Chapter 364: Chapter 364

Chapter 364 Save Me

A huge atrocity just happened. Leon kicked Joy out of the way as they could only feel the rage from the fact that that trapping Thomas was the actual goal stated in the contract.

Joy begged for another chance, but it seemed like Leon and Thomas had already decided upon turning their back on the deal.

"Thomas, I don't think it's necessary to drink this tea. What do you think?" Leon glanced at him as he asked.

"Yes, there's really no need to drink. Let us go ahead and play golf." Thomas smiled as they ignored Joy's cries.

Still, everything seemed confusing to Julia and Betty. The relationship between Leon and Thomas was unexplainable. It was never in their family's nature to treat someone the same way Thomas had treated Leon. His knowledge on business and the way he moved the meeting to save Thomas from creating a regretful decision was something out of the ordinary that a person like him would do.

Betty followed as soon as Leon and Thomas had left.

Left abandoned and alone, Joy could only feel the shame and embarrassment the situation had brought in. It was not long for the waiter to come and interrupt his moment of silence.

"Sir, you spent a total of 600 hundred thousand dollars" he said.

"What? How is that possible?" Joy asked him furiously.

"Your room service bill, sir" the waiter replied.

Joy was confused and infuriated with the news the waiter had brought. It was one problem after the other. His situation with Leon and the agreement he was supposed to get Thomas to sign, failed miserably. Now, the hotel is robbing him with an insane bill.

He did not want to accept what happened. He got furious with the waiter and almost started a fight with him.

"This is outrageous. You're robbing me!" Joy screamed in rage.

"If you cannot afford this hotel, then don't ever bother coming back" the waiter stated.

Joy instantly grabbed the waiter's collar and pulled him close. He was about to release the first punch, but the waiter screamed for help and alerted the security.

They all rushed as they surrounded Joy and forced him to stop. He was still furious as his face has gotten even more flustered from the scene.

He resisted their grips as he demanded to be heard. "Just a moment. I'll make a phone call." Joy tried to put on a calm face as he had suddenly thought of an idea. Despite the conundrum, a hint of positivity washed him over with a new look upon his eyes.

Joy quickly dialed his father's number and shouted, "Dad, come and save me. I need six hundred thousand dollars to pay for this hotel."

His dad, Kerwin was deeply disturbed by his request. He never asked for something this much or done something he could not fix on his own. It was rather odd and worrying for him.

"Are you feeding a village? What happened?" he replied in shock.

"I'm not going to explain anything right now. Just give me the money" he demanded like a spoiled child.

"Son, I had already invested more than half of our savings to Wall Street. If I give you the money now, it is like bleeding the family dry. You have to stay one more night over there until I sort things out" Kerwin painfully said to his son.

"No, please! You have to help me." Joy panicked as tears started falling from his eyes.

From afar, Julia was able to witness the despair and humiliation that Joy felt. She did not know if she would be disappointed or saddened from the fact that the Bethune family could not afford saving their son from the situation that he was stuck in.

Julia had rejoiced a bit in her heart. Fortunately, she was not married to a Bethune family member, but her financial resources are said to be somewhat general compared to the larger families.

But in comparison to the Bethune family, they can build so many infrastructures because of the financial backing from the Carter family behind it, but this does not mean that Bethune family was free to spend the money like it was a blank cheque.

To put it bluntly, behind the scenes were someone from the Carter family who had always answered the call from the Bethune family as to what was planned next. As far as it goes, the Bethune family was merely just a puppet to the Carter's.

The thing with real estate was that if you want to start from scratch without being backed up by a large family, you really have to rely on your own strength and compete with the rest of the families and wealthy individuals pursuing the same goals as you, but in the end, you may just become a puppet to a larger power. Some do not even have the chance to become puppets.

Julia glanced at Joy with a vicious but resentful look: You're not much better than that Leon Williams. At least he knows Thomas, you're just a local guy with a lot of money! "

This caused quite the stir between the group, which resulted in Thomas swearing so loudly they were kicked out of the tea house, when they were outside Thomas got so mad, he began to chase Joy but stopped instantly when he tasted the taste of blood in his mouth. When he stopped, he touched his upper lip and sure enough there was blood pouring out his nose.

This strange event immediately stopped Julia. She had a premonition of something bad. She was numb and were having goose bumps all over. Out of nowhere, Julia frowned, bowed her head, and vomited violently on the ground as she nearly collapsed. As she brought her hand to her mouth, she just covered it before a pool of blood and teeth started coming out. "What is going on?!" she screamed. "My Teeth!"

She suddenly felt a tightening, uncomfortable feeling across her cheeks and face, she felt her cheeks and her skin had transformed into something like an elderly person. It was wrinkled beyond repair. The lines and creases were clearly visible and it shocked Julia immensely.

She ripped her hat off in fear of what was happening and noticed all her hair had ripped out with it, every strand of hair on her head was falling out with ease. These strange changes made her panic and her heartbeat fast suddenly. She took out her makeup case and looked at her newly formed wrinkled skin. The makeup box fell to the ground. Julia was frightened as she became pale and colorless. In that moment, all that she was forced to think about was the necklace she was wearing.

The pearl necklace she wore was dug up in the tomb. Although Julia did not know the details of her situation, she thought Leon might be a great help. So, she made every effort to get Leon's attention. Leon, Betty, and Thomas did not go too far. She ran as fast as she could until she eventually caught up to them.

Toothless, mixed with blood stains, face wrinkled very much like walnut shells, coupled with a head of sparse hair Julia frantically yells to Leon. "Mr. Williams, please help me! Help me! I have no idea what is going on."
