Kimberly Brown's POV

"That's her," Sonia said when she stormed into the ward with two policemen, I am trying to figure out what was going on when one of the officers said.

"You're under arrest Madam, for the assault of Miss Sonia Roberts,"

"What?" Vicky said walking to my side, together with Jimmy, we were still in Alex's ward after Kyle and his brother left, I was still angry at their rude behaviour, especially Sonia's.

"What's the meaning of this?" I asked immediately, looking from the policemen to Sonia who is standing beside them fuming with anger I guess.

"Take her away officers, she dares to slap me in the face," she yelled, "Just wait until am done with you," she added.

"Wait officers, you can't do this? You are going too far, she's not a criminal, " Jimmy said in my defence when one of the policemen brought out a handcuff,

"Give me your hands, madam," the officer said ignoring Jimmy completely.

"You can't do this, officer, not in front of my children, my son needs me here," I snapped, when I saw the look on Sandra's face, "You can't do this Sonia," I yelled at her.

"Oh yes, I will, at least this is going to teach you to know your place." She brawled.

I glared at her, frustrated with What's going on, how can this happen to me? How this be happening and even in a hospital, "I can't leave my son, he needs me here, can't you see that?" I yelled at the policemen, pointing at my son Alex, who is still lying on the bed, "My son will wake up any moment from now, I need to be here for my boy," I cried, when I saw that they were adamant.

"You should have thought about that when you went ahead and slapped me," Sonia said to me.

"You w*tch..."I yelled at her unable to control my emotions, I feel like slapping her so hard to see if that could make her civil.

"Be careful with your words madam," one of the policemen said to me, "Let's go," the other policeman added.

"Mummy, where are you taking my mummy?" Sandra asked the police,

"Mummy," she cried when they said nothing but pushed me forward towards the door.

"Sweetie, mummy is coming okay, please stay with your Aunty Vicky and Uncle Jimmy for now okay," I told Sandra.

"Please don't take my mummy away," Sandra pleaded with the policemen, this almost brought tears to my eyes, I feel so heartbroken seeing my daughter like this.

"Oh no, what a touching moment, your mummy didn’t think about you before she went ahead and slap my face, so it's only right I teach her a lesson," Sonia said walking close to Sandra.

"Get away from her, you b*tch," Vicky snapped at her pulling Sandra away from her.

"Mind your language, or you'll join her," she said, walking close to Vicky, pointing at me.

"Get away from them, Sonia," I yelled, "Did you see that, Officers?" I asked angrily, turning to the officers, I wonder who this woman is for them to neglect her behaviour and treat me like this.

"Let's go, Miss," One of the officers told Sonia.

"Did you see that?" I asked the officers again, pointing to what Sonia is doing, I think she is scaring my daughter, "This is the person you have come with to arrest me? How can you ignore this, she started it," I said to the police officers who only gestured for me to go on.

I think Jimmy got angry and walked over to where Sonia is standing in front of Vicky and Sandra, and pulled at her hand trying to get her away from them.

"Get your hands off me," Sonia yelled at Jimmy pulling her arm away from him.

"Please look after my kids okay," I told Vicky, who lifted Sandra in her arms.

"Am coming with you Kim," Jimmy said walking behind us.

"And what do you think you're going to do there?" Sandra said mockingly at Jimmy's statement, "Are you going to free her?" She asked again pausing by the door, letting out a mocking laugh.

"He’s going to be the hero and save her from you guys, so stay at alert guys," she said to the policemen who laughed as well.

"Don't waste your time coming with us, because she's not going to leave there until I say so, and you cannot even bail her okay," Sonia told Jimmy, "so save yourself the trouble, you can stay back and babysit," she told him spitefully this time.

"Don't listen to her, Kim," Jimmy told me.

"Oh, I think he wants to be her escort then," Sonia said to the policemen pointing to Jimmy, "Anyway, you are welcome to being her escort, just don't do anything stupid or you're going to join her." She added and walked ahead while we followed behind.

I shook my head and bit down my lower lip angrily, look what that b*stard, Kyle, has as a fiancée, I bet they complement each other so well, birds of the same feather as some people will call, I never imagined being arrested, away from my children and in a situation like this.

"Excuse me? What's going on here?" Doctor Sam asked, looking surprised as he bumped into us on our way out of the hospital, "What's the meaning of this, Officers?" He asked again almost immediately.

"What does it look like, Doctor Sam?" Sonia asked, walking backwards, she was walking ahead, I guess she didn't notice Doctor Sam earlier because she walked past him before.

"She’s under arrest Doctor," One of the policemen said to him.

"For what exactly?" Doctor Sam asked as he furrowed his brows at the policemen and to Sonia.

"For assaulting Miss Sonia Roberts," the other policeman replied.

"What?" Doctor Sam asked, turning to Sonia again.

"What do you mean by what? You were present when she slapped me, weren't you?" Sonia snapped.

"Do you realise this is a hospital, and that this lady’s son needs his mother by his side?" Doctor sam said looking from Sonia to the policemen.

"Didn't you see her son's condition?" Doctor Sam asked again.

"Am sorry Doctor, but we are only doing our job," one of the policemen told him.

"This is a bit too much, don't you think? What's with the handcuffs then?" Doctor Sam asked again pointing at my writs.

"Just doing our job, Doc." One of the police officers said again.

"Let's go, madam," the policeman added, gesturing for me to go on.

"Please pay attention to Alex, Doctor Sam," I told him before moving again, I watched as some of the people in the hospital stared at us, including the nurses present, I looked down feeling very embarrassed right now as I am being taken away in handcuffs like a common criminal.

"You know what to do guys," Sonia said to the policemen, when we approached their car, "make sure to lock her up and do not release her until I say so," she instructed the policemen.

"Got it, ma'am," the policemen replied her.

I looked at her furiously wishing there's something I can do, as she walked over to her own car.

"Get in..." one of the police officers told me bending my head forcefully with his palm, turning my head away from Sonia.

"Take it easy, officer," Jimmy snapped from behind, I guess he is furious as well by the whole incident as it is with me.

"How much did she pay you?" I asked the policemen as we drove off.

"Watch your tongue, Madam," one of them said turning to peek at me from the front seat of the car, the both of them are seated in the front seat, with me at the back and still in handcuffs.

"Isn't it obvious that she paid you guys handsomely for this, because this is not how it should be, so tell me, how much did she pay you guys?" I asked again cause I've already lost my cool, being separated from my children, especially Alex at this critical moment of his life is enough to drive me nuts.

"I said shut it, woman," or I'll be forced to shut it for you myself," the officer driving said peaking at me from the car mirror right in front of him.

"Go ahead, why don't you go ahead officers," I snapped furiously at them.

"I see you've gone mad, woman," the officer who is not driving said turning to glare at me, I glared at him too.

"Leave her be, man, she doesn't know whose web she's caught in," the officer driving told the other officer who just turned around again looking ahead.

"What's the meaning of that? What's the meaning of what he just said?" I asked within me feeling uneasy right now... I turned around to look out behind us, and felt at ease a little knowing Jimmy is driving right behind us...
