist, getting angry again as I recalled what's being going on since this morning, it may not have gotten to the point where I am now with Kimberly, if Brian didn't show up with Sonia in the hospital after I finished donating my blood to Alex in the first place.

Now instead of making up with Kimberly like I thought I would after Alex's transfusion, it's getting into one quarrel to another with her, I think she hates me more now than the first time we met in the hospital, I could see and feel that with the way she looked at and spoke to me.

"Imagine me, a puppet of Sonia," I scoffed, sweeping through my face with my palms when I recalled her statement, I wish I could turn the hands of time, back to the time after I rapped her, as that rap was inevitable because of the circumstances then, I wished I had gone back to apologise to her then, maybe, all these unnecessary misunderstandings would have been averted.

"Where are we going to, Sir Kyle?" Henry asked as he drove out of the gate.

"To the office," I told him, almost immediately.

"Excuse me, sir Kyle, if you don't mind me asking, what are you going to do in the office? It's already getting late, maybe you can work from home as you do sometimes giving your state of health right now," Henry told me peaking at me from the car mirror in front of him.

"I have a business to attend to there, Henry, so drive faster," I told him, trying to control the anger that's rising inside of me, I do not want to take it out on him too as I did, Philip...

"Okay, sir Kyle," Henry said, driving a little faster than he did...
