Chapter 101: Chapter 101

"Mum..." Alex and Sandra screamed for joy the moment they saw me walk into Kyle's room.

"Alex-Sandra..." I called back at them too, falling on my knees as they ran towards me because I know what they are going to do next and as expected, they both ran into my arms.

"Oh, my babies!" I exclaimed wrapping my arms around them, "I have missed you so much," I screamed out of joy pressing them tightly to my body.

"Mum, we have missed you too so Mum," Sandra said.

"Yes, Mummy, we missed you so much," Alex said to me too, their little arms hugging me too in return.

"Uuhh.... what about me?" Vicky asked Alex and Sandra, making a face and pretending to be jealous.

"And me too?" Jimmy added, almost immediately Alex and Sandra pulled away from me and ran towards Vicky and Jimmy.

"We missed you too, Aunty Vicky, uncle Jimmy..." Alex and Sandra echoed as they fell into both their arms.

"We missed you both too very much," Jimmy told them.

"You cannot believe how hurt we were when we learnt that you were taken from your Mum," Vicky told them, and Jimmy nodded too in agreement I guess.

"Alex and I were terrified when that evil witch took us you know," Sandra said to Vicky and Jimmy too.

"Terrified?" I asked in between as I walked closer to them.

"Yes, Mum, we were," Alex answered instead, "she told us that we will never see our mummy again," Alex added.

"She said that to you?" Jimmy asked.

"Yes, she did," I answered instead of them, I recalled when she told them that back in my house, "I was there, Jimmy," I added.

"Tell me did that woman hurt you?" I asked peering at both their eyes.

"No, Mummy, Daddy did not let her," Sandra said in response to my question.

"Daddy?" I and Vicky asked at the same time, I bet she is as surprised as I am to hear her say that, Jimmy too looked surprised, I wonder what happened here and what they told my kids.

"Yes, Mum, we have found our dad, Mum," Alex said in response his eyes lightning up in joy.

"Yes, Mummy, we do not know we have a rich dad," Sandra said too, her eyes glowing as she speaks.

"Look around you, Mum, he bought us so many toys and he played with us so much, oh Mummy," Sandra said jiggling too as she speaks.

"Mum, I told you before right, that uncle Kyle is not a bad person, I mean my Dad," Alex said, "he is our real dad right Mum? He told us that himself, even his mum too, she said she is our grandMum." He added.

I looked up from Alex-Sandra to Vicky and Jimmy, who both looked at me too in return, I bet they are surprised as I am, I did not know they are going to tell my kids so much in just one night they have spent here.

"Tell me, Alex-Sandra, what happened here, I mean, how did you two come to find out that Kyle is your real dad?" I asked peering at both of them again.

"You tell us, Mummy, is uncle Kyle our real Dad?" Alex asked instead, peering at me, Sandra too.

"Yes, Mum, we were going to ask you that when we see you," Sandra added.

I stared at them both taken aback by their questions, I know my kids are inquisitive and smart too, but I did not expect them to ask me this question like this, at least not now when I asked them a question.

"Well... he is your real Dad," I replied rather slowly, gazing into their eyes.

"Yeah...," they both shouted out for joy, surprising me, I looked at Jimmy and Vicky who looked like they are surprised as well.

"What is going on?" Vicky asked them rather slowly too.

"Mum, you knew he is our dad all along, why didn't you tell us?" Alex asked without responding to Vicky's question almost like he ignored her question.

"Yes, Mummy, why did you tell me before that our Dad is dead when he is not dead?" Sandra asked furrowing her brows at me.

Oh no, this can't be happening, I said within me, wondering what I am going to say to them that will not sound wrong, why can't these kids act like kids their age? I asked within me, looking down at their faces.

"Why did you lie to us, Mum?" Alex asked too, frowning at me now too.

Vicky shot me a look, that look that says, I told you so, and I now know that she is right in what she told me earlier about me not lying to my kids like that.

"Look kids, I think there was a misunderstanding of some sort, I do not think your mum will lie to you about something this sensitive just like that, I mean, it is your Dad we are talking about here," Jimmy told them rather slowly, squatting in front of them this time.

"Misunderstanding?" Sandra asked, turning to Jimmy.

"What sort of Misunderstanding is that?" Alex asked too turning to Jimmy.

"Uh... Well... I do not know but..." Jimmy stammered, I just he is thinking of the right words to say to them now.

"It was completed, Alex-Sandra," I said immediately to bail Jimmy out, and I am thankfully her tried to cover for me because it gave me the time to quickly come up with something.

"Complicated?" Alex and Sandra asked at the same time.

"Yes, complicated, Alex-Sandra, and it is something you two cannot understand now, I will explain it to you when you both grow up, alright," I said to them.

"We can understand now mum, tell us," Sandra urged me, sounding like a grown up.

"No, sweetie, not now, the most important thing is that you have found your dad right?" I said and asked them.

"Yes, kids, so tell me, what is your Dad like?" Vicky asked them coming in between, and coming to my rescue.

"Oh auntie Vicky, our dad is the best dad in the whole world you know," Sandra replied her face lightning up again.

"Look, take a look at all the toys he bought for us," Alex added pointing towards the corner Kyle had piled the toys earlier, his face too glowing again as he speaks.

"And you know what?" Sandra asked looking at our faces.

"What?" Vicky and Jimmy asked at the same time in curiosity I guess.

"He put that Miss Sonia in her place," Alex said instead.

"In her place, how do you mean?" I asked them now being curious as well.

"That miss Sonia was with us in a room they put us in upstairs and if I remembered it correctly, this is what daddy Kyle said to her when she told him not to take us with him because she is our mum to be," Sandra said and became serious all of a sudden.

"He said "you will never be their Mum, Sonia, you know why? That is because they already have a Mum..." that is what daddy Kyle said to miss Sonia," Sandra said to us, trying to imitate what Kyle said to Sonia, I guess.

"He said that to her?" I asked in surprise unable to believe my ears.

"Yes, Mum, Sandra is right, that is the way he said it and his face was serious too, I think he is mad at that Miss Sonia," Alex added.

"I do not want my dad to marry her anyway and I am going to tell him that," Sandra said almost like she is talking to Alex.

"Me too, I do not want her to be our mum, I will make sure to tell daddy Kyle that, he should marry mum instead," Alex replied Sandra.

"You are right, Alex," Sandra told him too in return, they talked as if they are the only once in the room.

I looked from them to Vicky and Jimmy unable to say anything to them, this whole thing is dazzling to me, I do not imagine my kids also want Kyle to marry me and they talked about it in my presence as if I were not there and as if my opinion does not matter.

"It is alright kids," Vicky said interrupting their conversation, "it's time you guys freshen up, only we came here in a hurry that we did not remember to get you toothbrush and not even change of clothes," Vicky added, looking from one kid to the other.

"You do not have to worry about that, aunty Vicky, our dad got us lots of things last night, come we will show you," Alex said taking Vicky's hand.

"I bet you guys did not remember me at all then, because you have found your Daddy Kyle," I said looking from Alex to Sandra, I suddenly became jealous of how they are taken by Kyle.

"Oh no, Mum, we wished you were here," Sandra said to me.

"Yes, Mummy, Sandra is saying the truth," Alex said pausing to look at me, "we told daddy Kyle and he promised us that he will bring you back to us and he did," Alex added, and looking at them both I know they are telling the truth, my heart suddenly became at easy again, and judging by what my kids have said and what has happened so far since this morning, I do not think Kyle is that bad, at least not as bad as I had presumed him to be...
