Chapter 391: Chapter 391
Chapter 391 Leon's Meal
Winny never expected that the person she betrayed was Leon.
Although she couldn't get in touch with the supreme circle in the capital, she knew about the Williams' family legend.
It was an existence beyond her reach, and she wanted it all to herself.
But with what she had done, Winny knew that she didn't stand a chance anymore. However, if she had waited patiently and put up with it, she would have been the daughter-in-law of the Williams family.
She also thought that if she became Leon's wife, she could kill the Carter family on her own accord.
The Williams family were mostly known in California while the Carter family were known in Texas, so if Winnie had the opportunity to kill them, she would be able to get a hold of the power she always wanted. Not to mention, her ancestors would be ecstatic if they knew about what she did.
However, the opportunity disappeared in a blink of an eye.
"Get on the plane and leave immediately. The tribe needs her!" Leon shouted as he gave an order to the two young men wearing black suits.
The men nodded and followed Leon's orders.
Meanwhile, Winny was powerless. She couldn't feel anything but remorse towards herself. It was difficult for her to accept what she had done, and she knew that her previous actions would pay the price.
After Leon was done with Winny, he drove back to the residence of the Rossetti family.
After all, Leon promised to treat Magee. There was no way that he could back out.
In the near future, he planned on taking over the commercial empire in Washington, not because he's the first son and his status is higher than that of Magee, but because he's currently part of the Williams family and a descendant of the Savior Hall.
Although it was not possible to cure everyone, the thing about Magee was that she was an adulterer.
And Leon knew that.
When Leon stepped into the Rossetti's residence, the Rossetti family saw him and there was suddenly a change in their attitude.
Leon was respected as the guest of honor, after all. The Rossetti family suddenly began to treat him with respect, and no one bothered to question his medical skills, nor disrespect him anymore.
Tobey suddenly bowed down before Leon and suddenly reminisced the time when he threatened him, which made Tobey ashamed of himself.
Leon told Tobey that it didn't matter anymore, so Tobey breathed a sigh of relief.
When everything had gone by smoothly, Leon then went to Betty's home after he dealt things with the Rossetti family.
He promised to treat Betty's father, who was Jeff Brown. Fortunately, the relationship with Betty was alright, so when he found her, Betty told Leon that her father had been picked up by his relatives in J City.
The Brown family currently had several influential relatives in J City and there are many famous doctors that lived there too, but Betty was disappointed about the fact that her father had left without meeting Leon at all.
"I believe in your medical skills, but my aunt is just too stubborn. She said that there were many doctors who could treat him, so she decided to pick him up." Betty sighed.
"In fact, my father didn't want to go at all, but he had no choice!" She added. It was obvious that she was contemplating on saying something but decided not to tell anymore.
There was also another reason why Betty's father didn't want to go to J City, and that was because Jeff wanted to see his daughter get married.
After listening to Betty's explanation, Leon simply nodded. "There's nothing wrong with J City. There should be someone who can cure uncle's illness, but if we let him get treated, he'll be alright in less than three days."
Leon certainly didn't take things seriously. In fact, he felt that Jeff was most likely to live longer than he should.
And even though It's true that J City has many famous doctors, there are not many omnipotent doctors like him. There are only family doctors who specialize in certain diseases.
From Texas to J City, it was a shame that Jeff missed the best opportunity for a good treatment, Leon thought.
"My aunt said that she knew a descendant of an ancient doctor from J City, But I only trusted you." Betty said as she looked at Leon with a stern look on her face.
There were very few descendants of ancient doctors in Washington and there are only about five or six at most. Each of them had their own unique names, such as J City's "Silver Needle King".
However, when Leon was a teenager, he studied medicine with Master Liana and encountered famous doctors in various parts of the country.
He had many masters and learned so much that he couldn't remember a lot of things clearly anymore.
"I'll be honest with you." Leon told her, "I don't need to spend too much energy to cure Jeff's disease. I can cure what others can cure, and I can cure what others can't."
"I know, I believe you Leon." Betty sighed as she felt helpless, tears dripping on her cheeks. "I just couldn't believe my aunt actually did that."
"Well, if you need me just let me know anytime, okay?" Leon told Betty.
"I'll see you off." Betty said as she opened her eyes, wiping away her tears in the process.
"No, you should rest, Betty."
"I'm fine, it's alright." Betty assured him. She wanted to spend more time with Leon, after all.
Betty liked Leon a lot, but she always considered her sister, who liked him as well.
She knew that she couldn't take the risk.
When Betty and Leon went downstairs, she was shocked by the car that was parked outside.
"Is this your car?" Betty told him.
"Yeah, it's mine."
"Lucky to be you, then." Betty pouted, who was obviously jealous by the car that Leon owned.
Leon simply laughed.
Although he said that the car was his own, Betty thought it was probably her sister's car that was given to Leon.
Leon walked into his car and said goodbye to Betty. Soon after, he decided to go back to Century Court.
When he almost reached his destination, Rachel suddenly called.
"Hey, Leon! The meal I made for you is ready. It's a new dish, so I don't know if you'll like it." Rachel told Leon and smiled. "Tina isn't here, though. She's with her colleague and told me that she won't be coming back tonight."
Considering that Tina and Leon weren't really on good terms with each other, Rachel decided to make Leon a meal that she knew he'll like.
She was preparing herself to be a good wife, after all.
