Kyle Greenwood’s POV

I walked alongside doctor Sam feeling very terrible, I could hear the doctor talking to me but I am not paying attention to him right now because my mind is lost in its thought.

I was so shocked the moment I saw who the mother of the child I knocked down with my car is, who would have thought that the mother of that boy would be the woman I have longed to see for so long now.

All this while, I have been nursing the thought of seeing her again and making her mine after asking for her forgiveness, little, did I know that she is already married and has two kids.

“But why two kids?” I asked within me, I remember the little girl called her mum, and she has also said the boy is her son, they looked quite the same age or maybe they are twins.

“Yes, twin.” A voice in my head said to me and that should be it.

Her husband must be a lucky man, I said within me again, a good thing she didn't recognize me because if she did, am sure she would have reacted differently, I think.

“What a pity Kyle, you are now going to be stuck with Sandra forever.” The voice in my head said to me again, and I bit my lower lip at the thought.

I was very surprised when I saw the love of my life again, she is still looking very beautiful, I bet if I had met her anywhere else I would never have imagined that she is married not to talk about having kids.

Her husband must love her I think, seeing the way they supported each other, I said within me again as the image of her leaning on her husband and him holding her shoulder flashed through my memory.

“Kyle... Kyle?” I heard doctor Sam call out my name, jolting me out of my thoughts.

“Yes, doctor Sam,” I said coming back to the present.

“Have a seat Kyle.” The doctor said pointing at a chair in front of his table, I looked around me briefly before sitting down, I did not realize that we are in his office already.

“Where were you?” He asked looking at me closely.

I just shook my head avoiding answering his question, if only he knew what my heart is going through.

I just don't know why of all the kids in this town, it has to be her kid that I would knockdown.

“Kyle what happened to you, I mean how did this happen?” he asked looking at me.

“I don't know Doc., this day was doomed from the start.” I said to doctor Sam, and as a matter of fact, the day was doomed.

I recalled all that had happened until now, starting from the call from my dad early this morning because of the meeting to this very moment.

“Kyle You have a call.” Doctor Sam said, looking at me intently.

“Oh sorry,” I said and then put my hand in my pocket to reach for the phone, I did not hear my phone ringing.

I looked at the phone and then put it down again after turning it off when I saw who it was that's calling me and I am wondering why Sonia would be calling my phone this very moment.

“Not important.” Doctor Sam asked, still looking at me.

“No, nothing to worry about,” I replied.

“Well tell me about the child, is he going to make it?.” I asked because I wanted to know why doctor Sam asked me to come with him to his office.

“Yes about that, I must tell you, it's not good, but if he can survive these first few hours, then there's going to be hope.” Dr Sam said.

“Please do whatever you can to save that child, and if there is anything I can do let me know at once.” I pleaded, because the last thing I want is to be the killer of her child, the woman I love most in the world.

“Oh yes Kyle, am getting to that, you see that child has a rear type of blood just like you, and I’ll want to ask if you will be ready to donate your blood to him because he is going to need it, but of course one of his parents much be a match, am just telling you so that you can be on standby.” Dr. Sam said to me.

“Well off course I am going to donate my blood to the child if the need arises, just tell me when you need me...” I said to him, when suddenly I heard a knock on the door to the doctor's office and doctor Sam heard it too.

“Come in...” Dr. Sam said, looking towards the door, just like I did and I was surprised to see who it is that just walked in...
